In this video I show how batteries works in Pacific Drive. Covers what drains battery power, how to recharge it and some of the upgrades that are useful.
Another good source of power generation is the wind turbine. Because when you are driving it generates a small amount of power dependent on how fast you drive. Summery: wind turbines good for sustaining you on long drives.
Side rack: Fuel Synth , Wind Turbine , Solar Panel and Hydro generator Backseat: leak-proof fuel tank and high-cap battery (not unlocked leak-proof battery yet) Roof: XL storage + Gas reservoir I use the rear storage for all the utility and essentials. Anything I should change to be more efficient? I use lim-chip engine, not sure if I need all the passive battery, maybe a 2nd fuel synth instead of a solar panel?
HELP dude a sign popped up saying oxidized but I can't seal the battery it won't even try even though it's draining constantly what the fuck?? I've taken off the side battery nothing is working and it's acting like it ain't broke :(
I left the engine on thinking it would charge the battery. Nope 😂 Also was surprised that running the battery out doesnt stop you from igniting the engine.
I originally thought you had to clamp it to a wreck or one of those ARDA towers. Especially as they look like jumper cables. Mini turbines are on now though ⚡ @@caracal3892
0:19 Well, yes and no. The game is weird when it comes to battery usage. In real cars, batteries only come in when the alternator can't draw all the power it needs to feed lights, defroster, wipers and turn the engine on. Apart from when the engine is off, any utilities you use (radio/lights) will drain off the battery, since it's the only source of energy at the time. Batteries aren't exclusively used for lights, nor they are the only and single source of energy.
I think it's a scale of the total possible amount of capacity the car can have (with all battery upgrades). Because if you zoom in the top end of the scale says 90 and the low end says 30 I think. When I play with upgraded batteries and have for example 85 total capacity, that bar is bigger.
@@caracal3892 thanks, at least that's something I didn't get any battery upgrades yet, so I always thought that those bars are the current battery charge and never paid attention to the numbers
if you use your deductive reasoning and look at the rest of the symbols around it. what does it look like to you? i know i know it's redundant and it's not needed. but it's the battery charge. (and carnacal is correct. just like your armor value. it's showing your current charge and max capacity. and all the unlit bits is what you could have if it's fully upgraded)
the green number below it? i think you might want to get tested for color blindness. the abilities to the left of it. that's green. the number below your current charge is yellow. (not a pure yellow but a dull yellow. like 85% yellow 5% olive. and 10% grey)
The main battery can not be changed. You can however unlock various other extra batteries that can fit on exterior racks on on the rear seats if there is a rack installed
I run a side mounted battery and two side mounted hydro rechargers…although i may replace one with the solar panel like you showed just to cover more situations.

That’s all I use now.I have two in my setup and rarely get into trouble.Still keep a few charges in storage but never had to use them.

You can hold C to examine an item and it will display the defect and an explanation of how to fix

It should be that if the battery is dead you have to use a charging kit.

The best part is when you get angry over the bunny enemies who attach to the car. Then you get out, grab it and angrily throw it away.

I think you have to access the square-shaped screen on the left, then assign a slot to it. Not sure how it works on a gamepad.

The Wind Turbine seems to charge quite well, even just from driving fast
