@@letmeknow4167 That's great, I'm gonna do it then. Turbo whistle seems to get a lot more prominent with a secondary cat delete, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Does the car still sound civilized in efficient mode with the valves closed?
Hard to tell without a before an after but you know your stuff so I take your word that it made a nice difference. I too will probably go this route and just change out the tips. The OEMs ones leave a lot to be desired. My G80 had better tips.
@@TommyLGarage oh ok. I think after '21 BMW made some exhaust changes. I ran into another M5 owner, he had a '23 with catless downpipes, and it sounded exactly like mine stock. He said with the stock downpipes, it was quiet. The European models are even worse.
As of now I am running Akrapovic full exhaust on my M5. I heard you mention that the secondary down pipes is not worth it. What about replacing the primary ones? Would that give me more turbo whistle?
Thanks for doing this in parts. Although it is much more work, you get to appreciate each mod.
That’s the idea. Thanks for watching!
I'm not even interested in getting an M5 but your content is always so Gold that I just enjoy watching
Thanks!!!
As usual quality clip from you! Makes me want to get M5 to daily 👍🏻
It’s an amazing daily
This lift is a whole new level!
Makes things easy for sure
Yea buddy!
Yeaaaaa!
Honestly don’t even think you need to do anything more🙌🏻
I will try without the mufflers but might not keep it
Sounds great! Pleasure meeting you at EWR today!
What a small world!! Really nice meeting you as well and thanks for coming over !
Man the mid pipes really do make the car sounds aggressive but not loud I like it I mid pipe my Lexus few months bk and best thing I ever did
Midpipe is the best mature exhaust mod!
Tommy it sounds amazing! I’m so happy you are back with your DYI videos! Shout out to Kies! Hope all is well! Next mod🤔🤔🤔 intakes ahaha
Maybe eventuri!
Good vid, I imagine it is better than the original
It’s better for sure. Could be louder
Is this with the M performance exhaust option? Sounds perfect
Nice content...subd for the porsche and M5 ❤
Welcome to the club!!!!
I have mid pipe with secondary catless on my f90 and there is no smell. If u want a bit of whistle i highly recommend the 2ndary delete
Ordered it. Thanks!
Any drone with your setup? I'm getting a x-pipe next week and I'm considering getting a secondary cat delete next year.
@wuzumaki no drone u get more exhaust noise in cabin. It is a setup that should've came from factory without active sound

@wuzumaki yep very civilized. It's not obnoxious loud. Only loud when u go wot
Opinion Needs downpipes maybe not catless but needs it trust me u won’t regret it
Will consider catted

So I heard downpipes drone. I don’t want to deal with it.
@@TommyLGarage
My dps don’t. Removing the resonator will cause drone.
Great video Tommy🙂... Was there any drone inside the car when driving, with only the midpipe installed?
Zero drone. It was great.
I'm confused. What year is your m5 competition, because that's how my stock '20 M5c sounds.
2023. I’m glad you have a nice sounding car.

Just to be clear, this is the down pipe only? Link has the full AWE exhaust.
No. This is the midpipe only. Some do call it downpipe
@@TommyLGarage thank you. Love your content. I’m a fellow F90 owner too. Dream car.
midpipe = midpipe. The downpipe still has the stock cats.

I want to keep the warranty intact
I need custom mudflaps for BMW x5m
Email me!! Got6speed @ gmail
I dont think you should add any mufler parts, the car sound just perfect now.
I kind of agree
Since that resonator has no sensors or electronics connected, I wonder would this mod not void the ole warranty?
Definitely will not void
How does the Dinan X-pipe compare in the sound dept?
It gives you a deeper tone
Curious how long it took for the cutter to get through the pipe? Thanks!
Two minutes
If you take out the backbox would that be legal?
Yes :)
6:15 metal gear solid death sound
Haha
how can I get my f90 to pop and bang like that on the decel? Is it a tune?
Competition has this stock. Otherwise you’ll have to tune
@@TommyLGarage That's what I was thinking, Thanks. Looks like it's about time to upgrade to a competition model!
