I love her performance in Inglourious Basterds. Yes the role was a beautiful actress but it was also a pretty sophisticated character.
Oh my god, I'll cry, she's so right so right that they won't let you be a subject after being seen as just an object
My mom was striking. I looked like a little Italian street urchin. Guess what? We both turned out to be smart freaking women!
I like what she said and how she said it. And she is beautiful.
Massive Respect 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Beautiful and smart. Love her.
What Diane mentioned at the end about modelling is what hasn't sat right with me about the profession. You are told you are beautiful by enough people, and you buy into that hype. Then choosing to use those god-given looks to find success in the world rather than learning and perfecting a craft is really reductive and selling yourself short, is it not?
Well maybe Norman is helping her overcome that. Love is the most powerful force in the metaphysical universe, after all.
Her last little comment about "it should not be the path to your world" The sitting vice president tho... 😂
This is so fascinating because (I mean it's seemingly obvious but also not) - I hear so many models echo the same sentiment. Like Emrata said she thought she was empowered but wasn't as a model. Always wondered what models' thought process was
it's amazing how well she speaks English, to the point that unless you had a good ear for accents, you probably couldn't even tell that she wasn't American.
I mean, she could walk into any shop in the USA and fool the average Yank.
No, she's obviously not a native English speaker.
If you're German - I am, but I don't know if you are - you can clearly hear it sometimes. Most of us Germans are having a hard time getting our tongue around the pronunciation of several words. Especially words starting with a "w", the general pronunciation of a "th" (sounding slightly like "f) or a "c" (often pronounced strongly, more like a German "k").
wemartin12 that is your region? I’m interested in knowing your accent.
I can't do accents like Diane does but I can mimic damned near anybody at karaoke. I wonder if there's a name for that?
On the flip side, there were other reviewers at the time saying she wasn’t pretty enough to be Helen of Troy. A lot of people have some incredibly unrealistic expectations when it comes to beauty.
She is so smart! ❤️❤️
She is pretty but what is this all about? I would never describe her as beautiful.
She's striking like my mom was. My mom was half German on her maternal side.
Shes average at best
"when the package is this pretty no-one cares what´s inside." -the great joey tribbiani.
Damn I am glad to be a fat little Italian nonna type (even though I never had kids of my own).
still beautiful
Goddamn, I like her.
Who is she?
She has such sad eyes.
I want to give her a big ol' hug.
She knows ALL the "right" THINGS for Guys to think, do AND do ... lmfao!!!! kl
What's your problem? She can't have an opinion now? You gotta mock her? This is the very thing she was talking about "You're beautiful so you can't possibly have any substance. Everything you say is suspect". Fuck off, loser.
I work in the film industry and I can tell you that many male actors are deemed 'difficult' and even removed from casting consideration for that perception. Similarly, good looking actors are often dismissed as 'himbos.' It's a shallow business and everyone gets exploited, although it's only fashionable to complain about the woman's lot in general these days.
Being a celebrity is my idea of Hell.
As much as I sympathize with Diane regarding her foray into society as a model being a shallow one, it is a means of sustaining, living and providing for yourself. Many people do demeaning and dirty jobs that are much worse off than this. Not everyone has a choice in what they can do to sustain themselves and their family, so I think the "woe is me" in regards to some early actresses and models perception on their career choices isn't completely warranted.
Oh yeah. I've cleaned grease traps and dinglberries out of an elderly gentleman's butt. I've put up with shithead bullies who targeted me because I was so good at my job. They would then accuse ME of being unprofessional, because it's apparently professional to call your co-worker "A mess," accuse her of racism, and then wrestle with the kids. Meantime I got a bunch impotent imbecils in supervisory and management position who see this load of crap going on and do...NOTHING. I swear half the people in this country are...pardon the expression...the walking dead.
She forgot to mention that the naysayers were mostly women :)
pcr2088
How is it that you know that?
Lol! Most of the women I know think she's a goddess.
I love Diane Kruger
Admits she got her start via her looks. Then complains she can't be taken seriously b/c of her looks? Awww ... poor wittle baby.
People grow
No she's not, sorry.
Devin Brines Lol she's alright nothing like Rihanna or Angelina jolie, her head is shaped kinda weird
@@trishluis4435 her forehead slopes and she got big hooked bird beak nose
@@trishluis4435 i agree she’s pretty but idk i wasn’t like surprised by her beauty 🤷♀️
@@airplanesli3590 Uh..she's Teutonic. What did you WANT her to look like?
this is so absurd. How on earth can she be complaining.
Just b/c she has her monitory needs met, she shouldn't have any problems? Or not talk about them?
You may not relate to what she's saying but just FYI there are many that do
Let me tell ya', I've been well off and I've been poor. They both suck. When you have money you're looked at as a greedy bastard just because of the one per cent; and when you're poor and homeless (or living in a beat up old R.V. like we are now) they look at you like you are not worth the ground you walk on. Fuck the lot of them.
