Isleta Pueblo native here! My family has records and name going back 600 years in this area. We are the People of the Sun! Great video…thank you sharing.
Such incredible...and in so many ways, sad history...it's striking in its beautiful starkness. And it speaks to how in so many ways, we need to do better. Just amazing how it's been preserved.
I definitely learn with you more than in any class at school! :) Amazing places and a lot of history which is always nicer to understand when we travel! Also love that you always put the maps/earth so we know exactly the places, it's great to see how much you're growing in each video!
Great upload, very nice video and a beautiful historical site. I enjoyed listening to the information you gave us about this place. I would gladly pay the $7 to go inside this place👍🏻thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week🙂👍
I love historic sites like this. It is great that they found those ruins. It is an interesting look at the lives of the Kuaua Pueblo Indians. I would love to see the murals in that room. Hopefully we can make it out that way someday. Thanks for sharing this history with us!
Thanks for the tour to this place steeped with history and showing us the incredible views and amenities! A new subscriber! Greetings from Los Angeles, California!😊
That was an amazing Pueblo find with the kiva and the huge expanse of rooms found there. Coronado will probably always be the name, but you are right that it would make more sense for the focus of the name to be about the Pueblo Natives. You shared such great information.
This vlog is fun, You brought back nostalgia! I joined a community around vloggers sometime back. You can check if you're vlogging around the states of cali, mexico, nevada. Might just help with more ideas, connections.
Thanks! Great video. They should rename it; in spite of several visits (all the way from the Netherlands, Europe) to the area, I never went there, supposing it was about the man Coronado.
Recent scholarship of Coronado documents shows they were looking for a passage to Asia across the Pacific. The people who lived at Kuaua were Tiwa people.
Sadly when it comes to old native ruins, it seems they are often named something entirely inaccurate (or sometimes even insulting). Some even still using the name given by enemies. A shame. Loved this video though and the history/b-roll bit in the beginning! 😄

Looks like a place we’d enjoy visiting! Nice that they have tours and a visitor center. Great place to have a picnic lunch and relax. Thanks! 👌👍☀☀
It really is a pretty area, even more beautiful in the spring well that brush by the river turns green!
@@SwiftyTravels Nice! Won’t be long. 👌

It is sad. It just makes more sense to the viewer if they know the background and I’m enjoying the learning process!
Tell us, tell us who were the enemies?
