Steve, can you develop a product to increase to torque on the S65 engine and also for persons who would like to turbocharge their S65 engines. Thank you both for this great video
Hey @wayne you should see their supercharged m3 with the S65 , that something you might want to look at if you are trying to develop more torque and power. ruclips.net/video/97NxcBL4OTQ/видео.html
A lot of work in development a product like this for sure. Good job! One criticize on the engine builders. After installation on any of the connection rods, don't rotate the crankshaft, before torquing to specification the conrod bolts.
I’ll be sure to pass it on, but before I do, how many F1 engines have you built for competition use? I just want to be able to back up your advice to an ex-Mercedes F1 engine builder.
Hi very good video and if it possible you show how to torgue connection rods and main bearings because I'm working on s63 engine to on 74000k miles problem with rod bearing
On evolve, it says the rods are rated at 1200hp and 1400nm. Is this at the crank? Up to what percentage of of 1200hp limit is considered safe for a car to be tuned to from a engine tuner's perspective?
The rod is rated to 1400nm at the crank. This is what Arrow will guarantee the rod can take. Multiple cars have been tuned to over 1000hp with this setup.
So it used to be the case the clutch would blow first and now it's the rods. So if you've boosted the turbo and replaced the rods. Does this then not mean that if you fix the rods, will you then be waiting to see the next part that blows after the rods?
Technically you are correct but that isn’t the full story. As you increase power you find what fails, uprate those parts and then the next weakest link will fail as you continue to increase power. All part of development. With the MV1400 rods the engine assembly is now very strong. With cars making upwards of 1100hp so far. Remember these engine components are manufactured to meet OE level reliability at ~630hp, so nearly doubling that power output will invariably find some parts that are well past their design limit. But for anyone who is chasing more and more power this is something that is part of the game. What we have presented here is a reliable way to max out the stock turbo and make a 9.7s 1/4 mile pass over and over again. With a larger turbo 1000hp is a very achievable goal. Ultimately it is all about what your end goal is, feel free to contact us on sales@evolveautomotive.com for more information.

We haven’t done an S58 yet, so can’t say. You’ll need to do similar modifications to the engine, and the ZF8 in the G8X M3/M4 needs building to withstand 1000hp where the one in the F90 M5 does not, so that’s an additional cost.
