Fun Fact - Spike Lee directed the Headlights video, and it was his 1st music video since Michael Jackson.
I didn't know that wth that's so cool
Wow! That's news to me.
Really? Wow that's dope
Ohh i didn't know that. He should have done the song with the video.. It just hits so much more with the video..
Nice info dude ❤️
This is one of Eminem's most emotional songs ever. It's one of my favourites because he was mature enough to be able to say this to his mom after all the shit he and his mom went through without the presence of his dad. We all know Eminem blamed her for not being a good mom and being a drug addict, but at the end of the day, he finally realized that she's still his mom and that it was tough for her to raise him without his father, doing the best she could. It's just sad that it'll be a while before he can see his mom again.
Why can't he see his mom
@@XxGlaciersOfIcexX It's just that he's so busy working and all of that, so it might take a while before he could see his mom, if he has the opportunity to.
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan busy with what? He treats music like a job. It’s not like he’s up in the stu all hours of the day. He’s in there by 6 and out by 3. Takes a 30 minute break and all that. He barely does interviews. I’m sure he has time
@@XxGlaciersOfIcexX considering what have been happen between both of them in the past (suing, defamation etc) ... its probably hella hard to meet up again
its best for them to go separate ways living their own life and move on
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan Em's well known for treating rap like a 9-5 job and barely touring so he could be home raising his children. I think Em's had plenty of time to see her (it's been over a decade), but some things are just too broken to fix.
It's always stood out to me how many long time loyal friends Marshall has, because it proves how great he is at relationships. That said, he could only forgive betrayal so many times before any ability to trust was shattered, and he doesn't allow anyone in his circle he can't trust because that's everything to him.
I sent this song to my mom a month ago because I couldn't put my feelings into words for her without getting heated. My mom has been a heroin addict for the last 12 years. I'm sorry mom I always love you from afar...
💕💕💕
☮️☯️🕉
I'm so sorry 😞 to hear that makes me wanna cry 😢because I didn't have a good relationship with my parents when I was younger especially after going through foster care it was tough but I will always love my parents no matter what.
@@eddiesboatdetailz6970 Always remember you are what you think about, keep your thoughts positive my friend.
Being a heroin addict for 6 years i can tell you that your mom needs you the most. Dont give up on her. It feels horrible when someone you love gives up on you. It makes you wanna sink down further.
Fun fact: Em wrote this song on a plane, hence those ending lines in the last verse and hook
Thanks captain obvious
thanks for that
I has a lot of sleepless nights asking myself where he wrote it❤👍
😂😂😂😂
Damn man I’ve been having nightmares about this looking through everywhere and you just gave me the answer. Now I can die
@@ICantFindMyKnuttsFTLC4L lol
With Headlights, Eminem shocked me more than I thought was possible anymore. He's said so much crazy violent stuff about so many people and I don't bat an eye. But when he said "I love you, Debbie Mathers", my jaw dropped. I tear up at this song every time, it's so genuine
The point is....the older you get, the more you understand the choices your parents made. Good or bad.
I haven’t cried in years!! This song/reaction put me in such a deep feeling about my mother. I had the same relationship with her unfortunately. She died in 1999 at the age of 44 from drugs. Thank you brother for reacting. It’s healing.
If Stevie watched the video he might have just cried😂
shit still makes me tear up to this day
@@DatBoiCheetos It does. 🥺😢
but the video don't have the entire song though
Now react to Bad Husband next where he sorta apologises to KIm another one of the two of the people he dissed the most.
Yes.. I feel doing Kim first and then bad husband would be best idea.. Bad husband had me crying... Like damn along with arose...

So glad Stevie has finally done this song a story telling masterpiece! MMLP2 is such an underrated album!
Best album ever
I put MMLP2 up there with the first one. So under-appreciated.
This King deserved a lot more subscribers but I know he's on his way! Mad love from Amsterdam Stevie!!!
Nee joh beter Rotterdam😂🟤⚪🟤

The Music Video does this song way more justice than the Lyric Video
Eminem efforts are the lyrics.
@@no1takethisname yeah but the ending to this song hits different with the video
This song is so much better with the official music video bro! I thought you were gonna react to that
Yh the video cuts out Nate’s final verse, which is my fav part of the song
@@zainkhalil7494 yeah exactly thank you!
I have never related more to a song in my life until this one. R.i.p to my mom that I lost to addiction in nov 2015.
I feel ya
It maybe lame, but some years back I wrote a Mother's day card and stole the line thanking her for being both my Mom and my Dad. After she recited that line to a third person I came clean on it's origin . Didn't matter, she still loved the sentiment.
EM is so good with the love/hate thing. He can kick your ass while saying he loves you. When he does songs like this one, I'm between confusion and understanding.
This is actually my favorite eminem song
Super real and genuine, very underrated, deserves more views, thanks for listening to it 🤙
me too
Makes me cry Everytime. Eminem can make you feel everything. Best artist ever.
"I hope you get this message that I will always love you from afar, cause you're my mom." This hits me everytime I hear this line 😪
Need to react to "My Mom" next. Will help you understand more about Ems mom. Hard ass beat too.
2:32
This is probably the most important/emotional song that Eminem has ever made. Like my mom isn’t in my life but to see that he has that connection with her makes me feel like I have a connection to mine. In the end Eminem is still the greatest rapper alive and I’ll die knowing that. 🥺
Edit: I obviously knew my mother but she was a druggie and drunk almost all the time. Abusive household and very broken. I understood almost every lyric because I was in the same shoes he was in. But as Nate said “I guess we are who we are.” I will still love my mom though..
Best wishes
@@allenhicks8847 thank you so much! 🦋
@@jaydove7478 No need to thank me. My mom abandoned me at three. My dad was in prison, my sister was pregnant, one of my brothers was in juvenile detention and the other was a pedophile. I get it. I relate to you just like Eminem, and I'm sure he'd relate to our stories as well. It's all trauma. I suffered for many years but am now on meds and in counseling, doing better than I ever have. I hope you're doing well, too. Stay strong and live life as you please. ✌
@@allenhicks8847 I am okay.. life isn’t bad but it could be better. I’m only 17 going on 18 in September. Right now life is stressful and it’s breaking me down. I’m trying to keep my head up and push myself to my breaking point but also be cautious of actually hurting myself by continuously trying and trying. Thank you for responding to me, understanding my story, and relating to my life with yours. I understand your pain. I hope everything is good for you too.
@@jaydove7478 You'll be fine. Just never quit fighting, and find a purpose in life, something that makes you feel whole and therefore a reason TO keep fighting. For me it was writing songs and short stories but everyone is quite different. Find whatever it is that stirs your soul and chase that thing relentlessly. If you ever need to talk you can hit me up on here. Or Facebook. My names the same and I'm from Lynchburg Virginia.
English is not my first language. And I'm not good at it too. But when I heard this song for the first time, I cried.
Em delivery is on whole another level.
Man this song always hits my emotions , Eminem is a real artist , so articulate and emotional , he just paints a picture
If this song doesn't bring a tear to your eyes you're not human. Very impactive song for some that has had some family turmoil in there lives.
Can't listen to this song without feeling something super heavy and I got a loving mom I could only imagine how this touches others. Em and co. did their thang with this one.
He adopted 3 kids that weren't his and raised them and his daughter Haley by himself Em is a good guy 🐐☘️👍
Its crazy cleanin out my closet was one of the first Em tracks i ever heard when i was younger. At the time I didn’t really know the meaning of the song, i was a youngin. But thats basically the song that put me on Em. Definitely one of the first. Thats wild
Same here
I remember first hearing this and being an Eminem fan my whole life finding it really hard to listen to emotionally but it's so good, I always hoped they finally talked after this but there's no way of knowing
Difficult - Eminem
Another emotional one, it’s like a tribute/goodbye for Proof, tbh that song alone shuts down the narrative that Em has no substance and rhymes just to rhyme.
The line where he swallows his words and changes the line mid bar makes me choke up and tear it every time
I had my own problems with my moms growing up so I connected with cleanin out my closet when I was younger then over time things changed i grew out of my hate and anger and forgave her for alot of things and our relationship got better and when this song came out my boy showed it to me day it dropped and wont lie shed a tear after hearing it it hit home
Em and his mom have made up. She was diagnosed with cancer in the early 2010s, and he was by her side and helped in whatever way he could. I think it took Em growing up truly to realize she is special to him and he regrets a lot of what he said.
I don't think he regrets what he said. I think he regrets not being able to regret what he said. Its like a war inside where he wishes he could feel that way but the reality of his childhood wont let him.
John Miller If he didn’t regret what he said then he would still play it at shows.
@@MalfoyxLyricsx He can wish to no longer cause her pain without having regretted to original release. If someone wrongs you and you wrong them back you can feel bad for what you have done while understanding it was necessary and not regretting it.
Honestly, really listening to the lyrics and playing the imagery in my head, hard to not get emotional. This song is SO deep.
Him sort of half apologising to him Mum after all that time was a huge twist in the Eminem narrative in 2013.
Also, I don't share any of the experiences he talks about on this track, but I always get a lump in my throat by the end of the third verse. Superb writing.
This song always tears me up. Everytime I hear it.
It really feels like we grew up after this song. Its a lifetime. I was a young teen when Cleaning out my closet was dropped and now as a full grown adult when this came out it feels like a full circle. We change the older we get and see things n a way we didnt see them before.
You missed the bar “Forster care” force to care double meaning
I was so cold before I became a father. Now I feel every line of this song in every part of my soul.
The flow when he starts “ I was the man of the house” gets me every time, so catchy
hell yeah bro thanks for doing the audio version with lyrics that's the best way to experience this song
Lightning in a bottle is heart felt as well
I see Stevie holding back them tears... I know those moves, the nose move the mouth move. The subtle eye itch at the end
Man this comment section is filled with the good kinda stans! Who understand his development and don't talk shit about him becoming corny or whatever tf. Love it!
God damn you gotta bring back stuff that always puts me in some kind of mood man. Just had to sit back and let the tears flow. Sittin here in my car before I go into work and clean myself up before I go in thinking I'm a little bitch thinking about my mom haha.
this shit is deep. definitely a different track from eminem. he’s so versatile
Every time I listen to this song someone decides to start cutting onions!! Fuck man lmao
NF that's a joke next 🔥💯
Much love Stevie Knight. You definitely know when it's time to just let it play through
This song has always made me cry every time I hear it. I’ve sent this to my mom so she knows how I feel.
This song right here means alot to people in 1 way or another my mum chose drink over had to bury her when i was 11 never really healed until i heard this song hit me bad. So now i get it eminem is a legend love it or hate it
For me this song is huge.
You must watch the official music video.
This song is amazing and it makes us, and I've seen many reactors going see or call their mom's after listening to this song.
Amazing for real.
Eminem is freaking special.
Portugal here for the Goat Eminem always since day one and forever but also for other legendary OG'S and good stuff.
Finally I’ve been waiting this for forever now it’s time for bad husband lets get it
I love this song soooo much ❤💯
There is a word play, maybe it's just me. But when "When you pour yourself another drink", sounds like, "poison yourself another drink." And honestly either or, hits home.
Most underrated part
“Well my children will carry me”
When you pass, it’s ur kids that carry the casket ur in.
This song honesty made me cry when i first heard it. Bc iv been a em fan since the beginning and I relate so much bc of my relationship with my own mother. And to see him grow and put things in the past an apologize like this. Just wow
Nasty C said he could spank Eminem on a battle, I'd love to see Stevie react to that😂😂
Then he took it back lol
That boy going Kanye crazy!
may be he was high wehn he said it.....cux even mgk will kill his ass
that nigga is trippin.....mgk will fire his ass straight...
Unnecessary publicity
I appreciate the work you put in Stevie ty🐐👍
Man this song has me crying every time I hear it. I hope Em and his mom finally made up Life's to short to hold grudges.
I know this video is 2 years old, and it's a great reaction, but damn him nodding off beat was getting to me. 😭😭😭😂😂😂
Bro now you have to do "Bad husband" and "Going through changes"!!!!
If you havent reacted to it already do Eminem- Beautiful. React to the lyrics since the video isnt explicit

If momma songs are on the to do list then you gotta do Tupac "dear momma". Beautiful track
One of the greatest tracks of all time.
This is a great song. After em beat his addiction he realized what his mom went thru. People cant understand unless they been thru it.
This whole album is fire and I feel like it gets slept on. Which I guess I get because it’s not as good as the first, but still, man. Such a good album
Exactly.. Like " baby" has crazy rhymes!
Yes this song will definitely give you Insight on what Eminem been through in this is another song that I wish people would have listened to so they would know Eminem has mattered. He said it he loves his mom oh, but he can't be in a situation that might make him relapse cuz his mother has alcohol issues but he does love her and I'm sure I know because at the end of the video they're hugging that he has forgiven her cuz it is hard, being a single parent. I know
React to Going through Changes

The disrespect
I've stopped listening to Eminem in recent years like I used to know every song up to 2015 but even though I'm not a huge fan anymore you know ya boi is watching Stevies videos on him because its always fun seeing new ears breakdown his bars
Oh my goodness. This is the first time I've ever heard this song and talk about shredding your heart. This hits home hard💔
Song makes me cry. I had a similar story. My mom died recently. Deep. Love this man and you me Knight
Bro you have so many fans LOL. A buddy of mine just sent me this link, I really thought I seen this before but he was right I haven't. You're the man brother

yo stevie i have been waiting for this for too long
Crazy I’m just seeing this now! I’ve been waiting for you to react to this for months! You the goat 🐐
I don't think his mum actually wanted him to be sick. I think she just couldn't handle being a parent so she dosed him whenever she needed him to sleep. Maybe she didn't realise quite how addictive benzo's are at the time.
No, it's literally a syndrome where people try to keep themselves and their kids sick. "Munchausen syndrome by proxy (also known as factitious disorder imposed on another) is where you act like the person you’re caring for (a child, a disabled individual, or an older person, for example) has a physical or mental illness while the person is not actually sick. This is a form of child or elder abuse."
Ye, cos that's much better? She was on welfare and got more for having a learning impaired child, I think she knew exactly what she was doing. Not saying she could control it. But I think she knew perfectly well and that's why Nathan got taken from her too. Don't think anyone will ever know for sure, but that narcissistic trait comes out as manipulation a whole lot. (that and not taking accountability, which would be more towards your point, I think?) munchausen by proxy, is a very odd condition until you look at it from a personality perspective, almost all the people with it, have the same personality traits. Merely having those traits doesn't predict MBP though, only the other way around, like most 'personality disorders'.
@@renagenic I don't know a whole lot about his mum, or Munchausen by proxy. But it sounds like it could be that then. A lot of people in the past used to give their baby a drop of alcohol to make it sleep. Also, in countries where opium is harvested (like Afganhistan) a lot of poor people blow heroin smoke in their babies face to make it sleep. Their government actually made official signs 15 yrs ago with a cartoon warning, saying "Please don't blow heroin smoke in your baby's face"!
Bruh you sleepin on the NF mixtape! They all 🔥🔥🔥🔥....I know it's Marshall Monday but damn dog, don't keep the Knight Nation waiting and give them what they want! Story=dope...Layers=dope....Trust=dope...and on and on...NF does not miss!!
You know NF blocked one of the recent videos he did?
They didn't single him out, they did it to all of the reactors. I haven't seen anyone have issues since the new songs dropped.
This song is very powerful because it is about understanding and forgiveness of difficult childhood from Eminem and his mother and I hope they will repair their relationship with sweet rap music. We all love this song and video clips because we need to find some love and respect for family 😊❤
