I'm not sure how Ashville, Daniel and the team manage to make a 18 minute video about changing the boom on a material handler and have me hooked from start to finish... I seriously think they could make a feature film about cleaning mud from a dumper and I'd pay to see it in the Odeon...
Fair play Daniel for spending all that money that nobody cares about and good man Flo for adopting so quick and learning in a short space of time great video guys
Off loaded a few trains loads of ballast , at Manchester metro link job , a few yrs ago now , watching this I wonder if people appreciate how easy it is to derail the wagons . Nice to see a smooth steady operator , hat s off to Flo , best wishes from New Zealand
@@TheByard no use trying to convince that dude. From his comment you can tell he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It takes a very skilled operator to do that job safely AND efficiently. Not only is he swinging that bucket but he’s also maneuvering that machine all over the yard.
Uraaaaa, a train montage at last, I've missed my fix ! I'm really glad that you've got everything sorted out, and your wise words at the end are so true: You need to build great relationships with your suppliers and contractors, and give staff the right tools for the job to keep everyone happy and make Ashville more efficient and cost effective. Well done! ❤
Very impressed Daniel, its been a long time coming, and working with Liebherr & GBFR to resolve an ongoing issue which would benefit yourselves, but their companies as well. Looking forward to see what other improvements you can do at the yard to innovate for your customers and drive efficiency (like your bagging plant.).
Very impressive bit of kit! Looks more and more like a dinosaur of the machine, which is awesome! Thanks for sharing your journey and so exciting to see your dream become reality.
It’s arrived. Yey! And, I missed the trains. Good job Flo, and all the teams involved. It’s always nice seeing you smile Daniel. Congratulations it’s all marvellous. Take Care❤😊
much respect on yer company dude! we do things much different here in California and always like seeing how its done in other places! hoping fer yer success and will watch how yer liehberr iron plays out. literally zero machines here in norther cali to speak of. my guys say they don't last in our conditions n they buy cat Komatsu n Deere Hitachi . always cool seeing a man succeed! couldn't imagine doin biz like this in London!
The idea is to buy near where spares etc. are available quickly. What conditions are they referring to, as the weather in the US is found in other places around the world.
12:10 was a very video game like shot. Also I know everything is possible but if an engineer calculated that the expended reach stick won't tip the unloader then it probably won't. For builders, the suspense was well built. No pun intended.
Great to see a beast of a machine, doing the job it was purchased to do with an operator who has serious teckers..and a boss who is an insperation to all
Finally a train #montage 🙌 you should have a single channel dedicated to unloading and loading of trains, live streaming with no editing 👌 you know it makes sense.
Hallet & Silbermann, Thats a name from the past well I'm talking the 1960s and setting the main supply and spoil loading site. At Ferry Lane, Tottenham where tunnel spoil was brought to the surface via a bottom dump system from the twin tunnels. Onto a conveyor belt up an incline and dumped in the yard for loading into Halls 11 cy trucks using a Matbro FE loader. H & S did a lot of equipment installation and transport for the Victoria Line tube project. I would like to suggest casting a level slab, to store the spare bucket and carry out the swap. This will ensure the pins line up easily and hoses don't drag in the dirt. Again, speeding up the changeover even more.
Daniel, I'm still impressed in your faith of LIE-bherr. It just seems like they miss sold you the LH60 and probably carried the wrong tape measure. How did they also mess up the connection having sold you the spec you wanted and site visits? As much as you advocate for LIE-bherr, I would say generally your videos, and all the issues with the LH60 and other Liebherr plant you have, doesn't put them in the best light.
awesome video we do that all day on the scrapyard of my company we are deloading 18+ waggons per shift plus we are loading scrap into vessels up to 60 tons per vessel we load up to 40 of these per 8h shift then it gets molten into bars and other forms best job i ever worked at
Never doubted it 👍 Have you ever thought about a Poly Cutting edge for the clamshell? I saw an episode where you were trying to cut the noise of scraping.
That thing was a beast even before it got the extra long arm, now it's on another level. Saving a 100 hundred hours a year is quite a bit when your dealing with material management.
the content of your video is already amazing. i dont think you need to create all this artificial "drama" every 2 minutes. it makes it cheesy, and reminds me of all these documentaries where everything goes wrong at the exact day the film crew is doing the filming "will the bucket clear the first wagons?" well, yeah, its obvious from the video that it will
Great solution, whilst it has cost money to solve it is a great solution. Flo already looks at home with the new stick. Hope we get some regular train offloading back on the weekly vids.
Yours is bigger than mine Dan! Haha! Top job, I hope GB Railfrieght bunged you a couple of quid towards that, as you're saving them diesel and time too!? 👌✌
Flo the lh60 is lifting off the ground when empty, but when full of material at full stretch it doesn't!?!?!?! You've got a magic machine there my friend
Lot of drama for something no doubt checked by your engineers and theirs… Thank heavens for all that suspenseful music, so we knew there was SO MUCH peril…
Having watched the sea dredged aggregate trains from Bretts at Cliffe in Kent, and limestone from Yeoman's, now Aggregate Industries quarry in Somerset being unloaded at Day's yard at Tolworth, I wonder if having a hopper discharge facility would impose more costs from GBRF and therefore be cost neutral or even cost prohibitive over the current arrangement. Hoppers are faster, but the locomotive is running the whole time the train is being discharged as it has to move the train along one wagon at a time over the pit. Tolworth trains are usually just 16 hoppers and it takes about 90 minutes to unload. A class 66 has a 140 litre 12 cylinder engine, the EMD710, each cylinder is 11.6 litres!. That's a lot of fuel GBRF would want paying for while they shunt the train. Plus pay for the driver and the man on the ground managing the movements.
Oh yes, oh yes. A train montage. The longer stick appears to have solved the problem. Can you put a heavier counter weight on, however I guess that will raise issues as well. You may need to put a red light on the stick, due to the height, so the little airports planes can see it 🤣😂.

i guess we all love machines
I made it two seconds and knew it was bollocks. You must be into that sort of thing.
Now you’ve got to change the arm on all of the soft toys to match 😂
😂 I like it 😂 …Mine that I purchased is first in line 😂
Fair play Daniel for spending all that money that nobody cares about and good man Flo for adopting so quick and learning in a short space of time great video guys

Very impressed with the operator flo very skilled driver , well done Daniel for finding a solution
Skilled driver ??? He’s emptying wagons ??? A good machine driver wouldn’t be doing that 😂😂
Flo makes it flow.
@@tonynewman8586 He's driving a very expensive piece of equipment, from very expensive wagons. Where, if damage is done very expensive downtime.
@@tonynewman8586 pipe down hater

Now the LH60 looks like a beast. The smaller arm looked so strange imo.
A standalone train montage. Love it
You're only as good as your worker's.

Hey, look - it's a train offload video!! Excellent!

I’m impressed at how well the truck is cleaned out by the clamshell bucket
flo is a master! love the content Daniel! been here since episode 1, never stop, youre an insperation to tradies all over the world!
Nice to see you upgrading/getting rid of the 2019 wagons via auction can't wait for the video
I don't know Jack about any of this, but yet I've sat and watched it all with interest! Excellent work by all.
Very impressive bit of kit! Looks more and more like a dinosaur of the machine, which is awesome! Thanks for sharing your journey and so exciting to see your dream become reality.
Brilliant Technical Episode, with great camera coverage AND it included A TRAIN. Congratulations all round.
Nice to see it all worked out 👍Flo is da man 👌.
one great thing i love about daniel is that he takes care of his employees and the machines, especially giving them bluetooth :)
Nice watching the Liebherr mechanics at work, real pro's.
I really like how excited Daniel gets for his business. i wish i still had that excitement for my business. hope i can get that back again.
aaaaaah the train montage returns!
It’s arrived. Yey! And, I missed the trains. Good job Flo, and all the teams involved. It’s always nice seeing you smile Daniel. Congratulations it’s all marvellous. Take Care❤😊
The production quality on this video is amazing, These people should be making movies!

I believe the first video I watched for Ashville was the delivery of the LH60. Kinda shocked it has been 2 years since then.
Now, may we have MOAR train montages, please! :)
12:10 was a very video game like shot. Also I know everything is possible but if an engineer calculated that the expended reach stick won't tip the unloader then it probably won't. For builders, the suspense was well built. No pun intended.
How bloody interesting was that love these little things you’d never see or think about. Another class vid by Asheville
Great to see a beast of a machine, doing the job it was purchased to do with an operator who has serious teckers..and a boss who is an insperation to all
Very nice. I’ve heard of other guys wishing they had a longer stick. I’ve never had an issue reaching the furthest corner of a rail car.
Hats off to the driver 👍
Glad to see the new configuration on the LH60 is up and running!
Its really cool that the videos are made for everyone. You don't need to have been on a mine to get it, vid is so well done
I like Flo's Workflow. The man just cannot be shaken
The LH60 is a fantastic piece of kit and the man using it is very skilled at his job.
Once again. Daniel and the team did an amazing job!
Awesome piece of kit! Now you have no excuse to bring back the train montages!!!!
Finally a train #montage 🙌 you should have a single channel dedicated to unloading and loading of trains, live streaming with no editing 👌 you know it makes sense.
@ashville Totally agree, a channel for live streaming trains.
Your production quality has improved tremendously this past two years
Fantastic addition to the LH60. Great job. I'm from Jamaica, really look forward to your videos
Glad you found a solution with liebherr Daniel. Especially as the lh60 was originally unfit for purpose. Now it is the machine you actually ordered. 👍

Well thought out Daniel, excellent. Flo is a Golden Handler, worth his weight in Gold to your Company.
The new graphics guy is doing a great job.
Loved the highlighting of the various parts you were talking about.
the smile on your face says it all !! well done , whats the next challenge

Quality video. Daniel and video team, Flo, Liebherr & GB railfreight great stuff.
Fantastic! Congrats TEAM!
Ashville on a Wednesday thats a treat😋
Well done Daniel - proper job there 😉👌🏼
Welldone Daniel flow a top man congratulations to all at Asheville
So cool ! A train and LH60 montage! Well done Daniel. I love machinery & trains and one day I will tour this yard.
FINALLY! it had to be said 18 months is far too long when you submitted the plans specs to the manufacture for a solution.
Finally, a long awaited train montage
Dan sitting here with the family waiting for episode 112
I'm glad it worked out Daniel, it looks great.
Clearly, despite my years of arguing to the contrary, size does matter. Who knew!!! 😘
I loved this video. I can see Ashville becoming a Netflis series in the future.
Daniel seems the kind of owner/gaffer that rings somebody to pick something off the floor so he doesn’t have too
Yet again the motivation of Daniel gets it done😁 well done👍
SHALOM 🔥
16:04 awsome! great peace of equipment

If it becomes a issue they could add counterbalance weights
It's not exactly full stretch reaching the 2nd line now, has to be close to lifting tho if it did lift at full reach empty
Weird as I was only looking today to see if I had missed this 1. Brill videos as usual
Hi Daniel, what a thoroughly good presentation by you and your team. A pleasure to watch and of course excellent collaboration with Liebherr.
Lot of drama for something no doubt checked by your engineers and theirs…

Love the mid week vids 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽

4 am and Iam watching Ashville , wonderful show incredible Machine
Awesome - love the engineering videos
This was an awesome video! Great job, Flo!
That is a monster of a machine 💪
Good watch and we’ll put together and we’ll done flo made it look easy 💪👍
To celebrate, I think we should have a montage of train montages?
looks amazing the lh60 with its new boom
I’ve been waiting so long for this video. Awesome 💪🏻
Nice! Solid upgrade!
Only Daniel could make a dry subject, for those of outside the industry, rather captivating. 🙂
very impressed Daniel and team keep up the good work,,
Twój kanał jest zajebisty wyróżniający się z tłumów.
pozdrawiam i życzę powodzenia
Been waiting for this one 🔥🔥🔥
Way to make effort to be as green as you can be. I would love to drive one of those. Looks fun.
Brilliant! Inspirational. Dumb question maybe. Do the hydraulic pumps need beefing up with the extra distance of line?
Really good video it was good to see the lh60 in action
Now can we have a train montage ! ?
It's a good video
Stick a GoPro on Flos cap, would be interesting to see his perspective when unloading the train
Oh yes, oh yes. A train montage. The longer stick appears to have solved the problem. Can you put a heavier counter weight on, however I guess that will raise issues as well. You may need to put a red light on the stick, due to the height, so the little airports planes can see it 🤣😂.
Looks sweet, does this mean we can the train montages back in weekly 🤞
Why are they taking back the old arm if you purchased the machine .
Why don’t you fit a clamshell attachment to the Liebherr R926 and be able to offload each train even quicker?
