Do you ever pick up Bonnie and Clyde on the underwater scanners? That’s something I think we are all curious about
Yeah after watching them grow up I really want to know how they're doing.
Definitely would like to know how they are doing
Let tiger swim and breed in the big pond.
Tiger should go in the 5 acre with a tag. It’ll be great when we see Bonnie, Clyde, and Tiger all show up on the underwater scanners
ill be back in a week to see if he answers! he really only pays attention to ppl that financially supports the channel! Maybe he will answer you after my comment! lmfao
Regarding the invasive grass, mow the areas where you want to kill it and cover the entire mowed area with a clear plastic tarp tight against the soil with cinderblocks or stones around the edge keeping it tight against the ground. This process is called solarization and will kill everything under the tarp if left throughout the summer. Reseed the area in the fall with native vegetation. Lots of resources available online for this and no herbicides required.
Did you see the acres of grass he has if he covered all of it he could kill a whole bloodline of turtles plus it would cost a lot
@@bob6927 Considering the damage the invasive grass could do, seems like the least damaging option.
This is risky but effective, kills everything under the tarp by super heating it. I’m pretty sure you do something similar to this on farms
Crows are evil. I once saw a murder of crows kill a turkey vulture. It was brutal.
you do watch the storms he has there.. i can see most of the plastic ending up in the pond even if they are waited down.. also you have the wildlife walking about and eating everything.... and so not very environmental.
Regarding the invasive grass, Call the Native Habitat Project. They are based in Alabama and their mission is to return our land to native grasses. I believe it's run on Grants and they give free help.
That would make for some great content
I told him burn it , before it gets to seed
Tiger should go in the big pond. Let him roam free after being in the indoor tank
Agree! Set him free
I just hope he doesn’t end up like the weird homeschooled kid who doesn’t know how to be around other people
@@bgarner9194😂😂😂😭😭 what
@@bgarner9194that is funny!.. I know a homeschooled boy and his name is Ryan Dungee.. a Supercross Champion.. don't recall him having a problem being around other people.. anyway.. maybe homeschooled people only have a problem being around other people, in your mind.
@@bgarner9194 Isn't that all Bass?
2 grown men giggling about a squirrel house lol some of the greatest moments.
Most Murican thing
I was coming to say this
I Hope they have a padlock on that Roof/Hatch because those Trash Bandits are gonna open that up and go right in. I would have made the windows the entrance and egress because they are squirrel sized, the raccoons gonna put their greedy hand inside that door if not squeeze their entire head.
You should put some large branches up in the eagle's nest... maybe around the edges kind of. That flat surface makes it hard to make a nest.
I thought he was going to do it after we saw the video of them trying to make a nest, but the wind blowing thing away. I do hope he puts boards around or something to keep the wind out, that is if he really wants those eagles nesting there.
They likely wont build a nest because it's too far from other trees. Birds want cover for thier nests
Yep! Screw down some larger branches around the edges of the platform to give them a base to build on.
Yes with tiger in cedar falls! Also lol I think you should get some catfishing put in there! Lol just kidding I just kidding have a great day!
Tiger should definitely go into Cedar Falls.
Dang Moby, those frogs were having an intimate moment and you tried to eat them both.🤣
Tiger deserves spending his time in the 5-acre pond so he can have plenty of room to grow and roam, but that is your call to make. Thanks for sharing all of this with us. I am one of your long-time subs and really enjoy watching your videos.

I can't get over how much I look forward to these videos every week. This has become my favorite series on RUclips hands down. I've been watching since your you built your backyard pond at your house, and watching how much your channel and your ponds have grown over the years has been amazing to see. Super happy for all your success, doesn't seem like it could have happened to a better guy. Can't wait to see what's next, cheers!
Its def on the short list.
Another gem is called 'Rare Earth', basically a travel vlog but with the most interesting stories and cynical yet compassionate takes.
@@brockn7878 Made by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield's son no less! Agree'd. Bamabass and Rare Earth are each favourites of mine as well.
I came to comment the same thing basically. I remember when my video of my personal fish tank got featured on the channel and I was so hyped. That was years ago and I havent missed an upload since then. This channel is absolutely my favorite on youtube hands down. I have fantasized about doing exactly what this man does. One day I hope
That aerator ought to help the trout
yup
A nativehabitatproject collab would be awesome.
This is the only series on RUclips that I sit and wait for the next episode
This and antscanada 😂
Pretty consistent with a new video every 2 weeks.

Dude, you straight up built yourself heaven on Earth
Who said money can't buy happiness!
Yep! and for 1.02M followers... 😊😊😊
Definitely thinking Tiger should go in the pond. Yes, we may never see him again, but it just builds that Personal connection even more, just hope that you will see them again someday. Does anyone remember Walter from "On Golden Pond"? Doesn't everyone have a Walter story of their own?
The big pond! Let the boy live.
Put tiger in cedar falls!!
Yes!!!!!!
Mike and Molly trout won’t make it out of the summer
@@daking414 youre right, they wont!!
I agree. Put him in the falls.
This one!
For the antennas in the water, it would also be nice to know what the temperature barometric pressure and weather conditions were. That would really answer a lot of questions for us fisherman. I love watching your videos and the story of this pond build, How all the wildlife have adopted it and made it a home. Thank yall very much!
I don’t really know that it would answer many questions. These farm ponds aren’t very much like fishing pressured larger public lakes.
@@MrGeorge426f that’s a good point that I hadn’t thought of. Plus larger deeper bodies of water are going to have a different effect than a small shower pond.
Dude, I see a bunch of RUclipsrs using "Better Help" as a sponsor. I have no issues with that one bit. I want everyone to be happy. Your videos/updates on your pond are complete therapy for me! I look forward to them on Sundays! Your pond project is amazing! Love seeing all the different wildlife that shows up and love how much work you put into it! Please keep up the amazing work! I am so calm and relaxed after watching them!
So awesome to see how far the channel has come. I’ve been a subscriber since 2014 when it was just fishing videos. 10 plus year of great content. Now you have the baddest pond on RUclips, ya’ll deserve all the creditably. Hard work pays off!
The unidentified animal Hooter caught looks like a Muskrat. Nice Catch!
No tail - it cannot be a muskrat. Also, the body shape is all wrong.
It is a juvenile rabbit. The ears and the longish feet are a dead give away. Young rabbits do not have proportionately shorter feet and shorter ears than adults. I have caught lots of them this age with my trained hawks when I am out early in the year with a very young hawk.
@@geoffhirschi803Possibly a " vole "
Looked like a beaver kit to me.
I agree looked like a muskrat
8 days to see it in person again!
Been watching you and @bamabass for a couple years dug out my 1acre pond because of y’all thanks keep up the good videos
I was worried about the fish and the holidays, and now that problem is solved. Damn fine work, boys!
Man I love how much info you pack into these
Love your content.
Fatherless bot
Everything you do here is my childhood dream, every single thing. I love these videos.
Haven't been able to tune in for a while, but it's nice to see that everything is going well, and you got over 1 million subscribers!
You should put some native plants in the wetland filter and pond. Just grab some from a local pond and just dump them in, Like lily pads and dwarf hairgrass
As an elecrician with a electronics background, BamaBass is putting together some great examples of what can be accomplished with nature. Just as an idea, I have the Govee Spotlight for trees where you can change settings for celebrations holidays etc. We keep ours on glacier. Anyways, they would look incredible shining indirectly at the trees around the pond. They show up super bright on film but easy on the eyes in person.
Light-pollution is bad.
@@sinenomine4540 get a life weirdo 😂
These videos bring me so much joy
You’re making Alabama Power very happy!
Great update ,Amazing how much your pond and landscaping has progressed , 💚🙏🏻🇬🇧
Building an environment for animals to enjoy is a lifelong dream. Love this channel!
One way ive heard of to get rid of invasive grass or groundcover is to get a bunch of cardboard from a local store (they usually give it away for free if you ask nicely) and cover the ground where the invasive plants are, and then cover the cardboard with some mulch. Youll need to keep it there for a whole cycle of the growing season to make sure any seeds get fully killed off,, but afterwards you can just till under all the mulch and cardboard with aome heavy equipment and repopulate the area with some native grass seeds
Good idea, thanks!
@BamaBass no problem! I've been recently looking up organic ways to rid our herb garden of invasive mint that hopped out of its pot a couple years back, without causing harm to all the other herbs. This was one of the methods that seemed like it was the best for the environment. It'll probably be an ongoing problem at least for a couple years, but if you can get the majority of the flowering area now then you'll get a good chunk of the work done then and there. It'll just be playing whack-a-mole as the next season arrives with the small patches of new seedlings you'll have to look out for.
The 5 acre pond for Tiger - he deserves some freedom.
Lots and lots of Bald Eagles here in the Pacific Northwest. As a delivery driver for the last 20 years, I see Bald Eagles everywhere. Not amongst the skyscrapers, but the are in most residential areas just outside the cities. The crows are constantly pestering the Eagles year round, but are very vicious when their young are growing in the nests. They go together like peanut butter and jelly to me.
Out west of Ontarioio. The eagle nest towers usualy start with big tire for base.
In the big pond...give him freedom!!
Always entertained by your content, it's awesome!
Use a product "Rodeo". its an aquatic round up. Making sure of wind direction is away from the pond. Rodeo will deactivate once touching soil or water. Before a rain, apply a pre emergent to assist you in not letting weed seed emerge. Apply every 100 days in the growing season
Love, love, love the new light show fountain. So practical and beautiful.
I look forward to seeing your updates on the pond I've been watching since you built the 1st back yard pond and it's amazing how far the projects have come I got cancer a few years ago and havent been able to do this kind of stuff anymore but watching you and your beautiful family create these pure gold videos has been inspiring and fun to watch. Thank you
Look into seasonal prescribed burns to exhaust the invasive grasses seed bank (will take a few years) then overseed with native species. Try to do the burns before they get to seed stage
Where you have a lot of invasive grass I’d simply plant a lot of comfrey amongst it. It kills the grass around where it’s growing due to its big base leaves and it’s amazing at attracting birds bees butterflies etc etc. huge patch of comfrey will look and act amazing for you buddy.
Really enjoy watching your up dates and how you take care of all the animals. Thanks
That mystery fish looks like some kind of silverside
Maybe a brook silverside
How big do they get ? Looked small for the fish it choked on
Bama see this!
@MrCheekyrust I'm not sure, they're not native to my area so im not an expert at all. I'm just a fan of a challenge and I like trying to identify plants and animals
@@kinexkid I think maybe a Mississippi silverside??
Great shot of the Eagle on the perch!❤
The critter the owl caught is a very young cottontail rabbit. Their feet and their ears are proportionately smaller than the adults when they are little. When I am training a new young hawk to hunt, I often catch a few in that age range when I am out late in the summer or early fall.
Do you guys host field trips? This would be a cool ecological visit from kindergarten to graduate school
Now my day is complete. A bamabass video. Can't get better then this. Let's go 😄
This serious keeps getting better!!! Love the content!!!
Also I think it would be cool if you could catch that MASSIVE toad in your Back yard pond and take it to the 5 acre pond, fella would be hard to miss even in there
I look forward to these videos every Monday morning when I get home from work. It's amazing what you've been doing with this pond. I can't wait to see whats to come.
Not moby spitting out a mating frog pair😂
Aquarium shrimp keeper here.
Shrimp dont grow day by day like you alluded to. They grow as they molt. Youll only see them grow day by day if you see them the day before and the day after a molt. They typically only molt every 1-6 weeks depending on age and species.
Atthis age theyre probably molting every 1-2 weeks.
Anyway, love the vids. Keep em coming my man.
How are the trout doing in both ponds? I agree with someone saying track water temperatures and if possible temperatures at different depths. Shows in the summer how the fish react to water temperatures
It would be cool to put some prongs in the big tank and watch them grow
Man I absolutely love this channel!!!
Hard work, dedication, science, nature ... Activate! ... BamaBass!
So excited for the squirrel house and just think it’s awesome watching your pond grow and thrive I freaking love it!!!!!
Watched some of the first videos of the pond being made. I don’t follow often but I love checking in every few months and seeing the progression. Very cool!!!
Love your content
I’m ashamed to admit how often I refresh RUclips on Sundays just waiting for a new BamaBass video
Nutria or muskrat would be my guess on Hooter's meal.
Bama I love your channel.. You have helped me get my love of fishing back in my life. I would love to see you do a video with Flair since he is working on building a new pond at his new home.
Controlled torch burn on tops till and rake ground
Burning would make things worse, cogon grass is a pyrophyte, fire helps it spread.
How about covering it with plastic or tarp no sunlight no oxygen?
My favorite channel
Your mystery fish might be an Inland Silverside "Menidia beryllina"
Dude, this is just so great.
I know how to make your Pond look as clear as a swimming pool!! You don't seem to have any cleaner shrimp in the pond, so If you stock your pond with Micro-Fauna like Daphnia and Moina Micropopa, they'll go after all of that phyto plankton floating around that's making it look green.
I hope this helps! With a very generous stocking of these that whole pond will be crystal clear.
He doesn't want the pond crystal clear all the bass in the pond have tags in them and he tracks them and their weight he puts fertilizer in the pond to keep it from being clear
Ponds aren't meant to be crystal clear! That is the sign of an unhealthy ecosystem.
Bamabass did this with my pond, and it absolutely works. It won’t harm the pond at all, it just reduces agae. It’s also really hard to overstock on micro-invertebrates since trout kind of filter feed on them.
If it’s crystal clear the fish will be easy targets for birds of prey and it will allow sunlight to reach the bottom and cause even more vegetative growth to grow.
@@-B_G- I’m not talking ‘bout crystal clear. Im saying that it would reduce algae and allow fish to move deeper with more oxygen in the lower reaches of the pond. A bird can’t catch a fish that’s 5 feet underwater
Props on the ubiquiti bridging gear. I work for a WISP and thought this channel was awesome even though I don't fish much, but after seeing how you get some of your video, I'm sold!
I look forward to your videos! Thanks for sharing all this knowledge!
Cogon grass is pretty hard to kill. You can cover the area in a huge black plastic tarp(roofing tarp) to kill the grass. You really have to plow the ground up to 6 inches to get the roots. You can do a 30% vinegar, salt and dish soap spray that kill the weed.
That would kill/severally burn any animal that even touched the tarp. Not the best idea, but it’s the only idea
For what it's worth, there are herbicides that are listed as safe for use in and around water. Roundup Custom is one example
@@johnnyriley455 Don't trust anything an herbicide co labelled as "safe" around aquatic life, that's like trusting Joe Camel to teach your kids hands on asbestos removal skills
I'd like to see Tiger in cedar falls. Love your video's.
Great video like always 😊 I setup a native fish mini pond with crappie and bluegill
Imma a little concerned about having that unmonitored candle in the squirrel house. Maybe an automated fire suppression system is in order?

I think you should transition tiger to cedar creek for a bit, it would be cool to see some top water blowouts from him in there before he outgrows that area too.
I think it would be really cool to show the antenna activity during any kind of storm or weather event. Wind, rain, what direction of the wind, etc. and see how it affects the bass activity. Love the videos!

This was cool! Especially when you described how you gave the minnow baitfish a place to get away mostly from the Bass.
-WOW! Those little baby Largemouth Bass are QUICK! -MAN THEY SWIM FAST IN THAT SHALLOW WATER!
Thank you for the journey.
What about adding an antenna to the Eagle’s Nest to see if they catch any of the Bass?
To get rid of that grass you could try a controlled burn that would get rid of it and let the native species take over
Wow this pond is amazing cant wait to see how it is gonna look like in 5 years
Tiger should go into cedar falls
13:48 if you look "REAL closely" you can see 2 attached toads jumping together lmaoo

lol I seen that !
Been watching for a while now love the pond I can’t wait to build one myself
This channel is awesome, you are living out my dream.
23:43 I think the wetland filter is an upgrade from the tank and a great way to keep an eye on his growth. Let him put on some more size, then release him into the 5 acre. You could put him in the deeper end too, but I wonder if it'll get a bit too crowded in there. Hard to gauge the size of Cedar Falls from video, so you'll definitely know best when it comes the viability of putting him there.
