So I have been using the VELOSAMBA as well as the Adidas Gravel shoe for a while now. I can honestly say after months of using both shoes, I tend to gravitate towards the Gravel shoe. There are a few reasons why. I feel like the Gravel shoe is more comfortable and much lighter, I also prefer the styling of the Gravel Shoe. Maybe I will use my VELOSAMBA more in the summer but I kinda doubt it. Hope this helps anyone out there make a decision.
I just ordered a pair of these after wanting them for so long. Hopefully they can take the abuse of being a commuter/all purpose city/messenger shoe. I dont expect them to feel as stiff or supportive as a proper clipless MTB shoe, but I cant deny the balance of style and utility of these shoes. If these last nearly as long as a normal pair of Sambas, theyll be well worth it.
Great review thanks! I just bought these for $72 on what it seemed a flash sale by Adidas as these went back up to $130. Yet to try em’ on the bike. But, shoes look solid and fitted to size just fine. They feel comfortable to wear on the bike but feel sturdy to walk on for longer distance or duration.
Possibly but you don’t get the stiffness with the standard Samba. I used vans for years as cycling shoes and they are great but on really long rides that flexing sole can get a bit uncomfortable.
Yo I’m not sure if you still respond to comments but if you do … are these comfortable/work fine as a walking sneaker? I’m not a cyclist but I was just wondering if the cleats or the hole in the sole makes it unpractical for normal commuting use
Definitely not a “walking” sneaker, you can definitely walk in them easier than some cycling shoes. IMHO the sole is way too stiff to wear for casual use. Recently I tried a pair of Specialized cycling shoes that have a “flex zone” these are way more comfortable for walking unfortunately they look like cycling shoes vs these.
Didn’t you have a Lexus GX way back? Stumbled on this channel randomly again with this video, thanks for this review love these shoes. Definitely going to order.
Yes I did, unfortunately the GX was totaled out smh. We have two 100 series Landcruisers now and we absolutely love them! Thanks for watching commenting and subscribing!
Is Kathy also a 6.5 in other shoes? I’m a 6.5 in superstars but I’ve seen people say to size up half a size and others say to size down half a size. Would you say it’s true to size?
These are such a great idea, back in the old days and with most racing style shoes, they were impossible to walk in. If you had to walk up a hill, or even on a solid floor, it was like being on ice & not comfortable. I now have a pair of Giro Rumble for my Road & MB and they are fine, but not for a lot of walking, these seem much better idea for general riding/commuting/work rides etc just need to check what size will fit my feet, but I'm yet to see any in store which is a pain
They are pretty decent to walk around in but i still found them a little too stiff for “normal” use. I think these definitely lean more towards cycling for sure. I would get a bit of annoying heel slip do to the stiffness.
@@KRTLyfe I wonder if the David Millar CHPT3 Transit shoes will be any better? They are double the price, but are designed by someone at Adidas, be good to see a comparison
@@biggdaps sorry just seeing this. So I used mine everyday around the house, traveling etc. One day the top, the band that goes over your foot started to split on mine.

I think they will last a decent amount of time, depending on how hard you are on them.
Great review thanks!

Mine cost $34.99 at Burlington. Superstars were only $19.99, but only in size 19.
Nice info guys, its time for a nice Autumn ride in the country side in the Cruiser also Reza we are back on top in F1!!!
Yes sir! It’s been a close battle this year but, hopefully we will have some good pace in this last bit of the season!
If you're not using cleats then wouldn't you be just better off with a standard Samba?

Really nice shoes for commuting, the sole is a little bit stiff for longer rides.
Got mines for 90 bucks during labor day weekend ✌️
WOW, that is a great deal!!!!!! Awesome.

Just noticed your Kenyan bracelet! Awesome
Thank you!
I paid $37.99 for my White, Magenta, and Blue pair at Burlington.
Wow you got super lucky, what a find!
Thanks for the info. Can you send a link to the sunglasses Kathy has on?
We got them on Amazon unfortunately they are not available anymore but you can try the Oakley Sutro. They are pretty good but a lot more expensive.

I would say go true to size.
I'm a 9 uk and I had to go 9.5, 9 way too tight.

what are the shades y'all are wearing? Very style-y! thanks in advance!
We found them on Amazon but they aren’t available anymore. They are some no name Oakley reps.
@@KRTLyfe thanks for the update! Enjoy the ride!
Спасибо за обзор 👍🏻
Do you still use the gucci slides?
Mine split after 3-4 years of use. My wife still has hers tho.
@@KRTLyfe Aw dang! How much did you use them?
@@KRTLyfe And how did they split?
