@user-mg6in9cq9e A lot of what makes up black hair and skin care, from what I have had suggested to me, is a lot of really "cheap" products too. And not in a bad way. I agree with you completely. It is really mind boggling that this is seen as "normal" in the natural hair community. At some point excessive "protective styles" are indistinguishable from hiding your natural hair because it's "too difficult to manage"😣
This might sound off, but to me it feels too vulnerable. I’m mixed and typically don’t look black to most people and i grew up in a relatively diverse area so it should matter less. BUT i was surrounded by non-black people who always ALWAYS were trying to touch my hair and making all kinds of comments about it even if it was straightened or whatever. I had a rough period where stress/malnutrition caused a lot of it to fall out and I’ve worn wigs ever since. I’ll admit, some women are much stronger and more resilient than me when it comes to that lmao
I think, like most things, it depends on the person. I used to wear my hair out -- specifically ponytails and puffs -- everyday and it just wasn't healthy for my hair. I have a lot of hair and sweat a lot so it was very often hot and damp and puffy and unmanageable. To make it more manageable, I applied heat which ultimately damaged it more. I wore the ponytails so often that my hair started to break off where it was tied up at. It just felt bad. I felt bad. I tried out a bunch of products until I found something that worked well for me and started to wear it braided almost exclusively and wear wigs on the regular instead. Every other week or so, I take it out, do my maintenance, let it rest over the weekend and then braid it back up for the next few weeks. It's never been healthier with me just leaving it alone. It's full, my curls are healthy, and the length is great. It and I feel so much better now, even if I'm the only one to see it. I started a new job a few years ago and literally no one there has ever seen my natural hair. I can buy or style a wig whenever I want a change and I generally just save a lot of time and energy not crying over it in the mornings.
I get so many people everyday asking what I put in my hair etc. I am quick to tell them I neglect my hair regularly in comparison To most but mainly genetics 🤷🏾♀️ just being honest.

That is the truth with me too. People would say you should wear it out and I would say then it won’t be this long. I have done two or three big chops since then and now I’m back on my hair GROWTH journey, thank you for sharing. I love your content.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@charlenea.davidson1199 I really can’t explain it, like we wear our hair out but it’s constantly in a protective style. I don’t wear wigs or quick weaves, that’s not what I mean. I mostly keep my natural hair in plats. Wearing it loose just seems to lead to breakage in my opinion. In my profile you can see my natural hair. Sometimes I can’t tell if my hair wants oil or h20, so I just wear platted seems safer is all
@@charlenea.davidson1199 ALSO I Only wear my true natural state, ur hair looks straightened if this is u in ur profile. That would make a super big difference we are speaking of true state at all times
While that's not totally incorrect, it's not totally correct either. Hair growth has to do with your immune system, and what you eat/ take can either trigger your immune system to excrete waste through your scalp (yes, hair is waste excretion), or keep signaling your body to excrete it in other ways. Eating a diet that is conducive to creating healthy gut bacteria that communicates with your entire body would be a start. That would require extensive gi testing and labs, which most people don't get unless you have an illness. So, yea 😢
Hair growth is hereditary but if you can't grow your hair past you neck there are other problems. Good hair care, genetics and health leads to length retention. I thought my hair wouldn’t grow until I did this... Products: Suave Keratin shampoo and conditioner, As I Am Leave in Conditioner, As I Am Jamaican Black Castor Oil Spray, Blue Magic Hair Grease and Eco Styler Argan Oil Gel BE GENTLE with your hair 1. Shampoo and condition in the shower. Rinse you hair out very well. 2. Part your wet hair into four sections 3. With one section apply leave in conditioner throughly. Use JBCO spray. Detangle with a wide tooth comb or good brush. 4. Coat ends in grease. Apply a lil bit of grease down the hair. You can apply grease to your scalp if you wish. 5. Apply a little gel if you want 6. Braid your hair. I used to put 4 or 6 braids in each section. Now that my hair is longer I put 1 or 2. 7. Repeat for the other 3 sections. I'd recommend washing your hair every 2 or 3 weeks. Leave your hair in the braids until the week or few days leading up to your wash day. If your hair feels dry at any point plan to wash your hair in the next few days. Yes you can refresh your hair with water and a little conditioner but I find it only helps me for a couple days. Some people don't feel beautiful walking around with Felicia braids/Coi Leray/Travis Scott braids so you can throw on a wig or a head wrap. Just don't forget to check on your hair BE GENTLE and give your hair some love. You got this!

I agree and disagree. Like you, my hair wasn't growing. I found out I was anaemic, so I started taking my iron supplements. Also, I changed my diet, exercise more often, and massage my scalp once a week. Now, my hair is at brastrap length 3 years after a big chop.
honestly as a hispanic with naturally curly hair, some people with straight hair don’t understand how hard it is for us to maintain our naturally curly hair. I use to have people always say “it must suck to have curly hair” which really made me want to have straight hair so I was afraid to wear it down naturally. but now I must say I feel happy with the way my hair is. it looks beautiful and there no need to change it. you should feel the same way too ❤️
It's not mutually exclusive. I have executive dysfunction. Right now my hair is a big clump. Like fr it's like when u cook spaghetti but hold it so it sticks together... I have very fine hair and a lot of hair but it's straight. It still gets really tangled. So seeing videos like this I get curl envy and also think omg that must be a lot... I can't keep my straight hair straight! 😅
I have straight hair and used to always want curly hair. We all seem to want what the other one has. Lol Curly hair is beautiful! It’s sad how society has us all brainwashed into thinking beauty only exists in certain forms or standards. That’s wrong! Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. We should all learn to be proud of how God made us. Perfect through him.
You dont need a ton of product for your hair, you haven’t tried learning more about your hair so you make excuses to not do it. I have 4b hair bra strap length and only use water, leave in and a essential oil. You dont need all these creams and custards to take care of your hair
Young people now take in what their people told them, and decided to do something about it. It's so commendable. They have access to things that I couldn't have dreamed of. Bull by the horns❤
Listen I do the same thing, I’m not a content creator but I always get “wear your natural hair, stop wearing wigs” my hair grew from not touching it so much 😂
So you grow it out just to look a bit at it , and then do a protective hairstyle all the time . What’s the point of having it long then , if it’s always hidden ?
I recently just stopped trimming my hair on a schedule! I used to do about once a month and about a month ago something in me clicked and I realized I’m cutting off healthy hair for no reason. Plus my hair grows slow so I would also cut off any new growth 😭😂
I dont trim at all. I wear low manipulation styles, moisturize and seal with oil. I use olaplex with that and game changer! I will try your line for my moisturize and seal process.
I understand wanting healthy hair and protecting it. Yet I will never understand what all that protecting is doing if I don’t wear it out anwyway. I want to see my hair and show off my hair. I love how it looks, how it feels and how it compliments every outfit every attitude and every occasion. To each their own ofcourse.
As a white person with 1c hair, watching black people wash style and braid their natural hair is very relaxing for me. Natural black hair is sooo pretty, I wish I had hair like that
hunny dont. The grass is not greener over here. There are so many factors that make taking care of hair native to black folks so much harder. I have armpit length 4b 4a hair, believe me when I tell you it takes hours if not days to wash, detangle and style it. This is why you will often see us wearing protective styles or wigs and keeping the same style in for a very long time. We have beautiful hair but it comes at a price. Wash day can actually become a full day for many of us. It takes a long time for many of us to master what works for our hair and it differs from person to person, even if you have the same hair type it also differs each season and changes throughout our lifetime. Stay with your 1c hair. I am sure it has its own unique charm Love. God gave you what you could manage.
The no oils no butters thing is definitely subjective. I started using hair grease when that trend was taking off and my hair has never felt softer or been easier to comb. People who are bothered by that just have way too much time on their hands. Also i trim on a schedule because i dont use a blowdryer and i dont straighten my hair so its hard to tell when my hair really needs it
The process you go through to maintain your beautiful hair is so cool to see. In my country I never see coiled hair. Thank you for educating people on the process.
So oil is for after, it helps you retain moisture but if you put oil on dry hair it will repel all water keeping your hair hella dry So leave-in/mask then oil@@YasminMahnaz
This the same for me. Oil dried my hair out & makes my curly hair brittle & frizz faster. I'm 48 & it took me too long to realize this! So much hair care has oil in it, esp coconut oil & it causes tangles & doesn't help at all.

I'm growing my hair out so I could put my hair in an updo. Length is what gives a style the much needed volume I want
Completely agree.
I get so many people everyday asking what I put in my hair etc. I am quick to tell them I neglect my hair regularly in comparison To most but mainly genetics 🤷🏾♀️ just being honest.
Same.
Yep, I relate all too well.
ugh as someone who studies actually biology no its not genetics hair is not that variable.

Love this! ❤

This is solid!🎉
I hope to read your writing some day!
Pick a different 'influencer' because this girl is anything but respectful. Out here saying other groups of people aren't allowed to wear braids and sht in their hair because it's her culture, and calling those of us who do wear braids or locs, culture vultures and appropriating. 🙄
Watching you makes me miss my beautiful hair unraveled! I’m taking my dreadlocks down. They’re shoulder length ! I’m excited to see the growth!
I love your hair and I understand the process. Natural beauty all the way ❤❤❤❤❤!
Girl your hair is beautiful and it’s healthy. Don’t worry about what other people say.
I love her butter. It keeps my white hair moisturized.
She is so gorgeous
You're so beautiful...naturally. Will check out your hair care line❤💯
Your hair is absolutely beautiful❤
I'm with you on keep my hair constantly in a protective style. I don't care if it's boring. My hair has gotten so healthy and long from keeping it twisted up. Plus, I can style the twists in buns, a pony with bangs, or leave them down.
Thank you so much !!

You and your hair are absolutely gorgeous!!❤
That's got to be the most beautiful hair I have ever seen
Im a cosmetologist girl I get it to each there own textured hair is unique if you found a routine that works for you good job 😊
“I feel like it’s insane that we can NEVER wear our natural hair out”. Seriously ❤
You can though. Your hair just needs to be taken care of and given products that it actually responds to.
I wear mine all the time. What are you talking about?
@jovonjulian1430 Soserious out is still natural. But, in this comment, I was referring to when I wear my Fro. Calm down, it not that serious.

Maaaaaaaan if my hair looked like THAT id be showing that ahit off ALL THE TIME. freaking STUNNING
So pretty. It's like soothing watching your hair.
She so pretty with all that hair love it ❤❤❤
Idc what anyone says I believe hair growth is hereditary !! I been natural for 7 years and never got past neck and I wear protective styles as well
While that's not totally incorrect, it's not totally correct either.
Products: Suave Keratin shampoo and conditioner, As I Am Leave in Conditioner, As I Am Jamaican Black Castor Oil Spray, Blue Magic Hair Grease and Eco Styler Argan Oil Gel
BE GENTLE with your hair
1. Shampoo and condition in the shower. Rinse you hair out very well.
2. Part your wet hair into four sections
3. With one section apply leave in conditioner throughly. Use JBCO spray. Detangle with a wide tooth comb or good brush.
4. Coat ends in grease. Apply a lil bit of grease down the hair. You can apply grease to your scalp if you wish.
5. Apply a little gel if you want
Just don't forget to check on your hair
BE GENTLE and give your hair some love. You got this!
@@jessimowthis is FALSE !!!! Hence why you can see someone on drugs in the street with thick healthy full air I work in a women’s shelters you’d be surprised!
I agree and disagree. Like you, my hair wasn't growing. I found out I was anaemic, so I started taking my iron supplements. Also, I changed my diet, exercise more often, and massage my scalp once a week. Now, my hair is at brastrap length 3 years after a big chop.
Used to think this too untill I decided to leave my protective style in for not less than 5moths...it's my second year and the hair is thriving
Do what's best for you girl cause clearly it's working for you.
I used to never wear my hair out either . But sis u should !!!! It’s so beautiful
This ish is so satisfying 😂😂😂😂 I LOVE WATCHING THE HAIR ROUTINES! Im here for it! 💪💪
Absolutely STUNNING ❤❤❤❤❤
honestly as a hispanic with naturally curly hair, some people with straight hair don’t understand how hard it is for us to maintain our naturally curly hair. I use to have people always say “it must suck to have curly hair” which really made me want to have straight hair so I was afraid to wear it down naturally. but now I must say I feel happy with the way my hair is. it looks beautiful and there no need to change it. you should feel the same way too ❤️
All Hispanics have straight hair gtfoh🙄🙄🙄 you don't know 5he definition of nappy and it showss
We have to remember it's hard to us bcus we're still actively learning how to take care of our hair, we got this!
To be quite fair, people with straight hair want curly hair and vice versa.
The grass is always greener on the other side I guess.
I always keep my natural hair in a protective style . It’s so pointless to wear it out and I’m lazy when it comes to my natural hair 🤣.
That last part…… Boom
Right! It's more work to wear it out then just leaving it alone.
I am lazy too lol
That's me too!!!love people reaction when they see my hair out" YOU GOT HAIR"😂😂😂
I have a question. What does "wearing your hair out" mean. I'm sorry if it's a stupid question I'm just genuinely curious.
This was beautiful to watch! 🎉
I love love love your hair
Omg I love your hair!!
I don’t wear my hair out cuz it takes so much attention and product and product is money ion got no money 😂
You dont need a ton of product for your hair, you haven’t tried learning more about your hair so you make excuses to not do it. I have 4b hair bra strap length and only use water, leave in and a essential oil. You dont need all these creams and custards to take care of your hair
😂❤
Weaves are more expensive 😊
Try getting a big tub of leave in and either avocado or hemp seed oil :) the oils can be pricey up front but little goes a long way
@@Boss_etc853 what kind of essential oils have you liked?
That shower head on the hose is amazing! And I love that it's flat black finish.
YOU MADE THE ROSE LINE????? girl i be seeing it everywhere, literally everybody uses it omg not i HAVE to get me a couple bottles

Any! Gorgeous hair!!
Your hair is SO pretty. Those curls look very healthy
Listen I do the same thing, I’m not a content creator but I always get “wear your natural hair, stop wearing wigs” my hair grew from not touching it so much 😂
Just weirdos trying to control other people's body. You do you. If it makes you feel good and it's not hurting anyone else, they can kick rocks.
I never wear my hair out either. My family (mom, auntie, grandma), alway ask me to wear it out. But I got it healthy and long by leaving it alone!!!
U still should show it off tho sometimes ❤
So you grow it out just to look a bit at it , and then do a protective hairstyle all the time .
What’s the point of having it long then , if it’s always hidden ?
@@feli8117 I ask myself this all the time! Lol I just don’t know what to do with it. Plus I like keeping it under my wigs
I recently just stopped trimming my hair on a schedule! I used to do about once a month and about a month ago something in me clicked and I realized I’m cutting off healthy hair for no reason. Plus my hair grows slow so I would also cut off any new growth 😭😂
Beautiful 😍 hair, thanks for the cut tips!
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!! ❤
I think it's great that you made a second channel for your haircare line. Promote this channel more on your primary channel, please. 🤗

hi
Gurl I always never wear my hair out either and I have curly hair 😭
What difference does it make what texture your hair is
girl its your hair do whatever you want with it😊
Your hair is beautiful.
I dont trim at all. I wear low manipulation styles, moisturize and seal with oil. I use olaplex with that and game changer! I will try your line for my moisturize and seal process.
I stopped using oil cuz it did nothing for me, started washing weekly to retain moisture and whewww made all difference.
🤦♀️
You have the most beautiful hair ever!!!!
Wow those curls are gorgeous 🎉

You and your hair are very beautiful. I wish you luck with your growth; in hair, business, and life! Thank you for sharing.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
The no oils no butters thing is definitely subjective. I started using hair grease when that trend was taking off and my hair has never felt softer or been easier to comb. People who are bothered by that just have way too much time on their hands.
Also i trim on a schedule because i dont use a blowdryer and i dont straighten my hair so its hard to tell when my hair really needs it
❤ and that’s why I love 💕 this channel. I love wearing my hair in protective stylings
Your hair is so so beautiful
I went through the drive thru at Arby’s and the guy had such beautiful natural hair in twists. I felt weird complementing him but I couldn’t not.

i literally LOVE your hair ❤❤

The process you go through to maintain your beautiful hair is so cool to see. In my country I never see coiled hair. Thank you for educating people on the process.
The oil part!! They thought I was crazy for saying that, oils do nothing to my hair, almost dries my hair out most of the time 😂
Help! So oil no good.???
So oil is for after, it helps you retain moisture but if you put oil on dry hair it will repel all water keeping your hair hella dry So leave-in/mask then oil@@YasminMahnaz
This the same for me. Oil dried my hair out & makes my curly hair brittle & frizz faster. I'm 48 & it took me too long to realize this! So much hair care has oil in it, esp coconut oil & it causes tangles & doesn't help at all.
Your hair is beautiful. Keep doing what you’re doing and forget the haters.

Is it only me who noticed her wearing a watch while washing her hair
What about it
I think in a video, she said that the watch she was wearing was waterproof.
It bothered me a lot 🥺 the whole time I was looking at the watch getting wet.
Using less products and less attention works for my hair and face.
