This video reminded me of lyrics from a song called "Strong swimmer" by Mutual Benefit. These words can be a gentle mantra to add to this exercise: "The river only knows to carry on. The river only knows to carry on". So imagine that you are a river who only knows to carry on as you repeat these words in your mind in times of worry. :)
The thing that helped me is when i get these intrusive thoughts they induce this anxious state with physical and mental symptoms and now when i feel like that i know it’s the brain malfunction, and the physical symptoms confirm that it really is so the symptoms subside because i am aware of it. I don’t know if that made sense but it helped me
