    Face the supernatural dangers of the Olympic Exclusion Zone with a car as your only lifeline in this driving survival adventure! Scavenge resources, load up your trusty station wagon and drive like hell to make it through alive.
    This video showcases all four different engines available for crafting in the Pacific Drive game.
    I compared each engine on the same road (Highway to B1), with slightly varied conditions. Due to the changing anomalies and weather each time a junction is reloaded, the conditions differ slightly. All engines are tested under the same setup, with All-terrain tires mounted. The engines are presented in the order they appear on the workbench.
    00:00 Intro
    00:39 Carbureted Engine
    04:30 Turbolight Engine
    08:09 Amp Engine
    11:25 Lim-Chipped Engine
    14:23 Summary & Outro
    In summary, a carbureted engine is the slowest but has the lowest fuel consumption, Amp and Turbolight offer similar acceleration and speed, but Turbolight uses fuel while Amp relies on battery power. Lim-chipped takes the lead with superior acceleration, top speed, and durability. While both Amp & Turbolight offer solid performance, Lim-chipped is the real speed demon ;)
    P.S. In Summary & Outro, I made a mistake writing that the Lim-chipped engine has the lowest fuel consumption, it's actually the highest fuel consumption. Thanks to the comments, I realized what I did and I changed the description. Thanks, lads :)

    Uhm the desciption says that the carburetor engine has 18MPG , the Turbolight 14MPG and the LIM-chipped one 9MPG, this would make the carburetor engine the best efficient option not the least... right?

    What boggles my mind, is that they have an upgrade which converts electricity into fuel, despite fuel being such an abundant resource in the game you can find practically anywhere, with how many abandoned cars and fuel tanks there are.
    Yet they add an electrical engine with high electrical costs, and almost no way to convert anything into electricity except for very minor things like the wind or hydro turbine, requiring you to lose cargo space, and other things in order to keep it going, and didn't give any gas to electrical converter, which we already have, and was a technology back in the 80's.

    • @UGC_MateM8
      @UGC_MateM8  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, that's some of the game's flaws. But I don't think that is too much of a game-breaker, if you really want to use the AMP engine you need to sacrifice something else and that's how it works for now. I hope that in future updates they will add more content and rebalance some things a bit.

    • @NotSoEplc
      @NotSoEplc Месяц назад +1

      I agree and disagree. Especially in the mid and end zone, there is pretty much, always wind, which means the turbine will always be rotating and does for me. And on top of that, if you are traveling faster than 60mph, the turbine generates MORE power than you use(even with lights on). AMP engine is my go-to. 2 batteries in the back seats, a turbine and a solar panel, and I never drop below 140 power, unless I use abilities back to back to back, in which case I still will easily generate the power back.
      For trips dedicated to LOTS of supplies, I will put on side storage. But if I am going to the deep zone, or Northern midzone, it is typically only for a few, rarer resources. So I put on the hydro converter, lightning rod(which never gets used LOL), solar, and turbine. Which keeps me MAXED out on power, the entire time.
      It's power consumption is a non-factor when you include its instant torque, fast acceleration, and OP power regeneration options. There is even a tech that lets you convert anchor energy into shit tons of power.

    • @UGC_MateM8
      @UGC_MateM8  Месяц назад

      @@NotSoEplcI rarely used AMP engine, just for testing, because again, fuel is much easier to manage, and you don't need to sacrifice so many slots for items that generates power, take a look at any a.r.d.a. drop hunting video you'll see how with 170 power and Ion shield which eats the battery I'm still grabbing all 3 drops on any map there. just lots of plasma chargers and anchor energy converter and you're good to go lol

It might be doable with the anchor energy converter but i just wish they added some sort of fuel to energy converter that could go in the backseat or something. The amp engine is simply not worth it but maybe some updates in the future could change that

      I've been running the amp engine for a lil while now. 2 wind, water, and lightning rod on the sides. 2 high cap batteries in the back seats. For the most part, I can make it into the deep zone with little worry about the battery. Plenty of stops for lim and resources along the way, as well as resource radar and Lim shield use. Its when the rare calm, sunny day hits when i start to struggle a touch towards the end of a drive and will have to burn about a third of a plasma charger, or a couple jumpers to fill her up most of the way.

      Also, the best scenario for those turbines are in storms and when driving at a consistent, high speed. When the gauge on the left side of your fuel dial is low, the engine doesnt pull a lot of power, in case you didny know. Basically the higher the RPM/speed is, the less drain on your battery, which also means more charge from the turbines

    I prefer the turbolight engine but I want to figure out a way to make the amp engine work well. My idea is 3 wind turbines and an anchor energy converter since you don’t need anchor energy as much when you’ve gotten most of the tech tree done.
    My current setup is the turbolight engine, 2 wind turbines, a side storage for easy access repair supplies, and a fuel synthesizer. Then I run a suite of protection equipment since my battery lasts so long with the ion shield and LIM shield, allowing my car to even sit in the storm for a while without accruing damage, makes getting ARDA drop pods really easy and low risk.

    • @UGC_MateM8
      @UGC_MateM8  3 месяца назад +1

      Nice setup, I see you didn't unlocked backseat space yet? once you put there 2 big batteries you can do much more if you want to play on battery usage rather than the fuel. It's hard to make setup that works with AMP engine and to charge the battery because all 4 additions that we can add on the side racks are for 4 different weathers.
      And while traveling through the junctions weather and time of day are always changing, optimal would be to add 1 of each on each side rack and then with adding batteries bring your battery power how much you need.
      I think maximum battery power is 290Kw if you put all 4 side and both backseat batteries, so there is a lot of options. I see now that I need to test that engine properly 😀

    • @ERBanmech
      @ERBanmech 3 месяца назад +2

      @@UGC_MateM8 ah my bad I didn’t mention my back seat stuff, I usually see that as a formality since you usually do fuel tanks for gas engines and batteries for electric. I do one of each XL reserves so I have plenty of run time for my abilities while still having a good amount of fuel for the engine.
      Yeah I’d go double battery for the amp engine, it’s just getting the Olympium fragments for LIM chips and upgrades that’s holding me back currently from progressing towards that end since I need LIM chips to build the anchor converter.
      For power generation the most reliable I’ve found is the turbines since those trigger while traveling at speed as well as when it’s windy or storming while also producing decent extra power. I just wish the solar panels were more powerful since 0.035 energy a second is absolutely weak compared to other generation options especially when sunny conditions aren’t always guaranteed.

      @UGC_MateM8  3 месяца назад

Roof I almost always have floodlights + something else and i started using lim chipped engine. Now when I go to farm olympium I'm flying as fast as I can to get there and I farm just that, and some other things that are directly on the way, not losing fuel or power to wonder around or farm all along the way.
