    The only thing about women clothing is it’s so tricky because of their various sizes. That’s why more brands shy away from women clothing and stick with unisex.

      When it comes to women sizes, yes it can get tricky, but you can still stick with xs-xl range. Thats how we do it. Trust, I've been doing this a long time and I still don't understand how their size ranges work. lol thats why I stick with xs-xl runs.

      I just wish unisex clothes were catered at least a little bit more for women. Personally, I find drop-shoulder sleeves and a boxy fit/loose waist generally work better for women. I would love to see more of those styles available as a unisex option.

      @@SL-W See its comments like yours that more designers need to hear, so they can make those corrections instead of just assuming and guessing what women want in their streerwear.

    Honestly I think that the women’s streetwear brands aren’t really doing that well is because of FashionNova and SHEIN , and PrettyLittleThang. They focus on women’s clothing and it’s really cheap. Those brands have over saturated the market all women influencer’s and celebrities are wearing fashionnova and SHIEN.

    • @planetbrooklynacademy
      @planetbrooklynacademy  5 месяцев назад +1

      That is an excellent point! I agree with you. The over saturation is dimming the light on women streetwear. But the question is if this is so why is women's high end fashion still thriving in the face of fast fashion?

      This woman wouldn't be caught dead in SHEIN. Literally, cause my ghost would have to wear it for eternity

      @@planetbrooklynacademy I think that women’s high fashion is going well is because even though fashionnova and SHEIN are cheap, they still want to have the look and feel of high end. So they will spend the high end just to show they have it, but they will get the cheap until they can actually afford the high. If that makes sense.

    At the 4:30 mark when you mentioned those Brands yes its true there were representation for men and women but the internet has killed those brands when now Shein , Fashion Nova & Amazon which provides a much cheaper price and you're not locked into a overpriced Brand!

    Rob you are on point as usual. This video was what I needed to hear. All your vids are so very helpful, extremely encouraging and educational. I’m glad someone who with your status and experience stated how they are disappointed with the women’s street wear market. I am working on my line and it’s geared towards the women’s market. All the advice and knowledge that you share and have given in your videos I am using. Is there a personal link that I can contact you so I can get your expertise on my name for my women’s line ? I have ask women about it and the comments have all positive thus far. And you will reach your goal. Me personally your channel is by far the best when it comes to helping startups.

      Fam. Your message and kind words really means the world. What you and other say is what motivates me to continue to make content. As I said in one of my earlier videos, when I started in fashion I had no one to guide me. It was all trial and error. There's no reason why others should have to struggle like I did.
      You can message me on our IG. But I can only make a brief comment in regards to you name. Anything more it runs into the consultation realm. Once we hit that 100k I can then talk to you about whatever it is you need. 😊

    Women street wear have long been over looked because the dudes creating alot of these new don't have alot of fine women around them to use as inspiration . Like Pac told Big years ago if you make joints for the ladies the brothers gonna come cause they trying to get with the ladies not the other way around .

    With a name like Married to the mob is the reason it's not up there with the others....dumb name for a fashion company and too controversial

    • @planetbrooklynacademy
      @planetbrooklynacademy  5 месяцев назад +1

      I agree its not the best name for a brand. But I find it problematic for other reasons. Graphically is a nightmare to work with. Its unbalanced, to many letters in "married" and then the limited amount of letters in the remaining words. It just doesn't work.

      @@planetbrooklynacademy yes very true…your logo is a very important part of branding it has to be recognized within a second…too many letter or words just never works…gotta keep it simple!!
