It took me until fire aspect 0 to understand that these are just Phoenix being Phoenix and not some cool feature.

@@The.Skettyyou're right. As far as I know, negative durability values have *never* made tools unbreakable. I have tried it in many versions across the years.
To be fair Silk Touch 0 deleting the block is a fair compromise.
Half of these are fake, the actual code for most of the enchantments doesn’t really care about the level, unless it actually changes its functionality based on the level

This is due to (x/0)*0 equalling x for any given value of x (it's also technically any other value, as all values divided by zero result in the same number)
I'm guessing unbreaking 0 would be good for adventure mode maps if you need the tool to break after 1 use.
Or you could just… ya know… use durability

I kinda wished they uncapped the enchant command so it would be much easier than having to go to an item generator or type all the enchants in yourself.

Making commands more usable doesn't seem like the Mojang MO, remember how they removed /gamemode [number] in favor of the full name.

@@JRexRegis "more usuable" isnt easy to define. id argue that changing commands to clear names instead of numbers is "more usuable" even if it may be slightly slower sometimes (considering you can autofill, its not that much slower, and also there is a literal gamemode quick switch which is way faster and easier to use)

Negative level enchantments do exist, you just need complicated give commands to get them.
Maybe negative enchants could be useful instead of just bad.
Feather Falling: Landing on an entity deals damage
Frost Walker: Lets you walk on lava.
Smite: Applies wither to non undead mobs.
Riptide: Use in lava.
Punch: Pull entities.
Flame: Metroid ice beam.
Infinity: Can't be put on bow. If put on Trident, you throw tridents like Drowned does. If put on a melee weapon, Your melee weapon is thrown to do damage.
Loyalty: Any entity can be moved to your location.
Depth Strider: Walk on the surface of water.
Flame: if you shoot a fire block, it puts the fire out.
Fortune: Can only be put on weapons, it increases the chance of equipped armor and weapon drops from mobs.
Thorns: You can stand on top of any entity.
Multishot: projectiles bounce 3 times.
Sweeping Edge: Bow only, gives wings to arrows, arrows fly straight, the wings do damage.

that's actually an interesting idea for cursed itens, instead of being enchanted and giving you benefits, it could do the complete opposite, maybe you could find it in chests or have cursed books or something
Or have a random chance for it to have an enchantment at an enchantment table go wrong, so Unbreaking would be Breaking, Protection would be Burdon, etc., etc.
If it were cursed books, no one would use it. It would be a better idea to have them get applied, with a low chance, while enchanting, and maybe while combining gear pieces, if both pieces have same enchant.
Imagine, combining two Unbreaking 2 swords, and you roll a Breaking Sword.

With the game as is, when you find cursed items you at least get to use the item, which can be beneficial in early game/speedruns, so there's a trade off

I think silk touch 0 could be useful for adventure maps where you want people to be able to break blocks but not acquire them
There's this gamerule called IIRC doTileDrops, basically you can disable/enable the dropping of blocks
you know, these could be curse versions of their normal counterparts, but to remove them, all you have to do is add the enchantment that is being zeroed
ex. if you had a sword with sharpness 0, all you have to do is add sharpness 1 and they cancel out
Mending 0 would be a great curse honestly, maybe not with XP, but just lowering the durability in general

this, this was the one that finally convinced me to subscribe, been ghost watching for so long now, but this one, it had me laughing aloud, something I rarely ever do.
there is an interesting thing i found, in version 1.14.4, you can put any enchantment on any item.
you want bedrock with respiration? thats a thing
you want a spawn egg with smite? thats also a thing
you want a crossbow with flame? thats a thing but it doesnt work

Frost walker 0 should do this: You start drowning as you usually do, but when you try to swim back up the surface of the water becomes frozen, effectively trapping you beneath.
Feather Falling 0 is basically a less durable simulation of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

from what i remember from modding, there's a class file in the game called "Enchantment" and it's inherited by every single enchantment in the game. so let's say you have SilkTouch, which extends Enchantment.
the game checks if an object instance of this enchantment is applied in the situation required, doing so if it has such.
nbt data stores the enchantment identifier & level for later
ofc i could be slightly misremembering this, but that's basically how i remember it
if i'm misremembering it, then i'm pretty sure the enchantments are global classes with returns & the nbt of the item is checked
i could check the source code of my mods and decompiled mc later if you want

Any time you upload, your video is the VERY first in my recommendations
Minecraft checks for enchantments with “[ENCHANTMENT LEVEL] >= 1” so this makes sense
I honestly didn't know this was all modded in. Of course besides the protection 0 and the fire aspect 0, as well as loyalty 0. They all looked so realistic, and I thought the obvious modded ones were just curveballs.
remember that time in one of the books they put BREAKING on something not unbreaking just straight up breaking lol.
A little concept for infinity 2,3 and 4 the higher your infinity lever the type of arrows that you can shoot for example: infinity 2 allowing slowing enchanted arrows etc

The silk touched 0 block was deleted because the game will not drop anything if there is any silk touch enchantment, but the loot table only drops if there is silk touch 1
