Thank you for the nice hint to refrigerate products for summer. I keep perfumes & nail polish in the refrigerator, they last for years so I have the excuse to buy a big variety.

here in brazil it is very easy to find all these products, any good pharmacy has Avene, Vichy, La roche ... Lancome and others in good beauty stores.
The biafine has another names, but is the same active ingredient: Trolamine salicycate.
We like a lot red lipsstick and red or nude nails, and long nails are vulgar for us too.

Fre’de’rique, Thank you so much for your beautiful help. Sometimes I tear up because you share your “secrets” , do it with truth , humor and from the heart. Of course we need the products, but it’s your heart that makes me want to try something or make a needed change. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

These are all amazing products! My first experience with most of them was when, as a teenager, I became friends with a French exchange student. She taught me all about French beauty, and it’s been a lifelong love of everything French ever since 💕

I spent much of my childhood in France. The first products I was given as a child was rose water and tartine et chocolat perfume. My mum then taught me how to take care of my skin. I now use bioderma, la roche posay, a313 and caudalie on repeat. I live in the UK but swear by my French skincare, beauty regimes and my french way of dressing. I prefer to have less but better quality. I always feel groomed and put together. Vive La France ❤

Just an FYI - all these French products sold in the US have different sunscreen filters in them than the ones available in Europe (not as good). If you want the originals you have to get them IN Europe or if you live in a border state you can get the good filters in Canada and Mexico. It’s really sad.
But I also wanted to say - I love finding a new Frédérique video at the end of a long busy day! It’s like catching up with a bestie!!

I am of both American and French Nationality. I have La Roche-Posay Thermal Water in my skin care regimen! My aesthetician showed it to me and I thought right away, “This is is so French!” All my skin care products here in the the States come from my aesthetician so there is also Obagi, Skin Ceuticals, Skin Medica and Alastin. Love the words “Effet Mordu.” Merci pour votre contribution!

I haven't tried the mascara, but will get some soon. Thank you! This is your best video yet.

Your skin looks great. Love the way French women take care of their skin & body. When we were there I was amazed at how little make up they use & they still look great. They do eat a lot of bread & pastry & still look thin. I noticed they eat a lot of salads , cheese & drink wine.💖🇺🇸 Pamela

I super love this vlog! I love using French beauty products like Avene, Lancome,Nuxe, Clarins and the perfume of Chanel. All the products you recommended are available here in the Philippines. I feel lucky to have been exposed early in the wonderful skincare products of the French. I learned that to have a beautiful appearance one must focus on the basics which is skincare and use reputable brands for it. It is an investment but all worth it. You dont need to pile on make up if you have a great skin. I adhere to a French girl lazy beauty rule. Red lipstick, nice skin and not so perfect hair. Beauty must be effortless but it requires discipline. Love your content, Frederique ! Thanks heaps .

I use the Nuxe gold on my hair. It's perfect for giving a bit of definition to curls, I mix it with wet hands and then kind of pull it through the tips of my hair. Mind you I am strawberry blonde :)
La Roche Posay and Avene are my staples, but Nivea is what works at night with a light mist of Avene under it. I used Chanel skin products for some time as they didn't react with my hyper sensitive skin, but then I saw that there was PABA in the sunscreen. The consultant didn't believe it til I showed her. I've had laser resurfacing (Mixto) and La Roche Posay Anthelios is the best face sunscreen, it just works and you don't even know it's there.
BTW, still on the hunt for a mascara that is just basically colour. I've always bought the blue Cover Girl one and it's hard to get now. I don't need clumps and length, just a bit of colour really. The Loreal I bought could be used to fill cracks in the asphalt!

Hi Heather, just a thought: if you are not looking for mascara to add any volume, length or curl to your lashes, have you thought about getting your lashes tinted and lifted instead of using mascara? This might give you the effect you’re looking for.

    • @hiannahgus574
      @hiannahgus574 2 года назад

@heather: Maybelline's Great Lash mascara basically colors the lashes without adding volume or length. It may work for you.

Oooh, Nuxe! I have been using it for several years. Such a gorgeous fragrance - and so lovely on your skin. There is now a dedicated floral dry oil too (which is pale pink) which can easily double as a light day perfume. I love Nuxe's Reve de Miel body cream/body butter too. Great coverage and very moisturising. What about the Embryolisse Last-Crème Concentré? I use it as a skin primer and also as a masque. Now to source Biafine in Australia 🤔

I use the Avene Thermal water like this: after cleansing I don't dry my face, instead, I spray it with Avene water. After about 30 seconds I apply a hyaluronic acid serum, I like Hada Labo HA lotion. After about a minute, I seal it in with moisturizer. I use the Hada Labo milk or Embryolisse usually. When that has dried down I then apply my spf for daytime, or I may follow with treatments at night. The key is to get hyaluronic acid serum onto wet skin, and then seal it with moisturizer before it evaporates. I think the Thermal water helps to lower the ph just a shade, and it does seem to help healing spots of irritation. Love you Frederique 🙂❤

I felt so proud that I had several of these brands. I did a lot of research and found these brands. I have extremely fair skin. These products have brought my skin back to life. I do use Botox on the forehead and crow’s feet. But my skin now looks more fresh and smoother. Half the time I just have to use light makeup on the eyes with a little blush on the cheeks and I am done. I love Pixie mascara in brown. I am a red head and it achieves a more natural look.

I HAVE Biafine but i use it for oven burns as i am a pastry chef. I discovered this product whilst studying in Paris. I didn't know i could use it as a mask. That is incredible. Going to try it right now. Thank you for sharing your secret Frederique.
I am proud to say i have used products from all the the companies mentioned above except RoC. I am not sure they are a French brand anymore. I think they were bought by an American Company.
Anyhoo, my favourite high end French brand will always be Sisley. I use their skincare and haircare and make up too. I love, love , love their products. I will always stay loyal to them.
Nuxe honey shower gel, always reminds me of Paris, as i used it religiously when living there.
Embryolisse hand cream is another love of my life. Great on the face too esp in winter.
BTW Frederique, the mascara you recommended..the Telescopic one, is amazing. Will never use another one. Also last but no the least, you looking exceptionally lover and tre chic in this top.

Hello I use many products from these brands, thanks for sharing your experience.
I'm Portuguese and here in Portugal we also use Biafine a lot.
Biafine has saved me many times from burns in the kitchen, scratches, the redness that I have with age, ...
I always have my tube in the fridge, I always apply it fresh on the skin! The sensation is wonderful and incredible as my skin is so oily, it absorbs Biafine so well, without getting oily.
Biafine is always the emulsion I apply on my face and neck after a summer day spent at the beach or pool (or sun exposure)!
I do biafine night mask 1x/week all year round!
    kisses
    Maria

I've lived in France for 25 years and I use nearly all of these products or brands - my cleanser is Avène XeraCalm oil, my mascara is La Roche Posay Toleriane or Avène Couvrance, I always have a tube of Biafine on hand (though I haven't tried it as a mask!), and the Nuxe oil. I use CeraVe Baume Hydratante as my moisturiser and night cream - it is wonderful, more like a thin wax than a cream, not greasy or oily at all. As my sunblock I use what my dermo ordered - Daylong Actinica, which is Swiss. My red lipstick is Chanel, my pink one is BoHo Green, my lip balm is Klorane, my foundation is Maybelline, my face powder is Caron. I also like Dr Pierre Ricaud products, and Decléor. When in doubt, I always head for the pharmacie. And for perfume - Serge Lutens is perhaps my favourite brand.

Hi Frederique. I use Avene body lotion and it is the body lotion for an older skin I have ever used. Well worth the money. I also use the thermal water. So refreshing. Cheers to you. Bev xx ♥️

.... Runs to the bathroom to get the Biafine .... I didn't know that! I have this huge Biafine tube which I bought in a French pharmacy when indeed I had some sunburn, and this is what was advised. Merci Frédérique, I'll take a masque this weekend with Biafine ❤

I remember saving up my money as a teenager to purchase Evian water spray. I just knew it would make me gorgeous! 😃
I started taking good care of my skin at an early age. Never perfect, but always taking care with cleansing and moisturizing. I did however love my outdoors, and lots of sun exposure. (worked in the Caribbean) If I did not use sunscreen I would have burned to a crisp. I feel lucky my skin isn't worse than it is, even with the use of SPF.
I have yet to try anything by Avene but have only heard good things.
This is my first time here and I LOVE your very european esthetic. Very classic. Especially the black & white. 💖
Pharmacies abroad are so much fun to shop!
As a blonde with blue eyes, pale skin, I occasionally use red lipstick, but my preference is always pink.
    (it's not as harsh looking)
Nuxe was also something I purchased years ago, but never repurchased.
PS) I thought for sure Decleor would be on your list. I loved their aromatic oil especially. Smelled so lovely. And the oil was beautiful on face and body. Wish they would bring it back.
See you again. Enjoy your day 🌿🕊️💕🌍

Nuxe is the best! I use their eye cream, Nuxellence detox and the reve de miele lip balm. It’s been so hard to get their products here. But, finally online retailers have come through.

Oh yes Frederique, Nuxe oil is my most favourite treat to myself. I first found and tried it 7 years ago and I adore it. As you say, the scent is heavenly. It is something I want to spoil myself with forever. And I also love L'Oréal. Fantastic products and pricing. Thanks for sharing. 💐

I gave Nuxe oil to a friend who mistook it for perfume and used it accordingly. That’s how great it smells.

I, too am addicted to Nuxe oil. I also wear it to bed because it makes my skin soft and my sheets smell so yummy. I use the gold one on my legs and arms, especially in the summer. Recently, I found that they make a very reasonably priced cologne, so I use that, too. Love it! Next time I go to France my first stop (after the boulangerie) will be the pharmacy for all those wonderful products. For now, I get them from Amazon.
