You can stay at the helipad for transfer! Just a small tip 1. Stay close to heli 2. Open inventory TAB 3. Drag supplies from crate to heli icon 4. Check amount 5. Done! You don't have to go back to the command tent. I broke a rotor that way, Hehe I love doing heli supply runs, they open up huge amounts of different strategic operations
They shoukd really increase the amount of supplies a soldier can carry. One of my favorite mechanics in DayZ is that you can carry almost anything in your hands slot, Bohemia should really put that into reforger. There's been a bunch of times that would've been really helpful for me. And in this case it would let you carry 5 supplies in the back pack and then another 5 supplies in your hands slot
@@MrShoe321 You can actually fit 20 supplies into that backpack. You have to keep dragging them in increments of 5. Then they’ll make a stack of 20 but still very much inefficient.
Found out the hard way of why you shouldn't drag out the supplies via the menu. The second I did it spawned the crate IN the rotors, you can basically just assume what happened after that...
The game needs to sort out transferring supplies mechanics for console. Its basically all designed around mouse and keyboard input and is tedious. A good start would be an ability to increase quantity of items before transferring from say supply box to backpack or vehicle.
The light vehicle maintenance point is a game changer for unloading supplies, I'll keep that in mind!

most severs will despawn ur truck after it sits around for 10 or so mins

You can. After selecting from A button use Y to select when you need to transfer supplies and press A for confirmation
