@@AZombieWizard He'd destroy at Archenemy. Commander is a balanced format and he still wins more often than not/ Archenemy would give him an insane advantage.
There is a reason for that, they are actually playing EDH the way the average player is, where Game Knights always seems so much more stiff, serious and sometimes it feels even scripted, even if it's not, they don't seem like friends playing EDH that's for sure.
None of us have EVER misplayed in commander (I say constantly forgetting my main commanders abilities) or missed anything on the board (again, always doing it)
In every episode, Kibler is like the nicest guy. He's always laughing and has great energy, helps others play optimally, never misrepresents his board, and even points out things he could potentially do for players not familiar with his cards.
Love how George talked Olivia out of stealing his turn and to go for Brian knowing he was going to living death and Olivia wouldn't be able to suicide Brian.

I mean honestly that was the worst Emrakul turn steal ever though. Brian basically time walked there by making every play on the turn that was "stolen" ans then for his actual turn. I've never had an Emrakul turn go that way. Must be nice. Olivia didn't even hurt his board at all...
Georg and Kibbler were both politicking hard the whole game (the Emrakul turn was also politicking). Jimmy did a little, but Georg started doing it like turn 2. It's subtle, but if you pay attention, you can see it.

This was the most endearing episode of commander at home yet: Olivia and Kibler made a deal successfully, and they were being all adorable and such with the head resting on the shoulder in between turns. Y'all are too cute, its gross lol.

I love the little Details like searching and shuffling the library in the enemy turn or jimmy remembering to discard a bit later. Not like a peefeclty played out game for the camera but just like we All would play it at home =) Thanks for not cutting these things out!
I legit thought Brian was wearing a Baseball shirt. Then he moved his arms and I was like, who are the Phyrexians? Then brain switched from sportsball to Magic mode and was like, THE PHYREXIANS YOU DOPE!
Olivia is killing me by not putting Basilisk Collar on Endbringer and just steadily attempting to ping out Brian's board. I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but would be such a fun play.
That is probably the most satisfying draw that I would ever witness. Everyone had something up their sleeve at some point and had their moment to shine. Love it

I love that Brian Kibler has gotten so into commander. He has always been a creative deck builder and it’s cool to see that manifest in commander. Seeing his pro decision making is so awesome.
I was fine with all of Olivia's misplays RIGHT up until she chose to take damage on evens. Everyone knows you take damage on an odd roll. That kind of blatant disregard for tradition is unacceptable.

I have him at home but the pre con didn't really jive for me. How do you keep enough blockers out? Any advice or even a decklist you have maybe? I know he's good just not sure how to build it

My advice is to not worry too much about blockers, try to seem non-threatening early on and just ramp and maybe get Henzie killed at least once. Once you have -2 or -3 cost to your creatures you can start blitzing them wholesale for value. Stalking Vengeance is usually how I kill players if not via combat.

I have a bit of a rules question, because I am unsure about the interaction. At 14:29 (ish) Jimmy makes a plains that was just put onto the battlefield into a creature and attacks with it. Isn't the creature affected by summoning sickness though? Thanks in advance for replying and clearing this up for me. :)

What gets me is honestly Brian's deck building is so far from what the template that everyone says it should be he barely ever has more than like 3 pieces of interaction in his deck lists he just plays so much gas and synergy. I love it honestly because he comes to either do the thing or lose trying.
I'm a new subscriber and love the show! Very chill and not too much production around it which makes it very fun to watch. Though I do think the xard previews disappear from the screen a little too quickly for me to read them. I know I could just pause the video, but that is a slightly less enjoyable watching experience

52:30 You don't have to obey timing restrictions with Hideaway abilities, otherwise some of them could never trigger or would be almost unplayable from Hideaway perspective anyway (like Rabble Rousing and Fight Rigging for example), you can play everything under them at Flash speed.
This show is excellent! (there, my youtube engagement responsibility has been satisfied. But wait, how can I refuse the temptation?) (pushes up glasses) I'm pretty sure George had the win that last turn, with just one additional step(maybe I'm wrong). If George doesn't activate the sundial, then the blitz triggers for inferno titan and the original craterhoof will go off. If he sacrifices the inferno titan first, then the riveteers ascendency can return the titan to play with the original craterhoofs blitz trigger. Olivia and Brian are at 1 and 2 life respectively, and the ETB from the titan can get split to finish them off with exactsies. But hey, the deal Olivia and Brian make to end the game is hilarious. Thanks for taking the time to read through this line of play, and once again, this show rules!

George had that game. All he needed to do was let his Inferno Titan die to the Blitz trigger, then the Crater Hoof. Riveteers Ascendancy could then bring back the Titan, which would have burned Olivia and Brian for lethal.
oooh there were about a million ways i couldve won haha, i think i couldve also just played one more creature. but at that point in time we were like 2h into the game and i didnt want to hog all time. I feel like this way, we had a way funnier ending :D
@GermanGaryOak oh no, I one hundred percent get it. Sometimes you're going through the motions a little bit when a game goes long and miss plays that you definitely would have made had they been available earlier in the game.

Kibler was so good at 1v1 magic that he needed to move formats so he could find somewhat of a challenge with 3v1 magic. Absolutely ridiculous lol

Though I do think the xard previews disappear from the screen a little too quickly for me to read them. I know I could just pause the video, but that is a slightly less enjoyable watching experience

As a long time Game Knights/Extra turns watcher, I have never thought how *fun* a player Jimmy is as in this episode (not that I usualyy don't think that, just this one hit diefferent. 52:30 You don't have to obey timing restrictions with Hideaway abilities, otherwise some of them could never trigger or would be almost unplayable from Hideaway perspective anyway (like Rabble Rousing and Fight Rigging for example), you can play everything under them at Flash speed.

I'm pretty sure George had the win that last turn, with just one additional step(maybe I'm wrong).
If George doesn't activate the sundial, then the blitz triggers for inferno titan and the original craterhoof will go off. If he sacrifices the inferno titan first, then the riveteers ascendency can return the titan to play with the original craterhoofs blitz trigger. Olivia and Brian are at 1 and 2 life respectively, and the ETB from the titan can get split to finish them off with exactsies. But hey, the deal Olivia and Brian make to end the game is hilarious.

George had that game. All he needed to do was let his Inferno Titan die to the Blitz trigger, then the Crater Hoof. Riveteers Ascendancy could then bring back the Titan, which would have burned Olivia and Brian for lethal.
oooh there were about a million ways i couldve won haha, i think i couldve also just played one more creature. but at that point in time we were like 2h into the game and i didnt want to hog all time. I feel like this way, we had a way funnier ending :D
@GermanGaryOak oh no, I one hundred percent get it. Sometimes you're going through the motions a little bit when a game goes long and miss plays that you definitely would have made had they been available earlier in the game.

So Obuun was my first commander deck and is still to this day my favorite. It's so much fun and I am so happy seeing someone play him
