Their whole concert is just an exhibition of great live music.
No frontman in music history could have a crowd in the palm of his hands like Freddie Mercury. Perfect example is Queen at Live Aid the year earlier,especially during Radio GaGa. An entire crowd clapping in unison. Magical.

This actual concert was the 1st ever concert I attended and to this day still the best I've ever been to, the whole group blew us all away, especially Freddie who was amazing that day
Roger said: “That really was a proper collaboration of everybody, I mean Brian came up with the riff, and then John came up with the bass part, and Fred came up with a Chinese menu which he was reading at the end. “We’ve got a version actually somewhere…he goes through half the menu. Jokingly blaming that “rotter” Freddie for losing the original ideas for One Vision’s lyrics, Roger said: “The original words, actually, were about Martin Luther King.
This song went right into Tie your mother down, what an epic doubleheader to start the concert. This whole Wembley concert was amazing

Queen was inspired to write this by their Live Aid appearance in 1985 - millions of people sharing one vision of a better world.
All four band members helped write this. Most Queen songs were written separately, mostly out of a desire to keep writing credits to themselves.
The idea of writing a song together came from Freddie Mercury. He rang the other three members and asked them to come to the studio, where the writing and recording sessions were taped.
Went to Wembley a couple of times to see Manchester United in the 80s,I never got to see Freddie but went to his tribute concert in 92 at Wembley and it still gives me goosebumps x.

The best parts about recording live events. Ppl who missed out can see it and feel like they were there. you get to see Freddie Mercury with his unbelievable stage presence. Even though Freddie Mercury died over 3 decades ago Freddie Mercury lives on. Through his music and recorded performances.

The whole band is so talented it unbelievable, Brian May is a literal qualified rocket scientist and hold the unique distinction of having played on top of Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth's golden jubilee. You know you're one of the greatest when royalty lets you play on the roof of their home.
Incredible power & charisma. Brian May had/has the sweetest electric guitar tone of them all.
From the moment the introduction to this song started till Freddie and co left the stage at the end the night it was an electric place to be, the best gig I've ever been to. Have a look at the two that followed this - "Tie Your Mother Down" and "Seven Seas of Rye". In fact, to hell with it, have a look at the whole thing, you won't regret it.
You were SO LUCKY to experience this live!😻

(Whenever I need a “pick me up”, I just start one of Queen’s live shows at the beginning - it’s always MILTON KEYNES BOWL or WEMBLEY - and I let the concert play until I feel better!)
Milton Keynes was absolutely awesome.
One of the best concerts is Queen Live At The Rainbow 1974, the band performs songs from first three albums, it would be interesting for you to listen and watch early Queen
Oh absolutely! Stone Cold Crazy is amazing! Also, my personal favorite, White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon. It's downright otherworldly.

Saw them at the O2 a few weeks ago. 75 year old Brian May running up and down the stage....amazing!! Now he is no Freddie and he doesn't try to be but qudos to Adam Lambert who has such a great voice. Freddie though....the greatest frontman ever!! Great reaction guys. Great reaction...Queen’s stage at Wembley was the largest ever erected there...their lighting rig weighed nine and a half tons...the stage was 160 ft wide and 52 ft high...it was capable of filling one entire end of Wembley stadium and was so heavy that supports had to be bored into the foundations of the stadium🤩
That crowd was rocking from the moment they saw Freddie, I love this song.

We got around 80,000 for concerts as we had the whole pitch and the restaurants and corporate boxes, and for concerts especially from Queen you need to watch the whole thing, as you said, they were there July 1986 on the Friday and Saturday, but the two concerts sounded different, they'd change it slightly each time, and no song has actually finished until all four who worked by eye look at each other and Fred flicks the arm up, there is a hour or so documentary Road To Wembley, and also one about this song being made which is around 25 minutes or so long, Roger wrote it, but Fred changed some of the lyrics so he could sing it, as he said in his own words he was the lead singer and wanted to make every song sound as good as the writer wanted it too sound and you have four very different people writing very different songs, as far as fainting goes maybe if it was hot outside or in one of the smaller theatres, but I can't say I remember ever seeing anyone faint at a Queen concert, I think us British are a very different type of crowd, and yes I'm old enough too remember when the group first started. They have dropped two new videos from The Miracle Album 1989 previously unreleased song Face It Alone, which will be included on the collectors edition of the same album with many more unreleased songs, at a guess from 1970 or 1971 with the four as we know it until 1991 and a couple of albums after Fred passed away, you've got at least 250 songs, and the solo albums from Fred,Roger and Brian as they ran the solo careers alongside Queen, John worked on something behind the scenes with others
I had this live album on cassette tape back in the day. I played it so much it broke. Great show.
One of my biggest regrets is that I never went to a Queen concert 😕 I was a bit too young at the time. So wonderful to see it all now albeit via RUclips!

This was Saturday gig - they did the same thing the night before. And had sold so many tickets they opted for Knebwort. Which resulted in 120K sold tickets and another 100K that joined the gig - there were no gates

I think that this song really gets set up well by showing the whole stage and field being set up and all the people coming in. There is a huge excitement in just that portion then here comes the band and Freddie looking so sharp in that yellow jacket. That had me amped up before the first note dropped then, here comes that punch of guitars, smash of drums and Freddie's vocals. I felt like I was there. Yes, there is a full concert video of the Wembley Concert, you really should watch it. It is a great show and you get a feel of exactly what it was like being in the audience at a Queen concert. I have heard that Freddie had a sore throat that night and that the other show, I believe the day before was better. Some man told me he was at both and the one not recorded for the concert video was even better, but honestly, the one on RUclips is fantastic. I only got to see Queen live one time and it was in Los Angeles, but it was the most thrilling show I have ever seen and I have seen all the big rock/pop bands and individuals live, most of them several times. There is nothing like a Queen concert, that is all I can say. I see that someone is sending birthday wishes to Asia so I will belatedly say Happy Birthday, Beautiful Asia!!!
Both nights were recorded/filmed, with this one -- the Saturday show -- being released 1992, and the Friday show released (in its entirety) in 2011.
Legendary Queen . . .great musicians and just as wonderful entertainers . . .never ending energy. ❤❤❤

I was at this concert. We made a weekend of it. Queen on Saturday at Wembley stadium & the Formula 1 grand prix at Brands Hatch on the Sunday. It was one hell of a weekend.
In 1980 queen was the number one band in the world. 1980 was when queen had a world stadium tour. They played huge stadiums all around the world. I think it started in south America where they were drawing crowds 200,00 to 300,00 and up.
They really were on top of the world

Hi Asia /BJ while you're at Wembley (😛) why not check out another superb gig- INXS in 1991 I was lucky enough to be there that day and I'd love to see a reaction to 'The Stairs'
They were such a tight band, and in the video at about 2mins 50sec's the drummer Jon Farris snaps a stick throws it, gets another and carries on without missing a beat. Definitely one of my favourite bands.
When Freddie was asked what instrument's he played he said I play the audience! So true!

Of course you could watch the whole concert. React to it! It's not their best tour (according to many) but it was their last and was still pretty great and brought many iconic song performances. Called "The Magic Tour", they did not know it would be their last so no need to see hidden meanings in any of the music...just enjoy :) ❤

There were 83,000 People inside the Stadium. There was also a large number outside.
If you think there was a large audience, consider that the live at Wmbley '86 lasted two consecutive days. Queen filled the London stadium for two consecutive days July 11th and 12th. Considering the two days, the audience was close to 400,000 people.
Look at the sheer size of that stadium and the crowd. Now imagine being those 4 guys with the responsibility to entertain and deliver a great show. All eyes are on 4 men. Incredible!

The year was1986 - I think Wembely holds around 83k? I forget. One Vision was inspired by Dr. MLK, written by Roger Taylor the drummer. I don’t know if people fainted as much as they did for Michael. I would have been so bummed to miss the show! I was lucky enough to see them in 82 @ Irvine California. I’m really glad you both enjoy the band’s music so much. It has meant so much to me all my life. 🤘🏻

This was '86. I saw them a few weeks later at Knebworth (a gig that turned out to be their last)
People danced and sang and had the time of their lives. When Freddie sang slow we wept. When he sang fast we did whatever he wanted! 70k in Wembley. Sold out both Friday and Saturday! This song based on Martin Luther king speech.

Wembley Stadium is the home of the English national soccer teams. This version of the stadium hosted the British portion of LiveAid, but has been demolished. The current Wembley Stadium holds 90K fans, although I don't know whether that means for concerts or matches.

8:13 It was a huge crowd so I obviously can't tell you what happened everywhere but I never saw anyone fainting or getting hysterical. That sort of reaction tends to come from teenage girls. Queen's audience was more mature. People in their twenties (as I was back then) & thirties made up the vast majority of the crowd, from what I saw.

as far as i know the „wembley 1986 concert“ had 3 sold out shows there. on that same tour they had a concert at „slane castle“ in ireland where fred nearly stopped the concert because of drunken people in the audience started fighting and throwing stuff to each other and the stage. yes, freddie told the audience to stop this shit otherwise they would stop playing. you can listen to it on youtube.

That's the old Wembley, they knocked it down and rebuilt it... I saw Madonna twice in the old stadium.
