That being said it looks as though the quality of the legendary and Epic skin are returning to their previous form that was saw back in Season 7 and have taken a turn for the worse.

Literally. We already have next to no uses for the legend tokens as well. What happened to the idea of of Legend token shop for epic/legendary skins or something. I’m tired of seeing 1M+ tokens just to use 12k every 2-3 seasons with a new legend

Remember that someone at the top of Respawn once called anyone who didn't want to buy collection events freeloaders that we didn't deserve to play the game because of it. Here is that mentality and greed taking action and destroying the game even further.

i play apex pretty sporadically now, and Im disappointed in the direction its going right now. Its sad I want the game to damn near die to convince devs to put time into literally any meaningful changes that make the game fun for me again.

You know, EA/Respawn, you could have just, idk, UPDATE THE CURRENT BATTLE PASS TO GIVE THE REVAMPED STUFF. I really don't want to stop playing because I enjoy the gameplay a whole lot. But I'm genuinely going to have to make a decision once this stuff drops... Won't be doing the battlepass anymore because I used AC too. But with each "update" of the game, it's legitimately getting worse.
Looks like getting a battle pass every season has now ended. They are literally pushing people to move on.

Pay if you like the game or leave. Even WoW basement dwellers have 12$ per month for a game they enjoy...

There are two reasons they decided to make a split for the battle passes.
1. They are hoping to drive player engagement especially because there are people like me who finish the pass and don’t play for the rest of the season.
2. It’s greed….. that’s all there is to it. It justifies raising the price of the battle pass which they likely wanted to do to begin with but now there is two a season which means you have to pay more. It’s just greed

When Respawn said that the Final Fantasy event did well, so we’ll continue that system, should have been our signal to walk. The idea that people weren’t buying it for a love of the crossover or Final Fantasy never dawned them, it was the sign that we were dealing with a narcissistic tone deaf company.
I don’t understand why people won’t just stop BUYING it. Once they see it’s not as lucrative they’ll revert. Things like this only will keep happening if we keep feeding into it. The game isn’t dead . Cosmetics isn’t the end all be all.

If I had known they were doing away with AC to get the next one I wouldn’t have bought this seasons pass. Just came back to the game this season from about two years off.
I think that we as a community should get everyone who has ever played to jump on start of season 22 and play the whole season and not a single person purchase the battle pass. It would be the biggest slap in the face to them that we are all willing to play the game but because they got greedy not a single person is willing to purchase their stupid pass.

This is absolutely ridiculous. There’s so much other issues they need to work on and they care more about taking more money from us. Watched another video last night about how they’re not paying their players on time either . there’s another video of his Watson where you can’t even get into a game because someone’s hacking him. So many other issues need to be worked on this game is totally on a downfall and it saddens me because I love this game.
bro this is a free live service game at the end of the day. i don’t expect anymore, nowadays i only play games that you have to buy the game in order to play - let me tell you the experience is significantly more enjoyable

@@BrodyReyno the game still runs on 20 tick servers in the year 2024, that networking model is from 2009 brother. Literally cod from 15 years ago was on the same servers. EA doesn’t care to improve their products or customer experience. They think only offering players shitty p2w cosmetics is enough to keep people invested. Like where is the content? It’s just recycled trash and EA will never change anything until they lose the majority of the fanbase to another game
@BrodyReyno This...Free to Play is a service. Pay to Own is a product. If you don't invest in the service and ask people to keep paying, they won't. EA/Respawn have done nothing to fix the issues with the game, they just pump out useless cosmetic crap at ridiculous prices.

Focusing so much on cosmetics is the last thing they should be worrying about right now, let alone charging double for it. The Apex store at this point is completely over saturated. Especially when they turned the store from like 14 weekly items to 100. That always signals the end of a game, happened to Fortnite during Fall 2019, happened to Warzone December 2020, happening to Apex May 2024. Nothing in the game feels special or exclusive anymore. It's just an oversaturated waste, I will say that I don't dislike everything they add cosmetically for the most part. But when they started making every item in every event look the same in like season 18 or whatever(10 legendary identical looking legendary/weapon skis and 10 useless items like an ugly sticker/holospray. That's not a collection event I'm putting any money towards. I bought a lot of collection events, but they were way way way cooler years ago when they had 10 unique legends and weapons along with emotes and skydive emotes too. I would say that it's also sweats and competitive players that ruin the game too, they take all the fun out. If ranked is all people care about, being the best and not having fun with friends then just, its over. Lose all your casual players and adult gamers with money.

No matter what they add it is not ok to pay 20 dollars per season. First we get reactive recolors for 160 dollars , they removed it and added it back in full force, generic heirlooms for 300 dollars, removing thematic events and replacing them with gambling events , adding new shards for recolors making your apex coins and legend tokens even more useless, increasing the price of apex coins in store , increasing the price of skins in store ( 2500 to 2950) and telling you it's a discount. Wake the f up all my friends left the game I am also quitting

Gg, Legends. It was fun while it lasted, but the terrible decisions and money focused ideias make such a good and interesting game go totally downfall.
Respawn could get money with Apex for several years in the future if there was a decent management, monetisation regulations and some game modes releases while selling skins, cool banners, or even selecting screen animations.
But no, they prefer a predatory initiative with 99% focus on marketing and 1% in QoL changes and normal functioning servers.
That's it. I have been playing apex 1-2 times per week for the last 3-4 months (i used to play this game almost everyday for 3-4h/day). I m having fun playing other games now. These news give me zero reason to actually come back to play apex regularly.

2 things NEED to happen. Respawn needs to rebuild Apex on the Unreal Engine 5 and stop using the outdated source engine. Also, give us dedicated servers to play on.
Rebuilding will take years. EA has better projects to work on.

Cheaters have been so bad in almost every multiplayer game I've played recently, along with the companies just focusing on skins and other monetization. It's made me go back to single player games or games that I can just play with my friends.

As a person who was anxiously waiting for, and just got Lifeline's prestige skin (I also have 6 other heirlooms), this is enough to make me stop playing the game. Their warped logic makes no sense like you said, and there were times I wasn't able to get the battle pass done early because of work, and was able to challenge grind at the end to finish it. This new split system eliminates that possibility for me. i guess Apex Legends isn't for us working folk, even though we're the one's flippin' the bill...
Leave it up to EA to fucking gouge for money.
as said if all the issues of apex (hacking\cheating, bugs, SBMM, servers connectivity) going to be solved after this new BP system I think then and only then we as a community may think that the price will be justified.

With all the discussions of this I'm curious now also how the stars are going to work. You know, the Stars we accumulate to gain levels in the battle pass. Apex hasn't mentioned that they will stay the same or change. I wonder if they'll make the Stars more difficult to obtain which they did do a few seasons ago but then changed back due to backlash. It would be crazy with this BP price change and making it more difficult to level up the BP.
I am HOPING that when they say "two sixty level battlepasses," they mean that EACH 60 level battlepasses will essentially be the highlight rewards of one old battlepass: 2 legendary legend skins, 1 Reactive skin, 1200 crafting materials etc... if they mean that the combination of BOTH 60 level battlepasses will add up to the equivalent of ONE old battlepass, I'm never buying it again
I find it hilarious that they're trying make splitting the season pass into 2 a good thing, as if it makes it easier to obtain the rewards. The reality is that you now have less time and challenges to complete the passes, actually forcing you to play more regularly to grind it out. And you know it's done to boost engagement, to make it look like Apex is a lot healthier than it really is.

If they use the money for actual fixes and lower the apex coin price for shop items, It’d make a bit of sense. But we all know that’s not the case.

When people say hopefully respawn are going to fix ANYTHING i just shake my head. After 20 seasons of NOT fixing basic quality of life bugs in the game you are still hoping. Apex could of been the best battle royale ever made but it has fallen short we should just accept it.
I love Apex, I love its story, it's characters, its game mechanics... but after everything they put us through, I can never go back. Its just too ridiculous what they've pulled.

I'm pretty sure this it was posted now on purpose, because people will forget about it in two weeks which just happens to be when the new season is released... This is a strategic move by EA and their execs for damage control.
It's so interesting bc apex's battle pass (after the failure of season 1) has been by far the MOST consumer friendly battlepass of all since not only did it offer itself with the in game currency we had but also awarded us with enough currency to buy a new battle pass + 300 extra coins. To make a total flip is such an odd choice and I think they can make a turnaround in less than 30 days with enough backlash bc what the fuck

the greatest thing about the BP was that you only had to buy it once and then its free as long as you always complete the BP since you will go then coins back and then some. Im not buying this if I need to spend actual cash every time. the stuff in the BP are just not worth it.
