    I always wondered what a remnant ghost was. I played this game for over 30 hours, completed the entire story and almost fully upgraded every last piece of the car and garage, I haven’t died a single time…
    I even tried to play riskier and I came out of it with even more health and less car damage when farming in the deep zones

      @ATribeCalledCars  10 месяцев назад +3

      It is easy to overlook it and by the time you reach the Deep Zone the story is nearly done and you can blitz to the finish. I am wondering if the game was made a little easier near launch.

    Could you possibly do a video explaining the quirk system, how the diagnosis system works, and quirks you’ve encountered? Thanks for the tips!

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  10 месяцев назад +5

      To be honest, it's mostly trial and error each time you come back from a run. I have about six quirks that I have not bothered fixing. The upgrade that lets you use Stable Energy to get clues is worth it and gives you a reason again to collect it. Use it two or three times then guess the rest. Voila.

    • @KniGhTKrawLeR9
      @KniGhTKrawLeR9 9 месяцев назад +3

      Additionally, if you have a really bothersome quirk, I would recommend simply taking the car for a quick spin on the tiny test track behind Oppy's garage to see if you can replicate its conditions without the added pressure of being out in the zone and vulnerable to anomaly dickery.
      The Quirk solving system follows a very rudimentary "If This, Then That" style of identification, so you'd need to do things with the car or put it in certain positions to see if the quirk "answers" what you've done.
      Putting the car in park might cause your trunk to open or driving downhill might cause your dome light to turn on. Your hood might pop open whenever you're low on battery. Things like that.
      You can get upgrades to help you by giving clues which parts of the car are affected by a quirk in what way, but blind diagnosis can be part of the fun too.

    Also with the upgraded tools like the plasma scrapper you get more items harvested.

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  10 месяцев назад +9

      I did wonder about this, the Magnetic Hammer definitely gets more plasma.

    • @ERBanmech
      @ERBanmech 10 месяцев назад +6

      Wish I had known that, I usually just go with the normal scrapper since plasma can be hard to come by and I’d rather not waste my magnetic hammer uses on plasma casing. Now though, I’ll definitely use upgraded parts since it gathers more resources.

    The Jump Jacks, Nitro Boost and LIM shield deserve to be on every list. I've lost count of how many times those three items, either separately or working in concert, have all gotten me out of (often literally) sticky situations in the zone. They are must haves.

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  9 месяцев назад

      Why the Jump Jacks? I can understand Nitro Boost for hills and the LIM Shield got general protection.

    • @masterbasher9542
      @masterbasher9542 8 месяцев назад +1

      Jump Jacks can be vital in dodging a minor obstacle in front of you. So it is a worthwhile investment.
      The only caveat being, to be mindful on not using the jump feature too much, as it can be quite battery intensive on usage.

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@masterbasher9542 I usually just drive round the obstacle. I still think those slots are better spent but then it does depend on play style.

    • @KniGhTKrawLeR9
      @KniGhTKrawLeR9 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ATribeCalledCars Often, when speeding up or down a hilly incline to outrun a storm, you don't really have the maneuverability to effectively steer around fallen trees, rocks and other obstacles in your path. sometimes the car will just get stuck wedged against them and require you to get out and manually teleport it to somewhere more tenable for continued driving. But the jump jacks have often allowed me to just vault right over the obstacles in my way and keep going. It's a lot of fun once you know when and how to use it. Especially when you have the nitro to build up momentum and the LIM shield to negate much of the damage from launching and hopping around. They're all great to have in those crucial moments during an escape.

      @@KniGhTKrawLeR9 I have to say I'd generally agree that it seems less useful than alternatives, but with the AMP engine in particular I could see it being quite valuable depending on how much speed is lost on landing. The AMP engine eats power during acceleration, but sips it during full-speed cruising, so if you could hop clean over things like trees without losing significant speed it could result in pretty large net energy savings. Then again, it'd mean giving up a backseat battery, so not sure if the pros would outweigh the cons there.
      (especially since the AMP generally requires you use your side-mounts for energy generation anyway and, personally, I always rock 2 lightning rods on the foremost hardpoints, which lets you completely ignore all arcing lightning for all intents and purposes. This however does, obviously, eat two of your four sidemounts. I'd say it's easily worth it for being able to casually cruise through wriggling wrecks and such, but it is quite limiting none the less.)

    I almost never use the liberator, but the blowtorch is amazing. I need to get the junction bypass and re-stabilizer, it would make things a bit easier. The Lazarus device seems OP, but I haven't had a failed run, so it seems un-necessary at this point.

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  9 месяцев назад +1

      I think the Blowtorch is more useful, especially towards the end when you can craft everything you need. Liberator is more for earlier days or maybe those who like to salvage parts on a run! I suspect old Lazzy is broken or something else is not working correctly, but if you have not had a failed run you should all good. Good luck out there!

    You don't actually need anything else but armored doors & panels, off-road wheels, a turbocharged engine, a big trunk, enough gas and a big battery to win the game. The only actually useful upgrades are the LIM Shield and the Resource Radar. Everything else is little more than decoration. Exploration gets pretty boring after a while, when you discover that every building hides the same few resources, and it's not actually worth breaking into them. It's more than enough to visit only research bases, for chemicals and pressured containers. I never unlocked half of the tech trees, and what I unlocked was fairly useless.

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  10 месяцев назад
