@@mediocrebankaiI loved the Eos scrub I just hate the tube especially in the cold weather it gets to hard to squeeze out🥲 I ended up cutting mine and and emptied it out in a different container.

haha as a Nigerian girlie who was raised with African net sponges its been lovely seeing them catch on, I tried a loofah once and I just didn't feel like it exfoliated enough!
Where do you get your African net sponges? I’m scared to shop online seeing as people in my life have gotten fake ones! The ones where they just unroll a loofah lol
Vanilla Cashmere is my go to when I want a scented body lotion since it can pair with a lot! otherwise I go unscented. By the way speaking of Target, I think their Finery perfumes are supposed to be high-end dupes, so that's maybe a video idea for the future, like you did with B&BW
Whenever I am back in the USA, perhaps!! I will have to schedule another trip haha . I certainly like the affordability of Fine'ry, it's just a little hard to get my hands on their products right now :)
For any cocoa butter seeking people try Palmer's lotion and their jarred formula thats in the tub. It smells like straight up chocolate and moisturizes, absorbs well.
Top tier tip. I just opened a jar and I wish I could eat it. Even my best friend who HATES lotion, I got them turned onto this body butter and they love it. Currently using Axe Dark Temptation body wash with Palmer’s body butter is *chef’s kiss* in the middle of winter (I enjoy gender neutral scents often)
I was finding that antiperspirant was clogging my armpit pores and generally not skin healthy. I started using peroxyl 4% face wash under my armpits, then a bit of cream and perfume. Works much better I smell amazing until my next shower. My armpits look a lot healthier. Peroxyl was a life-changer for me can't recommend it enough.
I mix a dropper of the Frenshe Cashmere Vanilla Hair and Body Oil into a few pumps of the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion. It adds a kind of grounded note to the lotion’s cupcake fluffiness, and makes the smell *LAST*, especially on my winter dry skin. That oil also makes a great base/prep before spraying on perfume, and makes my fragrance last longer.
Yesss i swear by the Dove sheer protection. They have a pomegranate one that's also delightful but I like the sheer protection because it truly doesn't stain clothes
I love your way of promoting products, it's refreshing to see someone who knows the science behind beauty and is realistic about consumerism. It's so much better than just saying that something is good, plus I love how soft spoken you are 😊
YES can you do a video on your ORENA fragrances/bodycare and which ones are good/bad dupes. Can you also do a video on Oriana/LDBS dupes or similar ones! Love your videos!!!
I adore the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion. At first I thought it might be too thick but it goes on so smooth and soaks into skin very quickly, leaving no greasy residue AND last but not least it is AFFORDABLE ❤❤❤❤❤. But please Emma. Don’t eat it 😂
@ oh wow that’s so much better! Shame that they don’t sell officially in other countries then, I’m guessing it’s resellers who are importing them bc it’s literally equivalent to $25-$30 here
I also use this but can I ask if the scent lasts on your skin? For me it doesn’t 😢 so i layer it with perfume. But oh how I wish the lotion scent lasts ‘cause it’s so good 😭
I used to make soap at home! And yes, very dangerous chemical known as lye (sodium hydroxide) is needed with an oil to create saponification. Very cool but very dangerous if mixed out of order
My favorite bodycare recommendations: For people who work a physical job or who are very physically active and are concerned about sweat control: the Duradry line is a 3-step system that uses various aluminum salts to proactively control sweat throughout the day. There is a body wash you use in the shower, a gel you apply at night, and then the deodorant. I'm a manager at a very busy flagship retail location and I am literally on my feet 9+ hours a day running around like crazy. I do not get sweaty at ALL with these products. Even during the summer. Highly recommended, but you do have to use them consistently. My favorite bodycare line is Naturium's The Glow Getter line of oil-to-gel body wash, body oil and body butter. This line has the best formulation of linolenic-rich plant oils (including jojoba, rosehip and sea buckthorn oils) plus squalene. Jojoba and squalene are both skin-identical ingredients. The body oil in particular has the most divine, very faint vanillic and almost buttery fragrance, not enough to call it "fragranced" in and of itself, it's very subtle, but it makes the best base for perfume oils and helps your fragrance stick to your skin. Highly recommended!
I swear by the combo of sulfur soap from palmers (stinky but doesn’t make you stinky) and secret clinical fragrance free deodorant. I do get BO if I don’t keep on top of it and that combo is what keeps me BO free for over 24h.
YES, please make the video with Orena’s body care products. I live in Italy and have been thinking about buying them for a while, but 1. they’re expensive, so I want to know which ones are worth it and which ones aren’t, 2. I can’t try them because they don’t sell testers, and 3. I really like how you structure your videos. So yes, I really love this idea🫶🏻
I would LOVE you to do a similar video on all the bodycare you discover during your time in Paris, if that's possible for you 😊 It would be lovely for Europe based people to see recommendations we can get more easily (like the french body butter you showed 😊) Thanks for your entertaining and informative content ❤ As a pharmacist, i really enjoy the science rants 👌
I love Native deodorants. I actually use the men's cedar + sea salt. Smells amazing; slightly musky, amber-ish vibes. Not overtly masculine at all, very unisex
🕊 The Dove ones - not deodorant (against smell) - it's antipersperant (against sweat) - two different things! Imo it's better because the sweat is the smelly part lol 😊 2:10 currently using this one for a few months now! The scent is good but SO overpowering when first put on... I avoided using it during the summer because I went to bed smelling it and my throat itched. Now it's colder and I wear a long sleeve shirt on top so I don't smell it anymore but do enjoy the results of the use 😅
Just want to say how much I appreciate that you started your video with the fact that we don't need to have everything under the sun. Very classy! This is a long shot, but would you know of a substitute for the Laura Mercier French Vanilla or Almond Coconut body creams? The FV was discontinued a long time ago and the AC was reformulated, so it doesn't smell the same and the quality is gone. Their body creams are the only ones I've found that last all day. The Vanilla EOS is great for everyday, but it doesn't come close to Laura Mercier scents.
I do like that some of the products you mentioned were very affordable, and I definitely appreciated that you weren’t pushing anything on us like a lot of similar videos tend to do. I consider myself pretty dang basic with my body care items. I switched to Dove beauty bars instead of shower gel/body wash because I didn’t like all of the plastic waste from those products, and I felt like I went through it faster than bars; I usually go for the “fresh cucumber” green bars. I will pay a little extra for Kenra thickening shampoo and conditioner (fine hair woes lol), and for my face I just use Neutrogena’s foaming facial cleanser for sensitive skin. And for body lotion I can’t help it, I still like Bath & Body Works body cream scents 😅 Their “In The Stars” is one of my favorites and it layers nice with my Lancôme Idôle Nectar perfume that I love. But I also keep some unscented Aveeno lotion for times when I don’t want a scented lotion, or I know I want to wear a perfume and don’t want it competing with my lotion. As for deodorant, Suave’s “Everlasting Sunshine” is my go-to. It smells nice but doesn’t compete with any of my fragrances, at least not that I’ve noticed.
My husband and I use Almay Sensitive Skin Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Fragrance-Free. It’s phenomenal! After years of natural deodorants without anti-perspirant (pandemic time-frame) and having to do midday washes/refreshes on ourselves while still ruining our shirts with embedded funk, I suggested we try the Almay in December 2023. We’ve never looked back! In past years I never felt like anti-perspirant deodorants were fully working, and then I was educated that they were “bad for us,” so I started the deodorant-only search. Honestly, with how well this Almay one has worked, I think it may just be that not all aluminum salts are created equally 🤔. This Almay one uses Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate at 25%. I’ve been tempted at times to try some of the Dove ones you recommended in this video though, as we use Dove Sensitive Skin Fragrance-Free Beauty Bars to wash with along with Lume Unscented Body Wash. And for the record I enjoy fragrance but minimally/subtly 😊. I wear Chanel Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum almost everyday. Very rarely, if at all, am I ok with other scented everyday products interfering with my daily fragrance, but some days I don’t mind smelling like other scents while not wearing my Chanel. I do enjoy perfumery, however! So glad RUclips introduced you to me today! 😀 Happy fragrancing! 🪷🧁✨
I just have to say, i recently started using soap after using body wash/face wash forever. My skin has never been better. No more face or body acne. When you wear sunblock every day, real soap cuts that grease and lets your skin care products penetrate. I'll never go back to body wash.
i’ve used oldspice deodorant for the longest time now lol in the past, ive used bearglove (for a couple of years in my teens), wolfthorn, and krakengard. these all have a sweeter smell than most of their other scents. right now ive been using wilderness (which has lavender notes). i’ve never really liked the powdery-ness of women’s deodorant and i find that oldspice as a good selection of gender neutral scents so i absolutely recommend
As someone who is sensitive to smells, some of my favorite body care products that helps me smell good are the Sol de Janerio Body Butter (I have #59) and hand/body creams from Bath and Body Works. I don’t really like the other Sol de Janerio scents, but #59 smells vaguely like vanilla and warmness. It dries down so nicely and can be smelt like a week after application. It is really nice. I also use hand/body creams days after shower day for extra moisturization, and they smell really nice and last a pretty long time. I usually reapply it twice a week during the winter. The hand creams are powerful, as I literally use them instead of perfume/other fragrances. They last extremely long and can spread across the room. Highly recommend.
I've recently been enjoying salt and stone's bergamot and hinoki body wash as well as their basil and neroli deodorant. Both really good, interesting scents in my opinion, and free of aluminum and other common chemicals :) feels fresh and the longevity and strength are just what you'd want
Love your videos ( I always enjoy the scientific/information part)❤ Have you tried the Greek Korres perfumes? They're amazing! I think you'd love the clean ones 🫧 (Lefko, white tea, cashmere Kumquat), the one that smells like summer on a Greek island🏖️ (sikinos) and the one that smells like a Greek forest🌳🌳 (philosia).
I use one of their face creams (the wild rose night brightening one) and I love the scent, I haven’t tried any of their perfumes but now you have me intrigued
I love hearing about your top favs! I’m a big fan of rotating body wash by the season - Lush has some great smelling ones, especially Rose Jam and the Ro’s Argan body conditioner. Also love the ones from Native - their deoderant is great too. Highly recommend L’Occitanne too, their almond line is delicious.
Wild refillable deodorant is refillable, aluminum free and smells absolutely amazing! My favourite and i go to the gym too . They even have refillable body products and lipbalms that smell amazing!
My favourite deodorants are cashmere mist (antiperspirant version) from donna karan and the biotherm roll-on. I need the heavy duty stuff. They seem to be the only ones that keep me dry and smelling good!
I just love your content. I enjoy perfume and appreciate scents overall, but the fact you also educate about it and give opinion and detail about the notes of the product is a major plus!!
Nivea pearl beauty deodorant Its a spray , fresh floral powdery scent. I wish i could find a perfume that smells like it. Basically its long lasting, and you can smell it during the day but like a soft skin scent not overwhelming at all
i would personally love an orena video!! i’ve wanted to get some of their products for a few months now and i don’t know which scent to get! and also it would just be nice to hear you talk about the fragrances with all the knowledge that you have.💗💗💗
your bedroom is very vintage looking and I like it , subscribed !! ❤😭 also I appreciate your educated opinions on products. giving your honest opinions . I also like that you give high end and drugstore options ✨
Megababe Sunny Pits is aluminum free and smells like lemons, and it works. My favorite deodorant, and I live in Texas where it is super hot. I use ZOTE soap, definitely basic in the pH sense. It stopped my chronic itching and has made my skin so clear. Whereas Dove and other body washes cause hives on me. I follow up ZOTE with Cerave SA Gentle Exfoliating Lotion, definitely acidic. So maybe it restores pH to acid.
Love your channel!! Hope you're feeling better soon. It's my first Christmas away from my family and I'm feeling sad, so I'm ready for some body care retail therapy ❤❤ Off I goooo
I’d recommend the Tom’s Of Maine North Woods Antiperspirant! It has a lavender and sharp pine scent with a bit of rosemary. It smells like something real. It doesn’t smell super synthetic and plastic-y like most deodorants
If you spend a lot of time outdoors, I strongly recommend the Sun Bum Original Sunscreen Lotion. It has a coconut and banana scent, and people have complimented me on it even after sweaty outdoor workouts lol. I wouldn’t use it as a day-to-day sunscreen since it’s quite greasy.
Deodorant: Necessaire Anti-perspirant: I used the same as you for years but I wanted a refillable one so I could stop using the single-use plastic and I finally found one. I now use Helmm and it smells great. Body cream: Josie Marian whipped argan oil in vanilla. Barely scented and works with all of my perfumes. Body oil: Osea, but it’s expensive, so I also use Neutrogena. Detergent: Bath & Body Works Cashmere Santal (even just the scent booster).
Hey Emma, hopefully you’re doing well, take care of yourself. Thanks for making this video. Also since you were curious about our favorite deodorants: my favorite deodorant currently is Glossier You Deodorant! They make a couple other scents (and unscented) and it has some PH-adjusting ingredients such as Magnesium Hydroxide, which helps inhibit odor causing bacteria for a little longer. It is not cheap, but it’s very moisturizing so a little goes a LONG way. Contains coconut oil, can stain if you accidentally apply a large amount. Just do like 1-2 swipes max. BUT, It doesn’t stop sweat so if you want to use it but want to control sweat and odor with maximum success: Use an Benzoyl Peroxide face wash on your underarms IN THE SHOWER (such as PanOxyl). I learned this tip from Dr. Dray, a licensed dermatologist here on RUclips. It kills the odor-causing bacteria currently on your skin. RINSE WELL or it may bleach your towels when you dry off. Then when you’re dried off, unscented or complimentary scent antiperspirant (not deodorant) before bed. Do not apply the deodorant until morning to ensure the antiperspirant settles into your skin overnight. Applying antiperspirant in the morning makes it way less effective since you end up sweating most of it off/getting on your clothes throughout the day. I prefer to use a cream type antiperspirant such as Carpe or something similar. Then, in the morning when you get ready, apply your deodorant. No stink for days even in summer time (it gets 110 degrees F where I live) and I sweat even in the middle of winter, so that’s saying a lot. I used to stink within 1 day. Another tip: you can wash your underarms when you wash your face before bed, if you find antiperspirants don’t work for you/you avoid them or you’re not showering that night, sounds simple but can be a game changer to reduce the amount of bacteria on your skin that can cause odor. Less product buildup on your underarms also makes your products more effective, just like washing your face before applying skincare. PS: I LOVE those net sponges. I prefer the Japanese style ones with a tighter knit, they’re sooooo nice and if you get a quality one you can WASH it!!!
EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion smells almost exactly or close to the Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel body mist the body butter too …I layer them all together!
My current favorite deodorant is the Toms of main north woods antiperspirant (marketed to men, has aluminum) and for aluminum free, I tried so many that didn’t work, but the schmidt’s were pretty good! I heard of people saying to use the crystal mineral deodorant BEFORE the aluminum free deodorants!
Hi Emma, would love to see a Snif house overview! Thus far have only tried (and now own) Heal the Way. The Crumb Couture laundry detergent and scent booster sound so cool will probably score them next year, haha! Would love to know about their other scents as well. Really interesting brand!
I would love a video about scented spf! It is very hot and sunny where I live so sunscreen is a must where I live but majority of sunscreens have a very strong distinctive scent that overpowers a lot of scented products. And the only products I’ve seen that are scented are sun bum but i don’t want to smell like bananas lol. That’s just me haha
Will you do a video of the best Layering combos and suggestions you have? I am trying to find good shower care products that don't limit what purfume I can put on top of it
I also love the dove deodorants! I use the even tone ones (the mango blossom and apple ones). One really great deodorant is Marks and Spencer China Blue! I think you can find it in Europe / India
I genuinely really love my Wild deodorant, some scents I’ve used have been a bit iffy but some of them are SO nice, there’s a sage and sea salt fragrance which was lush
Please review the rest of the cyclar fragrances! I want one and I want to get one for my boyfriend so I need to figure out which one is also a good men's scent.
Perfumery student? That's so cool! Do you have any hand soap recs? Also, can I recommend leave in hair conditioner? I've found it levels up your scent game and would really bring out those waves in your hair. I think we have the same hair type. Game changerrrr
Shea moisturizer deodorant! I get cold sweats caused by hormones and deodorants don’t work for me. But all the other anti-prespriants (I spelled that wrong cause idk how to spell it ok!) were so BORING, like unscented or “clean shower” but I shea moisturizer has a coconut hibiscus that I LOVE and really helps my cold sweats :)
I wear the Trish mcevoy no9 (which is a blackberry vanilla musk) and I often wear softer vanilla lotion with it. You can definitely wear fresh scents with vanilla, but I do agree that you can’t wear super intense vanilla.
Hey Emma! I would love to know if they cover any material on carcinogens and the pros/cons of fragrance to our health in your coursework. I'm a chemical engineer and have background protecting myself from chemicals in heavy industry, but I am SO curious if perfumers take safety into account when formulating, or at least what the latest studies suggest from a toxicology perspective, respective to different ingredients. Thanks & love your content ❤
Highly recommend for vanilla soft creamy scent would be the deliciosa drench body butter from sol de janerio even though it’s a little pricey it’s amazing
Oh I really enjoyed this! I love all recommendations from well-informed people with very developed aesthetic tastes. I took some notes, thanks Emma. PS= I love Pola Aroma Ess Gold range but it's impossible to find online at a reasonable price. I should have bought it from the gift shop of the ryokan I was staying in last year. Argh! I'll never make the same mistake again when it comes to forking it over then and there when I come across anything I really like and know is rare. (The range smells of Earl Grey tea with a twist of citrus, deliciously comforting and fresh at the same time.) PPS= Most honey scented creams turn into gross rubbery synthetic messes once on the epidermis -- but not the hand cream from Country & Stream. Oddly the body cream version of this product does the aforementioned once applied but the hand cream is sensational. It smells EXACTLY like honey on hot buttery toast. I implore everybody to order one for the winter. There's absolutely nothing like it.🍯🐝
i really like serum deodorants (specifically the one from kosas), they take a bit to dry but it's worth it to me. i'm still obsessed with the soft services debaser buffing bar but sadly it was limited edition :(

As for deodorant, Suave’s “Everlasting Sunshine” is my go-to. It smells nice but doesn’t compete with any of my fragrances, at least not that I’ve noticed.
Please do the same video, but for hair care ! It would also be quite helpful. Loved this video 💕
Ohhh please do a full Cyklar review! I love Claudia but I need facts before I justify the prices
I'll never go back to body wash.
i’ve used oldspice deodorant for the longest time now lol
in the past, ive used bearglove (for a couple of years in my teens), wolfthorn, and krakengard. these all have a sweeter smell than most of their other scents. right now ive been using wilderness (which has lavender notes). i’ve never really liked the powdery-ness of women’s deodorant and i find that oldspice as a good selection of gender neutral scents so i absolutely recommend
I completely agree to this!!!
Yes I really like Salt & Stone's scents! I used to use their deodorants for a while too!!
Would love to see you make themed routines omg !! Would love a sweet smelling/ gourmand smelling routine ❤❤ I'm a new subscriber
I just love your content. I enjoy perfume and appreciate scents overall, but the fact you also educate about it and give opinion and detail about the notes of the product is a major plus!!
Nivea pearl beauty deodorant
Its a spray , fresh floral powdery scent.
Omggggg I was like just searching for good body care products with good scent and thought like I hope you had a vid about this ,now here it is ❤️
The clear, push up Secret is great! It's refreshing and it doesn't break me out the way some other aluminum deodorants may
Megababe Sunny Pits is aluminum free and smells like lemons, and it works.
Harry’s Redwood Deodorant is my go to right now, obsessed
The solar fleur scent from frenshe is BEAUTIFUL! It’s a gorgeous fresh floral scent i love it!
It blows my mind how affordable Caudalie is elsewhere, but it’s prohibitive here in the US.
I love the scent of the Round Lab pine cica body wash. It’s subtle but smells like a fresh cut Christmas tree, perfect for this time of year.
I absolutely love Dove and Secret Deodorants
The EOS hand cream is next level! Hope your week is going better, thanks for the video!
I love your videos! ❤
Ahhh thank you so much!!
love!! i also love the sweet ash detergent and scent booster from snif!!
Deodorant: Necessaire
Anti-perspirant: I used the same as you for years but I wanted a refillable one so I could stop using the single-use plastic and I finally found one.
BUT, It doesn’t stop sweat so if you want to use it but want to control sweat and odor with maximum success:
Use an Benzoyl Peroxide face wash on your underarms IN THE SHOWER (such as PanOxyl).
EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion smells almost exactly or close to the Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel body mist the body butter too …I layer them all together!
omg! the vanilla cashmere lotion was a rare find for me! viral for good reasons- smells heavenly!
I would love love LOVE a video all about Snif!
Crumb Couture is so amazing!!!
I've been loving my exfoliating body glove in place of scrubs too!
same with my net sponge! feels better to not have to buy a scrub often
I have the Eos vanilla cashmere and the Dove Bar. Now i am so happy about that
Hi Emma, would love to see a Snif house overview! Thus far have only tried (and now own) Heal the Way. The Crumb Couture laundry detergent and scent booster sound so cool will probably score them next year, haha! Would love to know about their other scents as well. Really interesting brand!
I highly recommend Yardley deodorants. I particularly love English garden and Musk.
Ooooh, I wanna try Cyklar! Never heard of this brand. The packaging is NICE!
Their products really impressed me!!
I love eos lotion! I love the vanilla scent.
I just love the Native body washes! They have so many good fragrances and it’s a simple formula that lathers well!
Will you do a video of the best Layering combos and suggestions you have? I am trying to find good shower care products that don't limit what purfume I can put on top of it
I think gentle circles with the African net sponge is enough exfoliation. I love that thing tooooooo 😭💗💗
Where do you purchase it? ❤
Dove Advanced care is where it’s at! I use the coconut one and the pomegranate one. I also love the EOS body lotions and tree hut shaving oils
Please review the rest of the cyclar fragrances! I want one and I want to get one for my boyfriend so I need to figure out which one is also a good men's scent.
Instantly subbed because of the intro❤ loved the video. Suggestion: dividing the video into chapters
Perfumery student? That's so cool! Do you have any hand soap recs? Also, can I recommend leave in hair conditioner? I've found it levels up your scent game and would really bring out those waves in your hair. I think we have the same hair type. Game changerrrr
For hand soap, I love the resurrection from Aesop!
For conditioner I love Amika!
@@perfumerism Will check it out. Thanks!!
Yes a video on Sniff !
EOS Vanilla Cashmere is a dead on dupe for Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel! I love it, but if you don’t like VBN I would stay away.
My goats are Degree Sexy Intrigue antiperspirant, Dove Sensitive skin soap, EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion, and vanilla oil from Kuumba made
I would love a video on the laundry products!!
I love Dove Men's Care cedar wood + tonka beans. It is THE BEST.
These all look great but I’m in the UK and we can’t get most of these here 😢
Shea moisturizer deodorant!
Yes please do a video on Orena and Snif. I'm so curious about that detergent. It sounds yummy! Might have to pick it up. Happy holidays Emma! ❤
I wear the Trish mcevoy no9 (which is a blackberry vanilla musk) and I often wear softer vanilla lotion with it. You can definitely wear fresh scents with vanilla, but I do agree that you can’t wear super intense vanilla.
First video I've seen from your channel. Immediate subscribe
Great video! I would love to see that orena review/comparison video, I’ve been wanting to try them!
I recommend CRYSTALUX. It's a mineral salt. It's a nautural deodorant that actually works!
I’d love to see you talk about how body chemistry changes scents. I love lavender. It smells lovely but not on me ☹️
Good question! I discuss this in my perfume 101 video part 2! ❤❤
There's absolutely nothing like it.🍯🐝
Omg u talked about cyklar! Whenever I see her products in her monthly videos they look sooo good!
Yesss they are actually so so good
Have you tried Native deodorant in the vanilla sandalwood scent? Beautiful warm scent, lasts all day, and works with every perfume I own, too.
i really like serum deodorants (specifically the one from kosas), they take a bit to dry but it's worth it to me. i'm still obsessed with the soft services debaser buffing bar but sadly it was limited edition :(
