- With the introduction of the OPF in Europe the exhaust sound of new cars has become significantly quieter, with less personality.
Do not fear however, as we can fix this problem! This customer came to us wanting his F90 M5 to be a lot louder, so we fitted our Evolve Catless Downpipes and Remus OPF Delete. With no extra power wanted we fit modules to remove the limp mode error caused by removing the standard equipment.
Finally we add an Eventuri Intake to give a sharper throttle response, some intake sound and improving the engine bay look.

Do the 2019 comp models have the same exhaust as the 2022 lci models?
2022 LCI models seem to have a different connection between the downpipe and midpipe, but we have a similar solution available for them.
Local dealer has a used Marina Blue 2018 M5 non-comp, and damn I want. Yet maintennce costs scare so I am not sure why I am watching this as I'll only want it more by the time it is over.
When it comes time to change the air filters on a service, presumably they have to be ordered from yourselves, so a bit of forethought might be necessary? Nice noise, but I think I would need the quiet option as well just to keep the neighbours happy !!
The Eventuri filters can be cleaned, only need to be replaced if become damaged.
This setup is perhaps too full on for most, but OPF delete is a nice balance.
Hi, I was wondering how the opf deleters from leib worked when the hose for the opf sensors are not there (because they are mounted on the stock secondary cats) I have an M8 Competition and I was wondering if I can do the same and no engine light will come on

I have a CPO warranty 2019 m550i in the US. I recently installed the Remus full cat-back system. I was thinking of going for catless DPs but I didn’t want to tune the ecu and lose my warranty. Can you give more information on the wiring kit that stopped the check engine light please???

You would have some more power with this yes due to the restrictions being removed.
My pre-facelift F90 M5 (Non comp) had a lovely sound, lots of lovely pops and bangs in sports+, what a shame you now need to spend money to get the sound that lovely BMW V8 makes!

I have literally just been trying to figure out how I can get a comp, pre-opf, but I think they came in round Sept-18, so if there are any, they’re gold dust! I believe there was a second fuel filter added around 2020, which then meant M5 comps were REALLY quietened down (basically zero pops). What is the impact on MOT? What do you have to do to this car to now get it through an MOT?
No cats means no pass on the emissions test, you'd have to either swap the cats back in for the MOT or really get to know your MOT tester
Comp without OPF doesn't exist in Europe, because first Comp was released after the regulations. You can only get a pre-OPF standard M5. Pops and bangs doesn't exist on Comp models made after summer 2019, not sure if it was after June or July. If it has iDrive7 then I definitely does not have pops and bangs.
how are the cables that will take care of the check engine errors called ?

What if someone went without opf and dps, but chose extra resonators instead of keeping the opf?

Is this road legal in Europe? I dont think this can pass the ITV test in Spain or your MOT in uk…
Removing the OPF by itself makes the exhaust illegal already.
What clamps did you guys use? Does it come with them??
We use the BMW clamps to sleeve between the Remus and stock rear exhaust. They're well made and not too expensive.

Depends on the track too, as some seem to have ridiculous noise limits.... sadly.

Do you have any videos of exhausts with just a backbox change? So still ppf and cats in place. Looking to get a deeper v8 sound.
I’ll be honest we very rarely just rear box as they make very little difference to overall sound. The OPF is really muting the system, and just removing that gives a very good deep V8 sound without being too loud or droney.

I have a question if anyone can answer. The back of the exhaust was left stock, downpipes and mid pipes were changed to cat-less which results in more air flow coming out of the engine. Isn’t this a problem because the back of the exhaust has OPFs as well. Now if might not be the case for this pre face lift but I am asking because I have an M5 CS with 4k km only and I don’t want to do anything wrong and damage the car. Would really appreciate an honest answer
All the OPFs are in the midpipe, from there back it is just resonators and mufflers.

If I get cat-less downpipes on my stock M5 without any tuning, will it still run good? Or is a tune required once you go catless so it doesn’t run too lean or rich?
It will run fine, we wouldn’t carry this out for a customer if the end result was not acceptable to us.
The cars wideband lambda sensors continue to function, maintaining the AFR at a suitable mixture despite the loss of restriction.

does it have a strong fuel odor? that's what happened to me, since I straight-piped my V8. I am now waiting for 200 cell sport cats.
We are pretty acclimatised to fuel smell being around modified cars all the time. Some dislike the smell, others like it. Can't say it's something we ever notice.
@@EvolveAutomotive my girlfriend gets slight headaches when we go out, especially with the roof down on a hot day. To anyone not being around petrol fumes all day long, the odour is noticeable.
Then this is something you need to factor in, each persons usage and requirements is individual to themselves.

Mine is a 2018 Akra and it’s loud. I have the evolve downpipes sat in my garage and honestly not sure if I should fit them.
Surely you need a map to make it worth the cost.

@@rockyrobin24 you need to delete the o2 sensor with some expensive deletes (you don’t need a map to remove the opf/gpf and secondary cats) you do need a map to remove the primary . My point is that just removing the cats is a bit pointless, you do get a gain but you get a smell because it runs really rich. I map reduces that smell and you gain big time on power.

Costs roughly £1500 to fit the the Downpipes and add the stage 2 tune, if you went the evolve route properly £500 to get them fitted and £1600 for the remote tune, unless you went to evolve in which case I think it costs more.

Update... This is a joke how many filter /boxes /opf things are in 2022 m5 absolutely disgusting, my systems totally different to this, it's got 6 cats / filters in + oxy 2 sensor maybe?😔 Not happy with thr sound at all
On this car it has - 2 cats per downpipe, then 2 OPF filters, then 2 resonator boxes, and finally the rear box.

Does anyone know exactly what month the 2019 OPF came about? I heard its somewhere around April - june. Can't quite remember.
I'm sure 18/68 is safe. Depending on the exact month..some 2019 may be safe too

You would see some form of increase yes, but what we mean is nothing has been done for the pure reason of power, it is all an added bonus.

I usually love Evolve and Eventuri products but that exhaust does not sound good.
With new noise regs coming this will be outlawed from day one, way too loud.
Decat is already illegal, but people still do it. I guess you just have to be careful around police lol

I'm sorry but without the resonators it sounds like ass. I have catless primary and secondary downpipes and stock Comp resonator and mufflers and it's perfect. I can imagine the drone on this set up lol.
Unfortunately on EU models you cannot do just downpipes as this will cause damage to the OPF over time.
No drone on this setup, the car is incredibly well insulated and changes gear to stop loading in low RPM

You could do yes, but most people choose the delete centre section.
@@EvolveAutomotive Oh ok I see, I have a video on my channel of what my car sounds like with stock, U.S spec, rear exhaust and downpipes. It's the rasp that I don't like without the resonator but thats all personal preference.
