Hello! This is the 4th installment of my level spotlight series, where I take a look at 5 levels that I have something significant to say about. I tried to make this one a bit shorter than the 30-minute length that the previous episode ended up being, so hopefully that makes it a bit more manageable to watch. I put a lot of love into this one, and I tried to pick some diverse levels, so I hope you all enjoy it!

In morse, the code that flashes in the level has nothing to do with anything. The coin is absolutely insane though. Spoiler for the coin ahead:
At certain points in the level, when you die, a qr code pops up. There are 5 total. They all lead to different imgur links, which show written letters. The letters are all signed by different strings of morse. When you put all the morse from the letters together, you get the code. At the end of the level, you input the code to get the coin. I spent 2 hours finding this coin. The effort put into this makes the level that much better.

In silico is really a masterpiece. The gameplay is on point, the theming is so good and they design fits perfectly and is really good.
I love zylenox levels, I just wish he'd make one, just one non-edgy level with a newgrounds song so he coukd get some darn cp
Necrocide is a really underrated , i personaly love it and it shuld be recognised more!

In Silico may be an amazing level with a story, backstory, and everything great, I still just can’t bring myself to like it.
Why?
@Alkimae the gameplay just isn’t fun to me and I just don’t find the visuals that appealing. Yes I know this is a very unpopular opinion and I have played it and could beat it if I wanted to, but it’s just not my favorite level.

You should talk about macabre, in my opinion is one of the best Extremes in the top 50, the design, the use of glow, the Sync,
and the colors are gorgeous, too bad that the gameplay is unbalanced: the ships and waves are a pain to get trought especially on 60hz.

I’m honestly surprised that Necrocide isn’t rated. It really isn’t too edgy to the point that it shouldn’t be rated, and it looks great too.
I mean it IS too edgy but it is still awsome

In Silico is by far Rafers best level, better than Slam and Sky tower. There is something about it that makes it so good

I was honestly hoping the see requiem (by lithofusion but zylenox owns it) its the sequel to killbot and the truth behind the level is so damn depressing. Its design is amazing, the erratic atmosphere is a sight to behold IMO.

I have a level to recommend, and oh boy I’m gonna slightly rant.
Note: I may be wrong about things so you can call me out on this, but these are my opinions, you can think otherwise but please don’t get mad at anything I say.
Now what’s the level?
Serpents. Wrath.
Serpents Wrath by LmAnubis (epic creator btw) is a easy to hard demon sequel to Serpents Shrine, another level he built. The theming around the level is what I think the snakes lair and how you have to get out after stealing its treasure.
Some people say the level is empty, but I don’t really see where they’re coming from. The level is lively and energetic from my view, being unique in a lot of ways.
But what really makes this level special is its coin routes, and bossfights. For now, I’m gonna talk about the coins.
Each of them a different difficulty, with some different gameplay. All the coins in the level make them the hardest coins in the game.
note: each coin route is harder than the main level and are all activated before 5% in the level, all of the coins you have to rebeat the level for.
Puzzle Master is the easiest coin route, being an easy hard demon difficulty. After triggering it, you must solve puzzles along the level, collecting puzzle pieces when you solve them correctly.
Treasure Hunter, the second mid difficulty in the coins is an insane demon difficulty. Once triggered, you take (mostly) a different route throughout the level, and at the boss fight there are no indicators, which is even harder due to a fact I will state later.
And lastly, Anubis’s hardest beaten, the last coin. Beast Slayer buffs everything.The boss, everything. Buffed to an extreme demon difficulty, Beast Slayer is (as far as I know) the hardest coin in game.
Now, the boss fights. These are quite unique, and for a good reason too.
The boss, as it’s quite obvious, is a snake. But the thing about this is that the bosses all have randomized gameplay, making things like getting Treasure Hunter’s coin, so much harder. After you pass the bridge (around 53-55%) you get thrown right into a ship section, initiating the fight. Every time you get there, attacks are randomized.
A bit longer and you make it into a spider maze, indicators showing which of 5 spots you need to be in.
And then you get into the last part of the fight, which can also be one of two snakes, leading you into a wave section. Dodging the attacks will lead to your victory.
This level is so unique, with all of this level, there are 8 different ways to beat this level. The boss, the randomized bosses, the difficulty changes and coin routes, this level is a handful and you can clearly see Anubis put so much work into this. The song works so well with the level, making me love this level even more.
Anubis is showing how you can achieve some hard things in the editor, as in s video he made he counted over 16,000 triggers in the level. I watched him build the later half of the level, and the whole verifications (and then I miss beast slayer 👁👄👁) and he’s yet again showing his creating skills.
Beast slayer in general, took Anubis over 130k attempts, beating Knobbelboy’s Bloodlust attempt count and nearing Npestas Kenos attempt count. Anubis is proving he can be an amazing player, even if he isn’t the best.

Yeah that's really cool too but I'm more of a trash metal fan. I recently discovered the album Wall of Sound by Marty Friedman and it was a very refreshing experience for me. I think you might like it too :)
