As a songwriter and producer, if am working on something and am not feeling it,i put it down go play some games and one day ill be browsing thru and be like dam this song was great and suddenly everything starts coming to me. If you're forcing then your doing it wrong.
As a songwriter myself I definitely second this. And if there are any of these highlighted points you need to master, it'll be releasing your song, no matter how shitty it sounds to you. Turns out I've already been doing all of these steps without even knowing that's how most songwriters write now lol...I think the only artist I was aware of was Charlie Puth when I randomly watched a youtube video a few years back of him explaining how he wrote and produced his song 'Attention'. I remember at the time I was screaming at my screen like "No way!!! That's literally how I write all my songs too bro" Lol. The last song I released was back in 2018 yikes!...so even I have to work on that final step...releasing the damn song lol. I'm too critical of myself. Got a lot of catching up to do. Thank you so much for this video.
The reason why I always bring my phone wherever I go. Learned this lesson when a melody played on my head and I don't have my phone. Thank you so much AGAIN for this video. I really needed it now that I'm feeling kinda lost in my song ideas Always HELPS a lot. 😊❤️
