"milking the death of your girlfriend". Who the fuck do they think that guy is, jay station?
My jaw freaking dropped at the audacity of the guy when he said that the poster was milking his gf’s death. An absolutely shameless and disgusting thing to say to another human being, especially one that’s trying to cope however they can.
Next time don't milk your girlfriend's death 😳
Thing is, the mod isn't exactly human.
I would like kill the mods for free because of what they said and done
Like I've seen people use other people's suffering for online clout before, but this ain't it chief. Those mods are brain dead
same here man my jaw literally dropped and I paused to see this comment, absolutely disgusting
Brendan if you're reading these comments, we're all with you. We're sorry for your loss, and that r/minecraft was so callous about it. Your memorial to her is absolutely beautiful.
I agree. The memorial is beautiful
I don't agree with minecrafts actions here but I find it odd how he would hop on reddit and ask strangers for advice on what to do, instead of keeping it private and doing something he thought of himself.
@@edwon1 It’s natural to seek human connection especially if you’re grieving over a lost one.

I send my heart out to this man. He didn't argue that well, but he's emotional, and I hope he gets some happiness. If reddit is so heartless to think that was his intention, I hope r/Minecraft never gets members
I think the only times I've gone to Reddit is when I've typed a question into a search engine and was given a Reddit post as a result. It's not a site I actively visit. I've always thought that what I've heard about Reddit moderators was overblown stereotyping. After seeing this video (recommended well over a year after it was released), then reading the Reddit posts & "the rules"(so vaguely written that it sounds like you could get banned for joining the site), and seeing that this situation has happened to more than one person, I'm left wondering why anyone uses Reddit at all?
This whole situation is really disappointing, but it’s great that Phoenix has spread word about it and called out the moderators on their wrongdoings.
hey
Reddit mods are infamous for not having actual lives, and removing posts for very minor reasons. I'm glad the video reached Brendan, and I feel sorry for the guy's loss.

You'd be surprised how many moderators actually have jobs and actual lives, no matter how awful and horrendous they can be

They should remove the mod's karma. That's be the worst thing in the world for them.
I have previously been falsely accused of "self-promoting" by those evil muppets, so I am very glad that a popular RUclipsr like Phoenix SC has made a video about them doing what they do best. This is probably the most insensitive thing you could ever say to somebody in Brendan's position. Brendan, I'm really sorry for your loss, and hopefully they will find some conscience inside themselves and make exceptions for those who need it. Thanks Phoenix for making this more public, and thanks Brendan for reaching out. I hope one of those r/Minecraft mods sees this and actually realises what they've done. Thanks.

i made a video on the paladins subreddit showing this tank being racist and going out of his way to shit on me for picking a healer. and they claimed i was trying to cyber bully them n took down my post. and on apex legends i made a joke out of a glitch i found where the game was saying i did (-40k dmg) out of 3k dmg for a challenge. (the joke was my guns was the syringe gun from tf2) n they said it was too low effort and just gloating. so yeah, while not equivalent, i do feel their pain when time, effort, and emtional trama is treated like garbage.
The fact that they’re acting like “omg he’s milking karma” says a lot about what these moderators in particular value in life😀
They uno-reverse-card-ed themselves
Life? Their life is an orange/black screen. I hate reddit mods. At least %40 of the discord mods are kind, i have never seen a good reddit mod though.
Yeah they value pizza rolls
What life? Are you telling me moderators have a thing called "life"???
That's...impossible
Exactly this! They’re kind of telling on themselves for what their reasoning would be for making this kind of post, or just that they don’t understand any form of genuine human connection. Either way, they’re clearly obsessed with Internet points that mean absolutely nothing outside of highly specific scenarios (like if you’re promoting a service or charity or something and it gets more traction)
This is proof that Reddit mods never go outside or have any physical or emotional contact with the outside world.
I thought they said no update posts but there's a moderator doing an update post... Obey your own rules Mods.
Imagine losing your loved one and someone tells you talking about it is milking it. Absolutely vile behavior. My heart goes out to Brendon
Even worse, they are implying you are milking for REDDIT KARMA. Not any sort of monetary reparations from those responsible, or donations from crowdfunding strangers touched by your story, just fucking imaginary points that shouldn't be used anyway, let alone displayed site-wide. Reddit mods lack humanity. Appropriate justice would be removing that moderator, but I honestly doubt the other moderators have the guts, with them also being unpaid powertripping e-janitors.

"Stop milking it for karma" is the subreddit moderators projecting their own cynicism onto poor Brendan. It's disappointing we've reached the point where so many people are eager to use their tragedy for internet points that they assume everyone else is too.
That's a good point. It's sad, honestly

I would have said that a cannibal should eat the moderator, but that moderator will kill you just by his disgusting smell.
Considering mojang's reach, I'm surprised they haven't had r/Minecraft shutdown and under re-administration for something like this.
They don't care. And possibly to an extent, they'd like it this way. Remember the whole thing 1.19.1 brought? They didn't care about what the community said, and they won't care about it ever.
I thought the same, this reflects really poorly on them. Big companies like having control over their game’s community, fan content, and social medias anyways, even if they’ve been doing a good job. And r/Minecraft hasn’t even been doing that.
Jappa would probably try telling us to stop milking this for karma, or some other ridicule.
As I recall, reddit actually prohibits corporations from administering their own subreddits, so that's probably why.
@@platiuscyndar9017 that may be true, but the admins of the subreddit are using a registered trademark and making comments under said trade mark. Subreddit is a very gray area when it comes to that.
This is seriously fucked up of the mods. Why did this get recommended to me again? It’s been a year.
imagine being this guy, spending your time building a memorial for your loved one and sharing it to a subreddit only for it to get deleted for a harsh and false reason

As a content moderator myself, this infuriates me to no end. This kind of thing usually happens when there's a culture in the team to basically become numb to the people they're moderating as actual individual humans. Some divorcing of your emotions from situations is certainly needed to successfully do the job (we see some VERY graphic things and have vitriol and threats thrown at us constantly), but stuff like this speaks to a bigger issue. Typically you see this in heavy troll-targeted spaces with very little care on the part of owners for supporting the mod team's emotional health, especially on skeleton teams. It ends up being a neverending cycle of overworking, negativity, and resentment of the community. Some mods will just go with it because "that's what we do" and others will step away. The fact they're not really taking this as seriously as they should speaks to the need to not rock the boat. This kind of tension almost always ends in implosion and lashing out at the community, like you see here. You can't just change the policy to fix that. When it gets that bad, the whole team needs to be replaced.
I think there’s definitely something to be said about expecting every day average Joe’s to do the work of specialists who have training and mental health resources for no training and for free is kind of insane
If you play in traffic how much should we sympathise when you get hit by a car?

Yeah, the mods on Reddit are pretty bad.
I remember I posted something on r/crappydesign about a bathroom stall at a campground with half an inch gaps between each slat in the door, consisting of 4 separate vertical slats and they removed it, citing that it wasn’t crappy design. I made eye contact with multiple people through the bathroom door when I was going to the bathroom and I accidentally saw some old guys d by accident while trying to find a stall in the first place. That’s some pretty crappy design if you ask me 🤦♂️

Plus the site is horrid anyways, if you want hell on another website there's plenty of alternatives too so no reaso' to go right?
