Everyone is talking about the "no makeup makeup" look these days. It seems to be a new craze, but you and I have been doing this all our lives! My mother would always tell me, "That's enough" about makeup, perfume and jewelry and she was so right. She had a wonderful eye and knew instinctively what worked. I didn't have a daughter, but I know I would have taught her the same way, because the goal is to enhance your body, not camouflage it! As the old saying goes, "You don't want your dress (etc) to walk in the room before you do!!"

I decided I wanted to take care of my face as early as 18 years old.
I also rotate my creams as you do. Once I finish one line, I switch to another but I always rotate the same brands (L’Oreal, L’Occitane and Nuxe).
There are 2 products I can’t live without: Nuxe huile prodigieuse and Caudalie elixir.
After washing my face I spray Caudalie, then original Nuxe (it’s wonderful fragrance is like an aromatherapy treatment in itself!), then the cream and just before I get off my car, sunscreen with bb cream (who said men can’t wear some color? ). After all I don’t want to look perfect because perfection is unnatural but I like to look great.
And well those little things really make a difference on how you look. No one could say I’m almost 48!😸
By the way I adored your turbant, you looked like a Hollywood golden age star!

I love Nuxe products. My favorite line is Reve de Miel. They smell delicious! I love the cleanser and the rich moisturizer.
I like using a drop of facial oil in my moisturizer too. I actually made my own using vitamin E raspberry jojoba rosehip baobab helichrysum and German camomile. I use it in my hair conditioner and sometimes in dry hair. And yes just a drop. 😊

Marie-Anne Lecoeur - I don’t think you could possibly lead us astray Marie-Anne - you have such good taste. The trouble with the “expert” advice is that it is almost stage make up, too heavy, too complicated, and makes an ordinary person look like a clown. And it is too complicated.
My message posted itself too soon - I was still editing. I was about to add that what I think a lot of us appreciate about you Marie-Anne, is that you are grown up - perhaps of the same age as most of us out here - and help us achieve classic good looks, rather than glamour

RUclips has a few videos for applying make-up over a certain age. Usually with a lighter touch. Bobbie Brown has one, just as an example.

i have both oils. i've been reluctant to use the gold, but will try mixing it with my base. i love using the clear right after my shower on my face and in my hair. the scent is so nice and summertime.

Many years ago, I bought mine from Sasa at Hong Kong with no idea how good it is. Just loved that sense. And my country is too hot and humid to wear oil in day time.
I have never used a dry oil but I am considering it I especially like how you mixed the moisturizer the BB cream in the oil I’ve never done make up that way I always put each one on separately it makes a lot of sense

I bought NUXE! It is so luxurious. The gold, the fragrance, a very versatile beauty product. I just got a pixie cut and use NUXE in my hair. It is better than hair styling products.

I use the Nuxe dry oil and love it. I haven't tried the Shimmer. I'm glad you mentioned that you have to shake it up to mix the particles. I love to put it n my chest area when wearing a nice dress. Thanks for doing this!
I am a subscriber and found this. I bought this product quite some time ago, never used because I had no idea what to do with it. I am 65 and do not want foundation on my face, cc yes and tinted moisturiser along with high sunscreen as I live in Australia. I will try your suggestions.
Because of your video I bought my first purchase of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. LOVE IT!!!!!!! Oh I love it so much. There was a package deal at the time, so I bought the bottle with the gold micro flecks and the floral scented oil. The fragrance is very delicate and oil is sooo light. I never knew oil could feel so non-greasy. It's my new favorite. I can't wait to try the Vichy line and other products you mentioned. Thank you for introducing a little bit of French style and living to my day.
Bonjour Marie-Anne, yes I have been using Nuxe oil, the one without the gold particles though. I put it through the ends of my hair to stop it frizzing. Seems to help anyway.

You look beautiful, as always. I like the short hair with soft wispy bits. I would love to be able to wear minimal makeup and I do in the evenings but during the day in California it has to be two layers of sunscreen, then foundation and a hat or the dreaded brown spots appear!

I love Nuxe. Already have the regular hair/skin/face oil one without the gold sparkle. I use it after body lotion and hair products. Just as a finishing touch on my skin and my hair. I don’t use it on my face, my skin is too sensitive and acne prone. I might get the gold sparkle to use the body like shoulders and legs and hair. I’m black so it works very well with my skin.

Merci, MarieAnne. Yes, I discovered this and several other Nuxe products at the pharmacie the last time we were in Paris, and have been using them ever since. I am particularly fond of the Prodigeuse perfume. These items have a lovely fragrance. Thank you for discussing the use of the huille. I use it in a similar way to your suggestions and it's natural and flattering. These are excellent products and reasonably priced. They are a little bit tricky to locate in the US, but most of the time, I'm able to find them on a website, but no longer in the stores.

Marie Anne I really, really like your less is more make up and on a daily basis I pretty much use makeup as you do...however I find that over 40 blush is really important...a tiny bit, but it's a game changer in illuminating the eyes and lifting the face. Thank you ciaooo!

I am so lucky that the Nuxe line is available in Canada. I purchased the oil with the gold flecks after your video on Avene and Nuxe. I absolutely love it! I have that Nuxe Huile Produgieuse! And I use it in the summer over my tan but now you've given me the greatest idea to wear it with my foundation during these months. You have amazing skin! I have seen Nuxe in the shops but I only let La Roche Posay products near my face. I have very sensitive skin and have had bad reactions to so many brands alas. Unfortunately, a lot of the more natural skincare products cause the worst reactions as I seem to have a problem with some oils and plant ingredients. I am so glad LRP is now widely available in the UK!
maybe try the 'creme fraiche' if you can get a sample ....

Then you should avoid this oil. It is perfumed. And due to codecheck also has a potent allergene in it...
@@schneeroseful Thanks. I do find that so many of these beloved products are full of ingredients that are bad for sensitive skin alas. People are always recommending Liz Earle products to me because they are perceived as 'natural' but they are absolutely full of ingredients that upset sensitive skin.
