Yea you’re definitely right. It is a full size one. There’s that size which I’ve bought a number of times and then the 8oz and then the bigger bigger size one.
Finally a calendar that a lot of thought was put into. Usually it seems like they are assembled like "Right! Let's see what testers do we have left...!" Sad and quite insulting, but this one is fantastic. Especially the art work. I think pics are looking like that because they intended to resemble the originals. And I don't think they had Photoshop and others ways to make pictures look polished...😂 I'm so glad you like this one.
Sam McKnight is a legend in his field. He has done hundreds of Vogue covers and he was also Princess Diana's hairdresser and the one who came up with the iconic princess di short hair. Never tried his brand but i assume it's good considering his years of experience that he put into his brand.
This is the Advent calendar I enjoyed watching you unbox the most. It was full of beautiful things. I really liked the leather card carrier, the jewelry, and the fragrance and candles. I suppose that means that I'm loving the non-beauty items more. I'm swimming in makeup and skincare right now, so I'm definitely biased. Thanks Lauren!
I love this calendar. The vintage covers are beautiful. The Olaplex is not a sample size. That is the small size and sells for $30. I know this because I just started using it in October. My hair is very thankful. Just wanted to share my little bit of knowledge.
I am a Cle De Peau woman and I love it - have used a LOT of luxury skin care over the decades and Clea de Peau is the best. I never looked back! Wonderful.
Those illustrations are actually real vogue archives throughout the years and some of them may be dated back to 1800s. Maybe that’s why they are pixelated
I really love that the bracelet goes with the vintage theme, like it’s all tied up together. It feels like they did really well, you have the variety of products, good value, but still feels thoughtful with all the illustrations and the poster. It’s very… ✨vogue✨ like some calendars feel very interchangeable, but this one showcases over 100 years of their history. AND part of profits goes to charity. I’m just really impressed, I hope all the people that worked on it are proud 💕
So far this advent calendar is actually really nice! I am only half way into watching but am impressed with everything. I think this one is gonna be worth it! And the doors are so pretty and unique. 😊
My husband surprised me with this Vogue advent calendar and I loved it! Very happy with the products and it was fun to read the cover cards for each day.
My son just caught sight of this while I was watching and wants this box so so bad lol not the contents but just the box he’s seriously going nuts over it. He’s very much into art, I have to say he’s very talented not only drawing etc but also in makeup. He’s definitely not going to let this one go haha he’s autistic and once he’s fixated on something like this he’s determined to get it haha I’m going to have to start checking on Poshmark I have to say this really is a beautiful box. There was another one you did recently similar to this the box was really pretty with drawers I believe? Anyway I love this whole series your doing 💜💜🎄⛄️
I'm sure you already know this, but those cashmere socks are hand-wash/dry only. Something to be aware of before you stuff them into your hiking boots and go for a stomp! Lovely box!
I've had these White Company socks before. They are a gorgeous treat, but definitely only for bed. Mine got holes very quickly after minimum pottering around the house (with slippers on).
I use a muslin cloth with it, it works as a gentle exfoliant, so although I usually double cleanse, I don't always, I like the moisture it leaves behind when I'm too tired to do anything else to my face.
@@dogberryandmoth Then all the makeup and nasty junk that’s on your face stays on your face. But yes, you are supposed to, according to what I’ve heard from dermatologists.
Double cleansing too often irritates the heck out of my face, so I just use emulsifying balm or foam cleanser most days. Plus I've seen dermatologists say that unless your skin is super oily it's not actually nessecary. I guess the lesson is go with what your skin type needs/will tolerate.
I got the Trader Joes bath and body advent calendar, and maybe its because its my first non chocolate advent calendar, but i freaking love it and am having so much fun opening a door every day! Ive actually really loved every product so far, it makes me want to get another one next year😂 it was only $20 and i think thats a great price so far
I love Vogue and was so, SO tempted by this but couldn't afford it... I'm only on Day 4 and I already wish I'd bought it hahaha. I'll just have to settle for living vicariously through you... and maybe setting some money aside so I can buy next year's!
This is the BEST calendar just based on the fact that you don’t destroy it. I love that you can reuse it. 👏👏👏 I don’t wear gold, just silver and I don’t like rose scented products but, those things make great gifts. The DETAIL in this box is stunning.
I think it would be fun to do an advent brand round up to show what products you got from each brand, like, can you now do a whole skincare routine with Barbara? 😂
Augustine bader cream is amazing but so is the Dr Barbara both super hydrating not oily or too wet, they both feel plumping and remain slightly tacky so you don’t need primer, i buffed out my hourglass stick foundation over both and they blended immaculately with no drag from my kabuki brush, foundations like that aren’t good with a beauty blender, im a fan, right just off too sell my right kidney so I can afford the whole skin care line from both brands ❤❤😂😂😂😂

I think this is the best one you’ve opened. I love the mix of different items-jewelry, socks, the sleep mask etc etc in addition to the beauty and fragrance options! Love it !
Such pretty packaging. They really made an effort for this one. And I liked the mix of jewellery and beauty products., you could take the bracelet to a jeweller and get an extra link put in or expander chain so it fits comfortably. I'd be super excited about getting that calendar. It was done really well for their first one. 👍👍
Greetings from UK 🎉 what's BBB London, I've no idea and I'm well versed in brands. 😂 The White Company has lovely scents of shower & bath products. Quality.
Am I the only one who thinks a necklace ought to be vermeil or fill for more than $100 when it's that small? Maybe the brand is trendy and that's why they get away with the price, but you can definitely get more for that price.
I think maybe those very delicate pieces are harder to find right now, so they're worth more? I agree with you. I honestly thought to myself, "don't let it be a tacky little tiny heart mass produced piece" lol but realized that not everyone has a cheap delicate heart or best friend necklace anymore. It's not a bad piece but doesn't seem very creative or interesting. I love delicate necklaces with eensy weensy charms but I'd want high end materials or an interesting piece for that much. I bought some for incredibly delicate, artisan-made, science-inspired sterling little necklaces a few months ago for very extremely reasonable prices.
All expensive advent calendars are full of overpriced brands to pad the "value". Did you miss the part where 2 samples of the Sisley creams are more expensive than a whole *working* day and night skincare routine?
I think this is my favorite so far that you have unboxed. The antique covers are gorgeous, and they included such nice non-beauty items! I think the non-beauty items were my faves, the jewelry, socks, card holder, and candles. Nice job, Vogue!
After watching your Advent calendar series I definitely want this one 😮😊 if they release something similar next year I'd rather invest in this one than any other . I love that it definitely is a lifestyle calendar and the value seems great
I really think the value in this one is great!! But honestly, I don’t love yellow gold jewelry AND I’m on the thick side so I’m sure only the earrings would fit! Love this series. Prepping hubs to look for one next year! Maybe the Nemin’s fragrance or one of the London department store ones…🤔
I personally think this Vogue one is worth it. You get like 4x or a little over, then what you paid for. Plus all the products and jewelry are actually great ones and brands. ❤
Of all the advent calendars I’ve seen you and other RUclipsrs opened so far, this one is by far my favorite. It’s so pretty and all of the products are so luxurious. If I have the money, I would totally buy it.
Loved this advent calendar! This is what I would expect when paying for a high priced advent calendar. Luxury products, mostly if not all full sized, from expensive brands! Like when else would I ever get to try a $155 face cream? Funny enough, I actually do like buying the mini hour glass ambient light powder (pressed) cause it honestly lasts me years, so would that blush.
So I tint my eyebrows every few months. My suggestion to you for whenever you dye/tint your eyebrows would be to go one shade lighter than the color you want your eyebrows to be. Usually the color ends up looking darker once on your brows. If it ends up too light for you, it's easy to just take the dye a shade darker while still there instead of ending up with brows that are darker than you like and waiting months before you can change it.
Lauren, I’m with you on the smell of the Oribe products. I love, love, LOVE their dry shampoo. It smells sooooo good! I have red hair, and it doesn’t make my hair powdery, or leave any flakey stuff in my hair. Yummm!!!
I think on the whole I’d be happy with that calendar, especially if it was given to me as a Christmas gift. I quite like the inclusion of the gold jewellery, but I don’t own much jewellery and it’s some thing you can keep (same goes for the the silk mask and the cashmere socks). Love the art work on the boxes, that is something really special we haven’t seen the likes of before. Agree that the minis/ sample sizes were a little bit of a cop-out, but on the whole a good calendar. I thought for sure there was gonna be an Agustinus Bader in there though 😂
The Oribe moisturizing creme is amazing! It's one of my favorite hair products. You don't need much (pea size) to get shiny, frizz-free, manageable, & silky smooth hair. The travel size last a long time.
Honey, these advent calendar videos have been my fav ever! Thank you so much for doing this for us. And it’s ok you haven’t tried Sisley yet, you’ve got plenty of time☺️
The oribe moisture cream is one of my absolute favorites. I am on my third purchase and one tube lasts me a year. A little goes a long way and the quality of the oil is amazing. Very moisturizing yet light weight. My hair always feels incredibly soft. I think you’ll love it
I love your adventures calendar openings so much. I've watched them all. Your commentaries are hilarious! This was my favorite. I think the value was there and the vintage artwork is amazing.
This is definitely one of the better ones I've seen. To me it was better than the Dior one, which costs thousands of dollars. I think the value differs person to person on these (unless they're just terrible). If you'l use most of the products it's worth it. Also if you saved money on products you wanted to try.
Lolllllll i had the same experience with that Love Dont Be Shy perfume. I did *not* like it at first, but ended up having to change my fragrantica review after i wore it for a while
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺. I love your reactions. I just watched some else open the same calendar and she said the same thing about the Sisley day. Looks like small sizes but the value is very high. Definitely going to try and get this one next year even though the exchange rate will mean that I will be paying around $700 AUD.
The difference with calendars featuring different brands like this one, and particularly a Vogue calendar, would be that brands wants to be included so they may be willing to make less profit on their stuff. You want to be Vogue approved and to appeal to the Vogue clientele that may not know your products. It's a win-win. I'd even say it's a win-win-win.
As a lover of vintage early 20th century illustration, I may actually be more interested in the boxes than some of the contents 😹
Same 😂
same here!!
THIS
same here😊
I thought the same thing!
I’m 82% positive that the olaplex product is full sized. Their full sized products often look tiny haha
It definitely is. It's the size I buy and use 👍🏻
Yep- it is full-size for sure! I use it as well😊
Yea you’re definitely right. It is a full size one. There’s that size which I’ve bought a number of times and then the 8oz and then the bigger bigger size one.
This is the best one yet. The calendar is stunning and sturdy. The contents are pretty high value as well.
I agree, totally wish i got this one before it sold out, just love this one
Finally a calendar that a lot of thought was put into. Usually it seems like they are assembled like "Right! Let's see what testers do we have left...!"
Sad and quite insulting, but this one is fantastic. Especially the art work. I think pics are looking like that because they intended to resemble the originals. And I don't think they had Photoshop and others ways to make pictures look polished...😂
I'm so glad you like this one.
The only advent calendar i bought was a cheese one. Not a single disappointing day! 😂 🧀
I bought myself some Manchego with truffle and I'm in love 😂
There’s a cheese one? Omg where did u get it? 😭‼️
@@TheRainAbove I work in a deli, and I bought it as soon as they came in off the truck. They sell out fast!
@@AppalachianAllegory I’m now going to be on the look out for cheese advent calendars at delis, haha! 😆
I'm not surprised XD
I feel like these beautiful sturdy boxes would be good for storing Christmas ornaments
Came here to say exactly this ❤
Great idea!
yeah!
I was just thinking it would be great storage for sewing supplies.

Idk if I didn't use mine right, but my Olaplex no. 3 didn't work for me on my bleach-fried and colored hair. :/
I think i read on the website that you also get a year’s vogue subscription with this calendar, so worth double checking!
Oooh, combined with the great art and products, that sounds like a decent deal.
This is the first advent calendar I'd actually consider buying. It's beautiful.
I am a Cle De Peau woman and I love it - have used a LOT of luxury skin care over the decades and Clea de Peau is the best. I never looked back! Wonderful.
I would reuse that at my desk for all the little paper clips, thumbtacks, various leads for mechanical pencils, etc

The sample perfumes took it down a bit,but overall it was good
Damn this is one of the nicest advent calendars I've seen.

The Olaplex no. 3 that you received isn't a sample size. That's the actual full size ($30) for that. That's 2-3 uses for me
The box designs are genius and so gorgeous. Good job vogue. I’m impressed
Omg if my boyfriend got me this and only this as a gift, I’d be content! I hope they do one of these again next year - would buy
You always want to do a second cleanse when using a cleansing balm or cleansing oil.
I use a muslin cloth with it, it works as a gentle exfoliant, so although I usually double cleanse, I don't always, I like the moisture it leaves behind when I'm too tired to do anything else to my face.
It's not necessary if the cleansing balm or oil emulsifies.

This is so beautiful. I love the artwork. That is a full sized olapelx nr 3. That is very nice. ❤
"As I get older.." LOL girl.....
You’re supposed to follow up with a water based cleanser after your oil/balm cleanse. The oil/balm is only meant to take makeup/sunscreen off.
If the balm or oil has emulsified and left no residue it is not necessary to do a second cleanse.
That’s what I always thought.
Best value I've seen in an Advent calendar this year and one of the most beautiful.
That Sisley black rose mask is AMAZING I’ve had 3 bottles now it lasts a long time and it makes you glow love!!!
Vogue killed it ! This is my favourite calendar I’ve seen

your advent calendars have been my favorite series of any vlogmas style things this year

Agree, I do think it’s cute but I buy gold plated jewelry from Ana Luisa for less than half that price.
All "luxury" brands are overpriced for what they're worth
On the Lily and Roo website a similar tiny heart necklace is sold plated silver so seems likely that it is vermeil.

Thanks for the review, but the hubby is getting me a new rear bumper for my Jeep, at that same price.
Ok yesterday you convinced me to save for the jo malone calendar next year. Now you have me wanting to save for the vogue calendar next year 😭
I think it was nice to have a mix of types of products

So obsessed with these videos 😍

Stunningly beautiful presentation. TFS! 💜

Your face and the Christmas tree are beautiful!!!!! I hope your new years and 2024 will be a blessing for you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
I loooooooove the Sisley perfume ‘Izia’ - it’s a rose/citrus but it smells so light and sunshiny
This is my personal favorite of all you previewed. Thanks for sharing this with us. When did you start looking online for it?
Shouldn’t you always be doing a second cleanse after any cleansing balm/oils?
It`s definitely the best advent calendar that I`ve seen. I love the jewelry!
Lauren, ok, you are officially now Bougee ❤❤❤❤art and beauty combined 🌲🌲

I think this is an amazing calendar - it makes me very proud to be British! 🇬🇧 🎉

I love the vintage feel of the actual calendar. It was very nice. For sure an 9 out of 10. I like jewelry. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Love the jewelry! How many face stuff can you actually use in a year..
Lolllllll i had the same experience with that Love Dont Be Shy perfume. I did *not* like it at first, but ended up having to change my fragrantica review after i wore it for a while

I just bought the Olaplex a few weeks ago and that's the full size you got. Not a sample
Just fyi that olaplex isn’t a sample size. Thats the professional retail size for that product. They don’t make a bigger bottle of it, unfortunately.
Sisley vale cada céntimo que pagues por sus productos ,es de lejos una de las mejores marcas que existen en cosmética.
