I really think his stance starting with the bat on his shoulder makes him a little late to the ball. I hope they work on his swing in the off season. He has so much potential to be a dangerous hitter at the bottom of the order.
@@JulianWyllie I don’t mind his big swing ahead in the count, but when he’s behind he needs to shorten up, and he doesn’t adjust for the situation, he’s one dimensional, but he’s young and no doubt talented
@@JulianWyllie could be mechanical but I won’t pretend to know, might be more of a hero complex, don’t always need a dinger, but I don’t think he knows that yet, I do think he’s a smart young player and he’ll get there but not likely this year
Alonso's BB, SB and amazin slide was huge for the insurance run, since you know Diaz is going to let the first two guys on and scare the shit out of us. Made me feel so much better about the inning.
It's funny. I was at the game and with all the stress entirely missed that Diaz struck out the side in the 9th. Also I appreciate your optimism on the 4 shutout bullpen innings. It didn't feel that positive live
Game 1 of course i wanted to win but once we fell behind i was like ok, we`ll get our split tomorrow. I was hyped today and we won the game. Now its back to cold New York where im hoping that works against the dodgers and we put them away and never go back to LA in this series.
I know Iglesias had that bobble, but he has been auper consistent, providing solid defense and at bats. I'll give him the benefit of doubt. Now, I just cant with Alvarez, he can't control himself on those at bats. It's a shame our replacement on catcher seems to be less reliable on offense. Edit: And it's SO true, it's a free steal against Diaz, but I'm happy if he can still avoid putting the ball in play.
As frustrating as the offense was when you score 7 runs you should be able to win the game. Yes it was frustrating we only scored 1 after the grand slam but the offense did their job at the end of the day.

All going according to the Corgi lol
Alvarez's refusal to adjust his swing -- when all they need is a sacrifice fly -- is infuriating.
So true, all or nothing swing, hey JD, talk to this young man

@mrknucklehead2344 I agree. I also have no problem with big cuts with no one on base etc. I just wonder if his mechanics can be improved.

Diaz pitched amazing today
That Vientos AB was possibky the best AB I’ve ever seen

The Mets are just a good baseball team

Nice. I’ll be at Thursdays game. LGM
Great content, enjoyed this more than the other Mets podcasts 🍻
Time for Iglesias to get a day off! He single handedly made this game difficult! They get that double play game over! Time for a day off!
Hit them hard and early, and then just hung on. Great game, LGM !
Loved seeing Lindor start the game that way! And Vientos comes up BIG. LGM

Seems like we always have a pitcher on the staff that just says "oh I have a runner on? Whatever, let them steal". Thor was like that too

Marky Winds 2-out Grand Salami !!!
Let’s go boys!!
**Vientos bobbles ball for third time**
Me: Okay. Next season, Muricio can keep Third. Vientos Outfied.
Probably not a bad idea
Alvarez needs to sit a game or two. He is completely lost at the plate.
Doubt, we will see the Dodgers fans who said it would be a sweep now...
LFGM!
LFGM!!!!!!
Whats the flag on the wall with the baseball and cricket stumps supposed to mean? Lfgm
