Since then, cons have opposed universal public education, the Louisiana Purchase, the preservation of the Union, the abolition of slavery, the right of women to vote, the creation of the national parks, child labor laws, Social Security, unemployment insurance, paid vacations and sick leave, organized labor (which gave us those things), safety standards for workers, standards for clean air, water, food and medicine, desegregation, the Voting Rights act, consumer protection legislation, environmental protections and on and on and on. These are all in the public record, as is the LACK of similar beneficial initiatives forwarded or supported by conservatives. Bottom line - what has made America great and prosperous are the contributions of liberal individuals and policies; conservatives are EXTREMELY hard-pressed to name contributions that they have made to significantly better this nation. I repeatedly invite cons to offer a comparable list - whereupon I will be happy to expand this one, two for one, indefinitely...

I can easily believe that they're relieved that it didn't turn out any worse-but, if they're decent human beings, they don't consider a robbery, a dangerous chase, the firing of more than a hundred bullets, the serious injury and likely long prison sentence of one person, and the violent death of another, to have anything to do with a happy ending.

I've been around assault riffles and shot assault riffles on an outdoor shooting range and it is incredibly loud and i can only imagine how loud it was inside of that police car with no hearing protection
