Trying to decide between these and the Kursk AW 2.0 PRO for a casual clipless sneaker.... Thanks for this! Still undecided but this definitely helps.
The kursk do look nice, just comes down to which style you prefer. Would love for some vans, there’s a French designer who makes his own. Thank you for watching 🙏🏼
Great review! I was thinking to get it or not, riding with my T line. Thanks bro. Subscribed! Comment and Like!
Thanks Dash! Really appreciate it!! They are great comfy shoes and would be great with your T line
Great video dude and allayed my fears regarding the shoe's wearability. I would just say that laying your bike on it's right side like that will eventually lead to you bending the hanger and knocking your gear index out of whack.
They are still going strong and using a lot. Wish they brought out a goretex version for when it rains. Thanks man will bare that in mind next time.
Thanks for the review. The non-breathable aspect would be great for colder weather rides. Also, the Giro Empires are a lace shoe and are great for riding and even racing so that does not seem like a deal breakerl. They also have a lot of great reviews.
Thanks for watching!! The giros would be a better performance shoe. The adidas is aimed as a casual shoe to go round your local city and now look like cycling shoes. The giros do look very good! Did you go for them?
If your a collector of Adidas trainers like myself there worth to buy not matter what I've a pair of yellow and blue stripe ones and great just for casual wear to
Adidas do some great shoes, I might get a version without the cleat just to wear out!
Great video :) How do they fair in the rain?
Thanks Colin, in light rain they are fine heavy rain will soak through! Wish they did a gore tex version. They have brought out a winter version which is warmer and has reflective built in but not waterproof.
How is it when walking on concrete, tiles? Do you feel the cleat touching the floor?
You can on uneven surfaces and if there are small stones! You get used to it pretty quickly.
Nike Air Max 90s SPD would be a dream 😂
Are these OK to walk in? Some say they are not and some say they are 🤷♂️
That would be a sick spd shoe!
They are ok, easier to walk in than stiff mtb cycling shoes. But you can still feel the cleat when on mixed surfaces
Am I the only one that have issue about the sole that ruin due to cleat spacer scratch the sole since the spacer it self has sharp surface?
That hasn’t happened to mine, been using mine a lot recently and had them for over a year.
have them love them
I’m still using them and great to cycle and go out in
For some reason I feel like I may have incorrectly installed my cleat. I feel it on cement
I get that if I’m walking over stoney paths. You will still always feel it though, won’t be like a normal shoe.
Thanks Dan, what size you recommend, exact size or one size up for this shoes ?
Thanks for watching, I’d say go a size up. I went a half size up and still abit tight
Could you use these on flat pedals?
I use it on a daily basis for work commute with mixed pedals. When I carry my son I use the flat side : no problem.
What brand of helmet is that?
It's the bontrager Circuit wavecel helmet
Thanks for the review-I think I will give them a miss (breathability etc)-very cool though! Maybe good urban shoe, on a sunny day :)
No worries and thank you for watching. Are you looking for a casual clip in shoe or something with better performance? For the same prove I struggled to find and spd shoe that looked good (style wise) maybe they will perform a lot better.
@@DanEscapes Something with better performance-getting back into MTB. Adidas Five ten hellcat pro mountain bike shoes?
Looks secondary of course ;)
@@Barry101er Nice, I’m still running flats on my mtb. Haven’t felt like I needed clips when on the trails. FiveTens definitely a good route to go down. I saw some shimano shoes that looked pretty decent for mtb but can’t remember the name
what bike were you riding here?
I’m using the Trek Checkpoint SL5
What’s your phone mount thank you
I use quad lock out front mount and it’s a quad lock case! Love it!
Is good for hot weather?
They do heat up so definitely wear thin/moisture wicking socks!
1:17min... drivetrain side, really?
It’s good for the bike! Means you can update your group set regularly. Tbh I’ve crashed loads on my gravel bike and mountain bike and haven’t had any issue with the derailleurs. They’re designed to take a lot of power through and your mech hanger will take the brunt, people will be disgusted how I treat my bikes.
First ones i ordered have terrible toe overlap
Did you try another pair?
