Great job Justin, I look forward to your trips, I have been on the watch for a new video from you. I keep checking to see if something happened to my subscription want to be sure not to miss your latest. Thanks for the trip, JeffinMaine
Justin, I had my doubts about ordering an Alpaka pack raft, but not after watching you beat the crap out of it without a failure. Its either tougher than its weight would suggest or you are one lucky dude. I’ve watched you drag plastic canoes over torture test, but man, you did the same thing to that pack raft. Keep on making the movies, and exploring. I love your work.
Fantastic video and experiance, thanks for the massive effort and really entertaining presentation, its great to see the strength of the irish prevailing in such a beautiful and testing place.
Just getting caught up and to the point of where you dumped the blow up raft on the 68 day trip 2019, and couldn't find Saku. Had a similar experience but mine was calm water and my dog went after a goose playing wounded as its nest was on the bank. I paddled as hard as I could and she would not stop chasing. As I caught up, she was exhausted and the last three paddle strokes she disappeared in over 20 feet of water. Dove in and was lucky to feel her paw and able to get her back into the boat. That was 15 years ago and she lived to be 18 years old. Now I have two dogs, and they do not go around water without their own life jackets, I had to pause and pray for you both before I watched you make it to shore. Very happy that you both were safe, a very scary moment I'm sure you will never forget, nor will I. Stay safe and God bless.
Appreciate you watching and the comment Vandall - sounds like you have had some real experiences in nature too- it's all apart of it. Rarely in the wild does an animal die of old age- they live hard and free and die at the mercy of the wilderness from accidents or getting killed by other animals. This is a healthier way of life for any animal (human and dog included). There's a reason mental health issues are so common in towns and cities. All the best!
@@JustinBarbournlexplorer Thanks for the reply, and yes, for most of my life nature has been my therapy and my connection to the creator. My backyard of 11 million acres of wilderness is dwarfed by yours, but nature all the same. I am nearing the end of my life's journey, yet I find myself outdoors more and more now, I do enjoy watching your adventures as it brings back many memories when times were simpler, and aches and pains were a forethought. Please enjoy it as long as you can, for me getting up in the years I have no regrets, and far better to be addicted to nature than drugs and the ills of the world. Thank you for all you do, and never stop (not that I think you ever will) as I hope for you and yours continued joy in the wilds, and pray I am around long enough to see you and perhaps a son or daughter taking some of these trips to pass on your drive for such to future generations and keep the desire of the outdoors fishing, hunting, boating, and all alive and well for generations.
I live what I've always dreamed of doing thru you. I watch alot of bushcrafting vids. You above all impress me so much. Your character, additude, the way you carry yourself thru these adventures. You are the real deal. All I see in you and your love of the outdoors, your adventures is truly inspirational.
Uphill, headwind, rain, heavy load, long day, you could tell you were gassed, and you say " would ya look at that!" The shot set-ups alone have to add tremendous time onto the trip. Justin, thanks for taking us along on this trip!
It was definitely a deadly trip even if you didn’t get to continue the way you wanted too I’m sure you will be back because there is nothing like exploring new places and putting yourself to the test keep the videos coming
Carrying out my cans, I have issues with leakage inside my bags. What secrets do you have, if any... besides inside multiple bags. But, they still seem to leak. Thx for sharing this adventure. Fun to watch. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Hi Justin ,I really enjoy your videos . I noted you said somehlthing about Joe robinet yes I do watch his videos to. He's pretty awesome as well. Have you heard of Jim and Ted baird they're awesome to .I also watch them as well .then there is Steve wallis from around edmonton ab.area Steve does stealth camping it's different but pretty cool to .his videos are pretty good to .ie something a little different .oh and then there is Matthew Posa from the states .also Xander budnick from around Ontario ,All these guys are you tubers ,like you .
One of My favorite youtubers Another great video. When is the GNP adventure? Watched the teaser..anxiously waiting for the full series. Cheers and happy new year
Some spot for Brookies! Looked like a wicked excursion, test your limits for sure! The closest I got to that area was Peak pond thru to Split rock pond 35 years ago, and it was deadly then for mud trout. Looking forward to your next adventure. Cheers bud!
As we say in Ireland, he is a hardy barbour that fella, and that means you Justin. Fair play to you lad and thank you for sharing your experience and adventures keeping us all entertained with your amazing trips. Thank you.
9:54 little trout jumping? grab it with your hands lol! Loved this mate. True adventure as always and what a feeling to have accomplished it with such low rations. Congrats bro! Good speech at the end, that's what it's all about indeed. Well done!
Thanks Ruthlove having the dogs out but sometimes they can be a handful! It was nice to be alone for a change. The Moose galloped close , couldn't smell or see me until I raised my hands in the air. Sometimes that's what it takes for them to notice a human. All the best
Wow that BC hydro road reminds me of the shoulder-deep "puddles" and the 4 m deep "potholes" in the tracks when I was backpacking around NL! I always like your videos, but that yeehaw at 21:42 had me pause the video to like before the end haha! I love it.
This was a awesome adventure Justin but the second part gave you some nasty weather that's Newfoundland for ya. take care and enjoy the rest of the week
Your endurance is something else there my friend. Very few like ya. Hoping they figure out what's on the go with my iron and stuff so I can get on the go ago.
I love watching your trips in between my own much smaller kayaking and backpacking trips throughout the year. It holds me over and also inspires me to see what is possible and you make it look easy. Always appreciate your positive attitude and your gratitude for life. Thank you!
For a moment there in that one segment I thought you were trying to catch a beaver or something....and then out of the brush comes your line with that huge sweet-looking Brookie on it. Looks like you been switching up on bait too. You got a good feel for the fish......and that makes us both hungry for more. Saku doesn't know what he's missing.....and that's a good thing. Unless Bear's figured out how to use the drone and then all bets are off. WOOF! WOOF!
Another slog through the bush In a downpour and headwind dragging your pack raft and supplies now that looked tough and very uncomfortable day, Nice few trout you caught though. More spectacular views of this wildness landscape Love This!. so peaceful. even without the sun and terrible weather. The music you use fits perfect through out. That was quite the hike out to the vehicle and wasn't that Moose huge that you met up with and a health boy at that. Well done Justine will be nice to see your next video . Thank's ... Ontario.
Thanks for watching Glenda - I taught for 5 years but now I am full time bushwhacker ha. Exploring, making films for YT & TV, writing, speaking and working as ambassador with gear brands such as LOWA Boots & Aquabound/Bending Branches Paddles. As for guiding trips I will do that down the road as well. Look forward to it! Take care, all the best 🏕
That was a short but demanding outing my friend!! But there is no nothing like experiencing that weightless feeling when taking that backpack off when reaching campsite for the day.Few people get to experience this.C’ant wait for the next one.Oh yes!Hope your rendezvous went well.lol!!
great trip, good fishing, needed some improvisation to hike out, Justin Barbour at his best. I was a little worried watching the Moose come up the trail right at you,
Have that same raft , gets ya to some beauty places here in Norway , i hammock camp , but just the same beauty to be out in the elements , love your channel J , Tusen takk,
Thanks Justin. We just love watching your Newfoundland adventures. It's so different from hiking in my country - New Zealand. Having visited NF about 10 years ago, we fell in love with it and all the wonderful Newfies! Cheers!
Love it as always Mr. Barbour. Question for you: is there a Jim Baird and Justin Barbour (JBx2) expedition in your future? I would donate good money to see you guys attack an insane journey!
This is exactly what I needed, my friend. You have such a wonderful spirit within you, and we all can see it through your creativity here. Use a zip lock inside of a dry bag or just thicker dry bag works. Most sardines cans also burn up if you have a hot and long enough fire
Woot woot! Keep em coming Justin!
