2 amazing details about this song:
    - Almost the whole two last verses are a dream. It starts at the beginning of the second verse with "I keep havin' this dream" and ends in the third verse with "That's when I wake up".
    - This song shows Em killing Slim Shady with Em saying "find a gun on the ground, cock it
put it to my brain, scream, "Die, Shady!" and pop it". Slim is then "dead" until he comes back in the Relapse album with the song My Darling.

@@choice12ozborne Em didn't carry Joe the way he thought. In some ways, Eminem was a hindrance to Slaughter House and Joe got fed up at some point. That's when the troubles begun.

As someone who is struggling with addiction rn, this song hits so hard especially if you have family that counts on you. Em OD’d I think not long after this song came out, he basically wrote it thinking he would die because of his addiction. He is sober now, thank goodness, but this honestly about his life and his family and his career and addiction…so many artists won’t touch this and it’s so refreshing to hear it

I’ve lived a life completely opposite of Em and yet, the intensity in which he loves his daughter is what makes me feel like I can relate. My dad loved us the same, he didn’t play any games when it came to his family and Em talking to his daughter makes me think of my dad. Hailie will be happy (maybe, everyone handles it differently) to have some of these songs she can play when he’s gone which hopefully won’t be any time soon! Wish I could hear my dad one more time.
