As I have learned more information about the owner of “Scout Dixon West,” I no longer wish to support this brand.
For an alternative to “Incarnate,” I recommend Vaniglia by Laborattivo Olfattivo

I’m a biochem major and I never even thought about how the BP of the oils can effect what you smell and how that even applies to the pyramid. I feel so stupid now cause that makes sm sense. I wanted to go into cosmetic chemistry, and the first 3 min made me even more interested in formulating perfumes

Ive described myself my whole life as having "smell colorblindness". Because i cannot recognise smells for the life of me. I can tell theyre there, but i cant tell what they are.
Theres nothing wrong with my nose... i feel like im just incapable to sort smells because i was never taught how to sort them. Kinda like how old texts describe the color of the sea as wine red? If you never learn orange exists, youre gonna call it yellow you know.
Channels like you help me discover a world of self expression i never knew existed. Thank you 🙏

My guess is that this is a long term memory problem (w only scents). Cause the way ur brain recognizes smells is through memory, if you’re unable to remember you won’t be able to tell

    • @ketwurst1831
      @ketwurst1831 Месяц назад +5

@@kyonaharris8239 interesting. Because I have the same "smell blindness" and I was wondering if it has something to do with it connecting smells to something and with kind of mindfulness/awareness.
I have the same problem with food. I can tell you if I like it or not, but I can't tell you if it's cherry or strawberry in the yogurt e.g. I was always told to just eat, don't question and just to do and just to follow what someone said. Now as a grownup I slowly start to explore and find out...also about fragrances 😊

Solid perfume would definitely be a lifesaver for me. I love the L’occitane Neroli & Orchidee perfume but it’s an eau de toilette and quite weak. Contrary to your recommendation (although you're correct), I sometimes spray on the front of my neck or the front of my upper body / décolleté - why? If I want to increase the enjoyment / perception of a scent for myself, but at the same time tone down how much people in my surrounding notice the fragrance, I find it convenient to do it this way.
But I have to admit, doing this with something like Cuir Beluga would send me on the shortest route to a shower.

This might be very specific but I really want a video about perfumes that smell like your hair smells when you get out of the shower. All the clean scents people talk about are always very green. I want to smell like Armani Prive Pivoine Suzhou, which smells like a shampoo a fairy would use. If that makes sense, clean but yummy, sweet, and fruity. I’m stuck in the inexperience Middle Eastern fragrance world. I mostly own Lattafa fragrances. The house has so many great fragrances. As far as I know, none of the fragrances I own are dupes.
If you like pineapple, I would recommend Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud Honor & Glory. It is an amazing fragrance. It is pineapple and spices.
It is a unisex scent that male and female fragrance reviewers love. I have received compliments when I’ve worn it.
If you decide to purchase it, let it macerate for at least a month. The first few sprays after it arrived were horrible. I couldn’t even tell that the scent was going to be wearable.🤢. After a month or more, I sprayed it and it was AMAZING!

The most important thing to know is that you should be considerate of other people. Just because you like a perfume doesn't mean that everyone wants to smell it from 10 miles away. People have allergies, scent triggered migraines, etc. You don't need to spray half the bottle on yourself.

@@perfumerism I actually have no idea. But I think it's muglers death that makes me worried for the brand that lives on maybe losing a lot of the creative vision that used to be behind it. And I also read on this fragrantica site I love to stalk loreal got involved instead of clarins and they have been messing with the formula altho I have no way to verify if it's just gossip. But if it's true that sounds like a loss of creativity and uniqueness and quality and a huge embrace to overpriced mass marketed big target audience type stuff to me. This seems to correspond with the friendlier more crowd pleasing sweeter smelling concoctions they have released recently. Altho that could be the nose being the formulation changing too? Idk I'm thinking of alien goddess now that reminded me of posh Palmers coconut hair dress and sunscreen 😂 I'm actually curious if you know if this is actually a real thing you probably know so much about this stuff!

Hi Emma, I have heard about Eccentric Molecules - M01 or M02, use one of these as a base to improve longevity of the perfume.
Wanted to ask your opinion about that ?

I use Molecule O1 with lighter fresher perfumes. Amazon has some cheaper alternatives of ISO E Super that works great. Oak City Beard Company has an extrait to parfum of ISO E Suoer for $27.

Wonder if makeup primer would work well also before applying the perfume? 🤔 Thank you for your knowledge and explaining. Could you do a review on cheap vanilla type perfumes and oils please? I just got the la rive vanilla touch yesterday after shower just used an og Nivea moisturizer doesn't smell pretty just clean but I sprayed the vanilla touch on and woke up still smelling vanilla caramel cookie😊 9euro for 90ml in the store so why not! I want to add more of these type of gourmand scents to my collection as I got really sick of those expensive designer ones that I just let sit on my shelve for years lol. I use use them in my bathroom handsoup container though 🤣 buy cheap handsoap and put quite a few sprays in and boom. Always some use in a way instead of throwing out 😊

So I've been a fraghead for quite a while now, and i know perfumes are not really meant to be sprayed in your armpits, but when i spray them in my armpits they last longer. And imo i think the perfume even smells more sweeter than what they're supposed to. Idk why but can anybody explain to me if the thing that im doing is correct

That was a great informative video and I almost didn’t watch it! I thought it was just going to be the typical longevity video - and you did cover that, but so much more. Thank you.

How I did it? I switched to Middle Eastern perfumes.
And two, I use my perfume bottles as decants, and I have travel atomizers in 8 ml for each fragrance that are bottom filling, I then pump them with 2 pumps of Ambroxan EDP, fill the rest with perfume, and the top notes linger for hours and hours.

How many sprays do you do in one spot? My skin just eats most fragrances. Also, I can’t remember if you like Burberry Goddess? But the new Lattafa Angham is such a nice dupe of it that lasts longer

    Thanks, that's really informative and all-in-one-place :)
I would like to know if applying on wrists change if I wear a watch? I guess that could iritate my skin underneath or cause more heat under the strap/bracelet, which changes how perfumes evaporate?

Thank you for sharing this video. I have learned very nice and useful information. But I am still confused about using perfume. Sometimes, even when I apply perfumes with high silage and longevity for 5 applications, I cannot get any feedback from those around me about the spread of the perfume. It definitely depends on skin type and mine is very dry.
