Bought it. Love it! Came from the iPhone and yeah they are great minus the walled garden they have. In my case and preference between the two, LOVE the pixel! Feels more friendly and I think looks nicer. Everything I miss from the apple ecosystem, Google's one is just as nice and very similar so it's perfect for me. Plus Google being available on every device was a HUGE plus for my work life
I am using pixel 6a. It is also getting better. The battery lasts longer, charges faster and heating issues are gone. No lagging at all. But, there is still some signal issue when changing from one sim to another.

tensor has serious performance problems just like exynos chips, on paper the gpu in tg3 is much more powerful than the gpu found in the sd865 which could run gengin impact fairly good. Along with the cpu being miles ahead. So theres clearly something else going on here apart from the notion tensor chips are not made for gaming.
Tensor G3 is much capable of gaming, google is the one that tells everyone its not and scams everyone...G3 is limited by google to avoid thermal issues but some guy managed to uncap it with a kernel and its powerful. Even the memory says its UFS 4.0
How does the really low pulse width modulation feel/effect the experience? Even though the refresh rate is higher, the actual flicker rate is apparently higher too.
I got the Pixel 8 for Christmas and I love it. I'm coming from the Samsung 23 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I'm happy with the smaller phone as the sizes of these phone are so ridiculous.
I have an iPhone 13 Pro and a Z Flip 5. Do you use Google Assistant? If so, is it better on your Pixel than your S23? I ask because GA is not great on my Z compared to Siri on my iPhone; it's slow, doesn't always respond, and won't always read aloud the results.
How's the phone's heating/overheating and battery drain when doing video calls for 40 minutes or longer? This was a huge problem for me with Pixel 6 when first released aside from the systemic warm-to-the-touch feeling simply from web browsing
Never has any thermal issues with my 7, I have no idea what folk are doing with their pixels. In fact the 4xl was the only pixel that did shut dowm through thermals.

I think I have a lemon. My 8 burns through battery. It's 8 am with minimal use I'm down to 65% and it s hot. I'm going to contact Google Store where I bought and see if they will replace.
S23 for me. S23 has been well optimized this year and i’m confident with using this smartphone on the long term with good performance . Most of Pixel features about Audio and Text are not available outside of USA. Also i prefer OneUi.
@@TeamVRY yes but living in Europe, i have fear about rumours with Exynos for S24 ans S24+, Snapdragon only for S24 Ultra. Also, those Pixel sound like Pixel beta because a new chip made by TSMC will come in 2025 if rumors are true. It's annoying.
@@JoeltheG Personally, I really like the design of the Pixel 8. Moreover, its the camera, I’ve heard good things about it and I find that iPhones camera over process the images. For my liking I prefer the photos coming out of the Pixel’s camera. Also, the system is so clean, I love that I have more options to customise my device. To be honest Android became so good especially on the Pixel devices that I am confidently using my Pixel without feeling like I am missing out on something comparing to my iPhone which I still have and I use both devices. The Pixel is just a really nice phone to use in overall. :)
@@JoeltheG same reasons as @mariopapai2903 stated but I was also getting bored of the iPhone experience. There were features that I wanted to use like split screen and a "clear all" tab to close out all open apps at once instead of swiping up for 10 plus apps every time. There are other features that I have come to appreciate like, changing my keyboard, changing how notifications operate, the flexibility to tweak what I don't like, ect. I have everything apple (MacBook, iPad, watch, air pods) but after seeing the pixel 8 and how refined it is, I wanted to check it out. I also was not impressed with the iPhone 15s considering after comparing my iPhone 13 to the 15, I really didn't see a benefit in upgrading(also the 60hz screen on the 15s and slow USB-c charging didn't help considering they're like 800 bucks). Apple is a good brand, but I feel like they're settling, where as Pixel is making moves to improve. Over all, I've been very happy with my experience that the pixel has to offer and I personally think that it a good deal with what it offers.
Great vidéo! I can see you tested different Pixel 8 colours (your previous video was with a black version and on this one it is an hazel version): which is your favorite colour? Thx
I was strictly an iPhone user since the 2g this year with the 15 line up I was bored so I went over to #teampixel. I got the pixel 8 pro pixel watch 2 and pixel buds pro and I love it. Yes the watxh is slow compared to apple but I still love it. The P8P is amazing I love everything about this phone and I haven't thought of going back to apple at all
I have used Pixel 3a, 6a and iPhone 13 Pro. So here's my feedback for someone who is confused between Pixels and iPhones. Pixel 3a was a gold rated phone except for the Performance. After moving to 6a i found the phone to be considerably fast, but not as much as any of the iPhones. However this was my first impression. After using it for a few weeks, i noticed more issues. 6a gets warmer(not hot) every time i use it, video cannot be recorded for more than 5 mins at 30 degree celsius weather. On summer days, after clicking some photos itself phone starts to show over heated warning. Portrait mode is not as good as how it was in my 3a. Edge detection fails most time and its not as good as iPhone now. Again, it doesnt blur the image properly, sometimes half of my image is blurred not the subject itself. Astro mode in Camera never turns on. Shutter speed is quite fast that image quality is compromised compared to my 3a. Overall i would say, 3a had a far better camera than 6a. Apart from this, Then finger print doesn't work most of the time on Pixel 6a. In display finger print on the Pixel 8 is also not ultrasonic and hence not as fast as flagships. Overall i would say, quality of Pixels has degraded much after switching to Tensor. I wouldn't recommend it any more. Now coming to iPhone, when compared to Pixel, you get better video quality, a good camera system overall, better micro phone and speakers, better UI/UX, better ecosystem, Offline AI and Albums,Face ID that works in night too, better resale value. Overall iPhone is a better value for money compared to Pixel 8 i can say. You may still go for Pixel if you are getting it at a much cheaper Price compared to iPhone 15.
Only problem I have with Pixel devices 6-8Pro is the Tensor chip is a bad chip. Google Pixel is a Samsung made beta phone being passed off as a suitable premium iPhone alternative.
Yea but if the modem still sucks it's not worth the upgrade. Biggest issue on my 6 pro and I hear that the 8 pro is not any better but could actually be worse. I want to upgrade really bad but if the phone calls are not any better I'll wait and hope they fix it in the 9
I love this but I can't decide whether or not to use my Pixel 5 as a trade in or not. I adore that phone to no end! I might just keep it and buy this 8 out right instead.

It’s the heating. The chip gets throttle once it gets hot and slow down performance to cool down. The thermal design is important too.

HUUUGE jump in quality with the ultraHDR! Didnt even know about that feature
