I own a 2020 supra, the car is seriously fast. For road driving I won’t be tuning it. It’s got all the power I need straight out the box… great video 😊
It's crazy how much more power it has than quoted! Scary that you can then plug in a laptop and get another 60+hp out of it and an easy 100+hp with an intake, cats and remap.

Yep, I was lucky enough to get one of the first 500 or so, and it had completely open ECU and it was easy and relatively cheap to take stage 3 and the limiting factor on this car is now tires, as it runs low 11's and 3.4 0-60 without slicks. I bet if I prepped and slick tires it would break into 10 second car territory without further mods.
Its fast stock. But just after 1 month I did a stage 1 tune and removed the OPF with a new catback system. Now its at around 440hp. Its a totally different monster :D And also - the sound is now what it should be.
2021+ 382hp to the crank, there’s also a slightly different compression setup. 21-23 Supra will be insane once they can bring a standalone ECU or if they can crack the OEM one but as a BMW I would rather do standalone.
@@ZER0Y0N Do you know how the American version gets more power? I'm assuming the car is otherwise exactly the same in both USA and EU, and that Toyota has simply tuned the car a bit differently for the American Market.

Looking at other videos out there, I’ve seen these newer Supra models record ~380whp, so estimating well over 400hp at the crank? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.
Hi there, They DID get a power bump - this is only on the US models unfortunately ! due to the emissions regulations in the EU the power remains at 335 bhp claimed however as you can see there is more in the tank
that puts the 2020 at 414 HP and 470 Torque, the 2021 at 463 HP 488 Torque. Wow on both! Their is video showing the 2020 actually is a bit quicker off the line and stay the same for a bit, then the 2021 will pull on it. Their is also a tuner video, who tuned both the 2020 and 2021 with equal mods stage one and they made nearly the same Horse power, but the 2020 pre June 2020 ECM can be tuned right away, but the 2021 plus models need to have the ECMs shipped out abroad and cloned, retuned before the modifications can be done. So if you are planning to tune it, 2020 pre June ECM is the easier way to go, unless you willing to wait and pay for the ECM to be retuned. Those are underrated. They make around 15% more hp than the manufacturer claims. The 2020 actually makes closer to 390 bhp and the 21+ makes closed to 450 bhp. Never trust online ratings because the track will prove it wrong every time. For example, the 2018+ mustang claims over 460 bhp but they dyno 385-400 rwhp. The supra claims 386 hp but they dyno 370-390 whp which means, you CANT trust manufacturer claims. That's why the new supra beats the stock 2018+ mustang. Dynos and track is where the real numbers are, but even dynos aren't fully accurate, but still better than manufacturer claims.
@@TronB58 the 2020 supra as its stated from the manufacturer got 335bhp i saw couple of dyno runs and it made around 330 to 340bhp bone stock , the 2021+ as manufacturer stated 383bhp i think and i saw dyno runs made exactly like that or slightly more , but im pissed because of the youtuber who says that toyota states that the supra only makes 335bhp which they said about the 2020 only not the 2021+ and he shows the 2021+ on the dyno and says whoa!! i mean thats wrong ! if it was someone else who doesn't know they might get the 2020 and be thinking ok now i got a s bone stock supra making 383bhp ! you know what im saying?
Maybe just maybe before you attempt to be clever and criticise you need to watch the full video where I clearly state this is the EU version and the US for the power increase from 21+ we didn't due to emissions so no, there is nothing incorrect on my video thanks.

Absolutely! Gone are the days of engine rebuild and costly ECUs ! As you say a remap and an exhaust you get huge power gains!

Just picked up a 2020. In stock form it’s got way more than enough power as a daily. I can’t image another 100whp in the car. It would be insane.
