Crim is cringe AF I wish he would stop speaking, luckily he's less annoying when he's on the show. Still won't stopme from skipping his vids in mtggoldfish, even when hes playing the most interesting deck ive seen in years.
To answer Crim's question: In the early days of Battlebots (early 2000s), Bill Nye was the show's science correspondent showing all the internal workings of the machines and their plans to destroy the opposition. Nowadays, the technology is much more uniform, with organizations like Team Whyachi and SendCutSend manufacturing the parts out of tank-grade steel and sometimes even titanium for use on the robots.
Also, Olivia: The robots are by no ways small. They weigh at most 250 lbs, and if you robot can walk, it weights up to 500 lbs. There are separate events for smaller weight classes, such as 3lb and 12lb, but the normal weight for the Battlebots TV show is 250 lbs.
There was an ultra lite competition in San Francisco (Battlebots was hosted on Treasure island in SF) called Soz Bots. Bots would weigh 1lb or less. However, they also allowed flamethrowers and more dangerous weapons.

There are also smaller weight classes (as mentioned) that are pretty active around the world!
There are more than these but these are the most common! 3lbs and under are usually the most popular, for obvious reasons.
Fairyweight: 150g
Antweight: 1lbs
Beetleweight: 3lbs
Hobbyweight: 12lbs
Featherweight: 30lbs
Organizations like National Havoc Robotics League (NHRL) do competitions all over the USA (tho based in Norwalk, CT). These competitions are streamed on RUclips and you can find their previous events on their RUclips channel. They also make it extremely accessible to anyone looking to get involved!

Olivia being 4000% done with the Sméagol voice from minute one, which I imagine just incentivized the propagation from the rest of the table, was hilarious. Plus the payoff at 38:45, when she succumbed to the pressure of the precious made it even better. Camera zoom was fantastic 😂

I’m literally watching two episodes a day, this is one of the most enjoyable commander channels I’ve found
The best thing I’ve learned from watching Commander at Home is how good trample deathtouch is.
90 minutes of Derik and Crim being downright criminals while enabling the torture of Olivia. I loved it.
The boardstate was a bit confusing but I think Derik missed lethal. Bryan had 2 blockers, so swing with uro and both the 5/3 elementals, Bryan blocks Uro and one elemental, double the unblocked one to 10 damage
I mean, he did say math was for people who like math and that he was not someone who likes math.
I think you're right! But I can't blame him for missing the line after almost 2 hours. Though it would have been great to see one of them get Brian after all that lol

@@LazarusIsBackBabyCrim had multiple unblockables and flash creatures, so she knows that he would also go after her just as much as Brian. He didn't have as much power on board, but the effects would cripple her, and she wouldn't be able to deal with most of the attacks. It's a lose-lose, she even said so in the video.
Starteded watching out of habit not knowing who guests were, thrilled to see Crim, loved the early smeagol voices! Literally too many quotable moments in an epic game!
Something about the nut, Olivia's reactions to smeagol voices, Crim being Crim, Brian playing the same turn over and over...
If somehow you guys could upload more frequently, we all would love that, but also totally respect the work that takes for games that repeat Brian's turn multiple times while presenting a win.

Another fun fact about Olle Rade's invitational card, when he finally wanted to get one made, the design team insisted the art depict him with his long hair he had when he won instead of the short hair he currently had.
He had also actually submitted a design originally that was a world enchantment with no text, but it was rejected, which was part of the reason for the delay. I feel like Maro has told the story on his podcast on several occasions

Editor is amazingly skilled! I love how Eilidh Lonie zoomed in on Olivia after she says Cheaties lol at 38:48 when Crim forgot to discard to hand size . She did a simple mistake the turn prior after cyclonic Rift and forgot to discard down to seven. We all do it. Especially after your whole board gets bounced at the end of the turn. The edit was chief's kiss after she did the cute voice lol.
Watched this when I couldn’t sleep and my alarm suddenly became for 3 hours instead of 50 years. Thanks guys!
Best 3 turns that were basically the same turn I’ve ever seen 😂. Brian sounded more like Sméagol as the game went on.
Olivia asking Crim "Are you wiping?" at 33:46 completely derailed my brain. I missed that Crim just warned her to not play anything and I genuinely thought this was a bizarre bathroom question.

Olivia isn’t physically allowed to crew for the untap step to have her creatures untap. The untap step is not actually a step and you can’t take any actions during it, if you don’t believe me then check rule 502.4

In all seriousness, i really enjoy seeing the table be loose and silly like this. I have zero idea how the real interpersonal relationships are , but the table relationship in games like this one are immaculate. Yes the game was weird, yes people didn't even get to see everyone do their thing (sorry Derick and Olivia), but the table was laughing, cracking up at the absurdity of it all.
So thanks for the laughs today and another great episode. I hope you had as much fun playing it as i did watching it.
Ps- big shout out to Brian for the Smeagol voice and even getting Olivia to do it once which caused her to pause and actively reflect on life for a moment there. It was hilarious!

I loved this! A couple of months ago at Geeky Teas (my LGS), we had a Commander game that went for over 3 hours-- there were so many boardwipes. I don't even remember who won, but it was so much fun! Two of us were playing Demon decks, and we kept resurrecting the same creatures over and over again.

I love Olivias deck! But I would like to point out that while Drumbellower is a sick card (and was printed in a vehicle precon!) it is not a triggered ability (and thus doesn't use the stack), and there is no priority check during the upkeep to allow you to crew a vehicle before untap.
HUGE flavor fail of the card, but there is no way to untap your vehicles with Drumbellower with the way it is designed.
I've always enjoy your content, You all never cease to amaze and entertain me.
What a ridiculous and fun episode that I have finally found the time to enjoy! Also want to add that as the owner of one of only 2 Livaan/ Inspiring Leader decks on EDHREC, and the only one with a vehicle theme, I do have a deck with Hoard Hauler in it.

Hearing them call Slogurk "The Gurk" reminded me when I built Slogurk when it first came out. Me and my friends always called it "The Juice". I still say "Tap 3 for The Juice", even when I'm not playing it!
I love how at multiple times during the game if you just watch Olivia face, you can tell in her head she is actively trying to talk herself out of choosing violence. Especially during the Smeagol voice there were a few times she had look like if you don't stop I'm going beat you to death with one of those trophies.
Also Sheoldred, is totally rolling up in a blacked out Rolls Royce Phantom.
My favorite aspect of this show is the honest and genuine interactions caught on camera that make me laugh in real time

I did not think you could crew or do anything during the untap step since no one has priority. That means you should not get the untap from Drumbellower. Unless the rules have changed.

Actually, based on the new rules change regarding copying transforming permanents, see link below ( changes to rules 707.8A and 707.10G), I believe Olivia's Sheoldred car does have the back side and can transform with that ability
if it only flipped yes, the problem here is that it exiles first

I will say, having these on as background noise is super useful for when I'm trying to brew up my own commander deck just both on a noise to help me focus and being reminded of certain little gems existing. (Although it's turned making this Chatterfang deck into a two day process at this point)
