definitely. She's intelligent, and funny, and charming, I feel like she'd keep you on your toes as a friend, and hold you accountable, and always say surprising, refreshing things.
3:59 I could NEVER shoot this scene and be completely fine the minute after, seriously I would be completely scared even though it’s fake. She’s a absolutely amazing actress and every dramatic/scary scene she does seems EXTREMELY real
AHS is just not AHS without Sarah Paulson. She is a legend. I'm glad her career's been evolving and getting broader these past years. I'm so happy for her.
I told my parents that they should watch it (I’m a millennial mind you) and their response was “We don’t have to, we were around when the real thing happened” I honestly hadn’t been that embarrassed and felt that self centered in a long time
Senna They should have been more inclined to see it bc they were around then! It’s ok to feel a bit embarrassed but you shouldn’t feel self centred for wanting your parents to watch an amazing show :)
What she’s talking about in the beginning was exactly why I couldn’t finish acting school. I was hospitalized so many times. And they don’t care to teach you how to self care. Also 3:46
Sarah Paulson really is the best!! It's hard to watch our favorite actors/actresses play different roles & actually believe it. It's not hard at all to believe Paulson. She's so brilliant & talented. There's a reason she was in every season.
I have never see it but even just watching that small clip you can see Sarah’s eyes swell up and she hides it so well like a person would do in real life if they were in front of a lot of people and it looks so real and that’s what makes it so heartbreaking
Women might be smarter than men it really doesn't mean that you as an individual are. Judging by the comments here I would think that this is the case. This looks more like when Trump says that he is a genius. 😂
I could watch her all day long talk about the roles she as played. I love how deep she can get with her craft, it is absolutely amazing to see the transformation along with the reflective backstory of how she was able to do so.
I have to say the scene with Marcia Clark walking into that courtroom and immediately being met with stares and giggles about her hair brings me to tears every time. Sarah’s facial expressions were spot on and it just hurts me every time.

I just saw her in Ratched... she is AWESOME!!! I knew about her in AHS before, but I never watched it. Now I’m finding more stuff she’s in so I can continue watching her!! Great phenomenal actress
I’ve literally only watched 2 mins of this and I’m speechless. How did I not know how intellectually present, well spoken, and innovative Sarah Paulson is until exactly right now? Especially since I’ve seen almost every season of AHS. Whaaaa?
I think what really cements her being a good actor is the 12 years of slave she truly understood her role and how important it was that she didn’t make the role she was playing seem kind because the weight of the story
I really was in awe of her acting in that clip at 7:13. The whole cast was great on that show but Sarah Paulson really did everything an actor could do on that role. Mindblowing.
Erika Wiberg she got a striking haircut and perm. She’s a woman. In a high profile case. Everyone made fun of her for it. Everyone. Media. Those in that courtroom. Everyone.
I love how forthcoming she is with her process. How self aware she is. This is gold. Most actors hide these things behind nebulous statements. "l had to find something real","l needed to find the truth of the character","l don't know how I got there, it was something in the alchemy". She's very thoughtful towards other actors coming up in the game. Great stuff!
I could listen to her talk for hours. She is so descriptive and you can see how much she loves and respects the art of acting and everything that entails.
I just realized how TRULY amazing she is. I look back to the roles I’ve seen her in and I never saw anything except the character and was always invested in the story. What an accomplished actress!
You can tell how she understands the art of acting. Her art is something else

@@josel7870 yes but the movie was also announced as well as her playing the role well before this video
She is very well spoken I love her interviews you can tell she loves her craft
Her explanation at 4:55 should illuminate everyone why she, or anyone who goes "there" needs a break now and again.
It’s good that Evan is taking a break now.
Never considered how actors/actresses went through so much trauma in certain plots and stories. Rly cool to see her open up about that topic.
I've never held an interest in Hollywood or notable actors, but Sarah Paulson is the one person who I can actually say is a favorite actor.
Can you get Meryl Streep to do her most popular roles
it would be an hour long video
@@theharmoniousriley9430 And we'd be down to that hour.
Dude, she’s been in over 50 films...it’s gonna be more than an hour 😅🙃
But several hours I am willing to contribute to the, and I quote: “the best actress of her generation”.
Lmao it’s gonna be like 2 hours long
A full series, you mean! I’m up for it ;)
She's insanely captivating, she is magical and listening to her talk is how i want to spend the rest of my life
Sarah is kind of person who you want to be friends with
definitely. She's intelligent, and funny, and charming, I feel like she'd keep you on your toes as a friend, and hold you accountable, and always say surprising, refreshing things.
Absolutely. First time I thought that was when I saw her reaction on Jimmy Kimmel's "Mean Tweets" lol. She's a savage in the best possible way.
I always loved her on AHS but this interview genuinely made me realize what a phenomenal actor she is - her expressions can be subtle yet piercing
god she is the most well spoken person ever, i love her so much
Woah she's good in the OJ clip , that is some powerful acting
that part where she was talking about rihanna...sent me lmaooo
cat Sent you?
Brandon Westfall Sent her yes it was funny
literally been looking for a Rihanna comment. I died when she spoke about giving Rihanna ideas for next album.
She does acting unlike anyone else. Its an art for her and i could listen to her talk about it for hours.
Loved her in American Horror Story. She was in a carnival as a two headed woman. She is a fantastic actress. I hope one day she gets a Oscar.
I'm so happy for her.
sarah paulson explaining method acting for 24 minutes and 52 seconds
Method actors are amazing. True commitment to devote themselves to their art.
Ya….. big yikes😬
And emotional recall😐
@@SelfAwareSaga yikes ? Why yikes ?
If you haven’t seen her in “the people vs oj Simpson” then your missing out it’s so good!!!!
If sarah is in it. It is guaranteed to be good.
It was a masterpiece
I told my parents that they should watch it (I’m a millennial mind you) and their response was “We don’t have to, we were around when the real thing happened”
I honestly hadn’t been that embarrassed and felt that self centered in a long time
@@senna5922 you weren't being self centered, your parents were being assholes
She seems like a very different person than the roles I've seen her play. She's just really talented (and looks like a lovely person.)
That scene in O.J. Vs The People with her haircut BROKE ME
Same, I just wanted to go and give her a big hug :(
😭😭😭
SHE WAS SO GOOD, I FELT HER BECOMING BROKEN
I have never see it but even just watching that small clip you can see Sarah’s eyes swell up and she hides it so well like a person would do in real life if they were in front of a lot of people and it looks so real and that’s what makes it so heartbreaking
The double head was a very iconic roll for her, really showed her acting abilities
I am so unbelievably in love with her.
Wish she had talked about being the Supreme. Cordelia Goode was by far my favorite character of hers.
And when she was blind
same
That scene where she sits in court and starts to cry really gets to me still now lol, she did amazing!!
IBeBradleyy me too she really took us there in that emotion
Same!!! But the look on oj’s face always makes me laugh
I love the way she describes being haunted by a character.
I can't even put in words the amount of inspiration that she gives me. Absolute legend.
"Women are smarter."
In conclusion, we stan
no
ryan yeah 😄
@@Draftspike yes ryan
@@Draftspike its actually a fact
Women might be smarter than men it really doesn't mean that you as an individual are. Judging by the comments here I would think that this is the case.
This looks more like when Trump says that he is a genius. 😂
She’s one of those actors that pretty much everyone agrees is talented and artistic beyond expectations
You know she’s a great actress when she has different personalities each season.
She cuts straight to the point, I love that. Sarah Paulson is going to be one of the greats.
0:26 American Horror Story
6:35 American Crime Story
10:11 Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
12:51 12 Years a Slave
15:44 Ocean's 8
17:24 Game Change
22:13 The Goldfinch
Her playing Lana was my FAVORITE roll of hers, so I am happy to hear that she felt so connected with that character because I get connected to that character. She’s a great actress!
She articulate herself sooo well she’s soo profound in her craft of acting. she’s so passionate I love it
Everything you said, Morty Smith, and then some!!
You can tell how well read she is by listening to a minute of this interview. How well spoken she is, god!
UUUURGH so good. Not a word said, just an entire inner monologue, like a page worth. Just the face.
It makes me cry - I didn't watch the show but that moment is incredible.
@@Volvican This is exactly the feeling I got. I hadn't watched the show but the heartbreak on her face literally made me tear up.
Can someone explain the scene? Never seen it but it was sooo good.
Erika Wiberg she got a striking haircut and perm. She’s a woman. In a high profile case. Everyone made fun of her for it. Everyone. Media. Those in that courtroom. Everyone.
miss her in AHS but so excited to see what she does next!!
I’ve heard she’ll make a cameo this season, I’d rather her be a regular but I’m glad we get that at least.
Wait...so is she done with AHS?
Calm your salt no i think she’s just taking a break
She has confirmed that she infact does appear in season 9. We just don't know when 😉
“her most iconic characters” every character that she played was✨iconic✨
There is only one word that explains sarah paulson. *icon*
Her and Jessica Lange are the best actresses on AHS hands down periodt!!💯 Love them both!!!
I would watch Sarah Paulson play ANYTHING! She truly is a chameleon
You can tell she is so passionate about treating everyone with respect and she will forever be my favorite actor
Goodness, she is so eloquent. She’s for sure one of my favorite actresses.
shes one of the most gifted actresses in our generation. i love her
I could listen to her talk for hours. She is so descriptive and you can see how much she loves and respects the art of acting and everything that entails.
She’s so gorgeous inside and out. One of my new fav actresses
I just realized how TRULY amazing she is. I look back to the roles I’ve seen her in and I never saw anything except the character and was always invested in the story. What an accomplished actress!
i’ve always loved her as an actress but this video proved that she is truly so captivating and intelligent
Go watch the SVU episode where she's the villain. Sensational as a psychopath.
One of my favorite SVU episodes!
toobasaurus23 Yes! I came for this comment.
Do you remember what season?
Zahabre Hardmon Season 11. I think episode 7. “Shadow”
