• My guess is Em feels responsible about Kim because her problems are partly his fault
• First Em had Alaina's and Hailie's guardianship but later in the life Kim becae co-guardian also

About the custody situation, Eminem eventually got custody of Hailie Jade (His own daughter with Kim) but also adopted Alaina (his niece) and Whitney (Kim's daughter from another relationship which he also got custody for while Kim was undergoing treatment for drug addiction) Also in the early days he had legal custody of his younger half-brother by 14 years called Nathan. He was basically the father figure for all these kids and also the reason I have so much respect for him.

And she's stuck through it. There's a reason he adores her so much. She's LITERALLY the longest running consistent presence in his whole life.
