    A John deere tech manual is a must for working on them

    thank you for this video. turns out my issue was the clutch pedal swivel was dry. took it apart and buffed it then greased it. My problem solved.

    You need to replace both springs in that clutch valve you were plugging into. Gotta pull the valve body off.

      I believe you are correct, spring tension seems to be suspect here. It's a matter I'm hoping to make a video on after harvest season. Thanks for pointing that out to me and thanks for watching.

      Valve body does not have to come off.

      Even if the springs are good and intact they should be replaced? My 4430 quad has same issue.

    My 4240 is the same. I always assumed that was how they are.
    Mine is only a draw bar tractor so the clutch is hardly ever used.
    I might get it checked out.

      Its one of those things, if it don't bother a guy I don't think it really hurts anything it's just annoying when you're hooking on to an implement, or doing something like unloading a barrel of oil off of a truck with pallet forks. Thanks for watching!

    Hello my man i have a 4440 power shift. What it does is if i put in gear and rev it doesn't move sometimes it move but no pulling power on those gears

    • @mayberickcanfixit7468
      @mayberickcanfixit7468  Месяц назад

      Does it happen in all the gears or just some of them? Because if it's just a few of them the clutch pack could be going bad in that range. If it's all the gears It could just be A worn out shift linkage or a stuck dump valve or something. I would start by putting a gage on the hydraulics just to make sure all that is working first, The transmission runs off of the primary pump in the trans so if that failed you wouldn't have and any movement either.

      @@mayberickcanfixit7468 yes all the gears are doing so even revs gears.(let me sey slipping clutch) that's what it's doing all the gears

      @@zinhlechonco3132 The clutch pedal on a powershift transmission is operating a hydraulic valve, when you push the pedal in it stops oil pressure going to the clutch packs in the transmission. It could be something as simple as the pedal is not disengaged all the way. Or maybe the valve it self is bad, or the oil is bypassing some place in the trans.

    Have you installed new springs in the clutch and pto valve body?

    • @mayberickcanfixit7468
      @mayberickcanfixit7468  11 месяцев назад

      No, Not yet. It's on my list of things to do, But I have a really big list. When I finally get to it I'm sure to make a video on the matter.

    Did you figure out the problem? I have a 4030 with the same problem. Clutch seems to just grab, its either engaged or disengaged.

    • @mayberickcanfixit7468
      @mayberickcanfixit7468  2 года назад +1

      I think its in the valve body, maybe a worn or broken spring or something. I'm hoping to find time to make more content in the future, that being one of the topics. Thanks for watching!

      I can't find a answer for that modal on line. But if you call your local dealer they can look it up and tell you what it is, for free.

    That back big cap is not where your shims are. The shims for adjusting your pressure are in the front shorter cap
