"ENTJs might not even view themselves as extroverts." Hitting the nail on the head! ENTJ here and that's exactly how I feel. I actually feel like I'm more of an introvert in my personal life and only switch to my extroverted side for work or socializing.

I hadn't even realized how much I wore black and gray and loose T-shirts and jeans/sweats every day, very dark navy shirts at my "most colorful") until she pointed it out; even then I didn't see the problem with it for quite awhile. Entjs when they are young can often be quite introverted because they are in their Isfp subconscious. As they get to high school or college that's when Te really kicks in and they become the over achievers they are. It's common, while you are growing up, to be stuck in your subconscious or unconscious depending on your development and environment. So that young they may not seem like an Entj at first.

@@sash8099 I watched one more video on ENTJ vs INTJ and got complete clarity about what actually happened to me. I came to know that both ENTJ and INTJ have the same cognitive functions but are arranged in different orders. So whenever an ENTJ starts developing himself and getting mature overtime, he may start developing his introverted functions and it will be almost impossible for anyone to distinguish between him and an INTJ. Similar thing happens with an INTJ, INTJ doesn't actually prefer to be in the spotlight but have the capability to lead, but they don't have these leadership skills developed when they are younger. As time passes and they mature overtime, they will start developing their extroverted functions. Note: INTJ will try/start developing these extroverted traits if and only if someone tells him to do so or something major happens in his life that made him feel he should not feel so introverted. That's exactly what happened with me 6-8 months prior, a major incident happened (I don't want to share that, it's a little bit personal), and I felt the need to develop my extroverted skills and over time when I came to know about the MBTI test I scored ENTJ. And when I started searching on RUclips what does that actually means I came up with one more personality type, INTJ, which I can relate with. That got me confused if I am ENTJ or INTJ. As an INTJ I think I have some ENTJ traits or aspirations, but I always fall back in my crazy. I try to get out and do stuff but end up with 10 unfinished projects and no energy to do any of them. I take on alot of projects at work and then worry all day that I'm not going to finish them and then realize I have wasted hours on thinking about the ramifications of not finishing them. Ppl at work love me and always want to talk and see what ideas I have, it burns me out so fast. I walk fast, work fast, learn fast, burn fast. I wear different shades of dark colors with white for pop. My favorite color is red, has been from early childhood but as an accent color like with black. So all that said I guess I'm just an INTJ after all.

I'm ENFP and I know an ENTJ and even though we ReaLLy clicked when we met and we can intellectually connect, I somewhat can't relate with many aspects of who he is. I have an other friend (romantic lover friend) and we get along a LOT ! When I asked him what was is MBTI type, he said "I think I'm an ENTJ" and I said "are you sure you're not an INTJ ?". He said :" could be but I don't remember". I think he's INTJ and that maybe, just like you, he might have got both types mixed as he is a CEO doing "big things" with many responsibilities. I think his very driven parents (he's in his 40s now) might have pushed him to be a very mature INTJ and that's why he might associate with being a ENTJ (a mature one i'm sure). Anyway, maybe swing if you have a lot of ENFP friends that you like, might give you a better idea of if you're INTJ or ENTJ.
ENFP & INTJ vs ENFP & ENTJ are quite different relationships from my understanding (also based on what others are saying).

    • @hany___
      @hany___ 2 года назад

While everything you said is true, the fact of the matter is you need to figure out the order in which you use the cognitive functions, as you already know :
      *Ni-Te-Fi-Se ➙ INTJ*
      • Your dominant function is Ni. You make decisions based on your (internal) feeling of what will likely happen in the future. You prefer to minimize the risk of faliure and foresee everything that could likely go wrong. Being Ni > Te, everything you do serves a higher purpose of your singular vision or Ni.
      • Your auxiliary function is Te. You use your Te in order to make that vision reality, however, your usage of Te is limited to your Ni vision. Te is like a tool you use to build your vision once Ni has finished constructing it.
      • Your tertiary function is Fi. It may feel underdeveloped since it's in the third slot, but it's there. Fi is concerned with your own internal moral values and doing what you believe is the right thing. Having it in the third slot means you'll be more in tune with your own values and what's truly important to you personally.
      • Your last function is Se. Your last function also known as the inferior function is the least developed function and usually the one you turn to when under extreme stress. If Se is your last function you'll feel sensitive to oversensory activities, for example the inability to think clearly in a loud environment such as a party. If under extreme stress you see yourself indulge in oversensory activities (bad habits) like gambling, partying, smoking etc. Your last function could be Se.
      *Te-Ni-Se-Fi ➙ ENTJ*
      • Your dominant function is Te, this means you prefer to structure, organize and impact the external world, the world around you. You take logical facts from the external world and use them in order to organize and plan for what will likely happen in the future based on the logic you observed.
      • Your auxiliary function is Ni. Your usage of Ni is merely to keep up with the demands of you dominant Te and to keep the Te busy. Ni is primarily used as a tool to create goals for Te to work towards, being Te > Ni means being more action oriented and worrying less about whether the vision or the plan is perfect, if it's workable it's good enough.
      • Your tertiary function is Se. In this case Se is used to support the dominant function Te, thanks to Se being in the third slot you are observant and aware of your surroundings, which helps you pick up logical inconsistencies in the external world.
      • Your last function is Fi. This is probably the only weakness of this type. Fi as the inferior function means that you won't be in touch with your own emotions, you won't pay much attention to the moral values of your actions or what is truly important to you. You likely believe or are the strong believer of the saying "The end justifies the means". You would do whatever it takes to achieve the ends even if it means stepping out of your moral boundaries. This doesn't necessarily mean you'll see people as tools or pawns you can sacrafice for the sake of your goals (although this does apply for the unhealthy types). In the case of a healthy type it means you'll be hesitant, unwilling to conform social norms and / or rules which are illogical, you'll often find loopholes or ways around following these rules while also avoiding the negative consequences. Inferior function is the one you usually turn to under extreme stress, in the case of Fi inferior it will make you look down on others, it can make you underestimate people around you. You are also prone to overthinking situations under the extreme stress.
I hope this helped, fellow INFJ

I don’t know if others experienced this- but as a child I was definitely criticised by both other children and adults for my leading Ni, thus I usually let my Te meet other people on first impression. When I’m in group work for a project or anything I can definitely start to act somewhat like an entj for sure, but during unhealthy times I’ll go into my little intj bubble. Oh and the decision making talk? so freaking relatable. Nothing is more infuriating than when I meticulously plan something and spend so long deciding something based on different situations in my head, and then someone goes, “Well, let’s just do this instead.” It drives me crazy.

Interesting 🤔 ENTJ here but spent plenty of years alone so boy did I get a chance to develop my inner self. Now its like I dont wanna talk to people cuz people suck but at the same time can't help but talking n have a need for being social. It's super controllable as to WHO I talk tho🌻
Example: in a room full of people I can keep my mouth shut the entire time-until something pisses me off or something needs to be "done" in order to keep thing moving along then oooooooffff can I talk/annoy people with ease😂

This is such a good analysis! I am an intj and I went out with an entj guy for a while. We met in school before he asked me out so I was able to observe the way he worked. I agree with everything you said except for maybe the fashion choices. He did wear all neutrals as well, nothing very outlandish. But if you're referring to the fact that they wear more colours outside black then yes that is true. I wear black all the time 🤣

Great video. I would switch your description of ENTJ as bolder when it comes to aesthetics and style. INTJ are more fulfilled by originality than an ENTJ is, and as an extrovert they don’t spend enough time on their own to see the utility of developing a personal style. Both types lean toward minimalism and low effort Living but ENTJ are dressing for what they have to dress for, their dress is just the necessary equipment for their external goals.

Can i be extrovert with no friends?
I dont have friend bc i study a lot. But i really need friends. I like to joke, i like attention, i like talking if im interested in theme and i like to do crazy things. But i rather shy with people who are older than me. And i find many people boring bc i have always liked freaks or bright, interesting people.
I really like to compete, I like to be a leader, I like to be the best. But I feel insecure, because I'm not the best and I'm not a leader. So I don't understand I am entj or intj. But as a child, I was quite sociable.
    Who Am I?

I am also like this and I think I may be an ENTJ but with severe trauma.
I also thought I am an INTJ but actually I don't like being alone. If I stay alone for too much time I am getting drained and have a depressed mood so I like to be around people but the problem is that I had social anxiety for a loong time and now I don't know how to talk to others because I am not used to do that and I don't like to give a weird impression to others so I remain the silent person who actually seeks relationships. I also thought I am an INTJ because the trauma forced me to develop my introverted functions more than my extraverted ones but I don't feel comfortable like that.
(Maybe you can relate at least a bit)

This is quite a good video, but as with most ENTj related content, it only represents one side of the ENTj which is on the side of the popular stereotype. ( Which is always highly Americanised.) The reality of TeNi efficiency is for many ENTjs is it will look more like laziness to many people, combined with Si PoLR this can become an intense dislike of engaging with the world in any conventional manner whatsoever, which is why the old Socionics nickname for the ENTj is Jack London. Many ESTp's are likewise mistyped as ENTj.

4:30 I was confused if I was an intj or an intp..I relate to intj a lot more but I've seen people saying that intj are organised and get things done, so I thought I was an intp (but I don't really relate to intps) as I can't get things done and would procrastinate (I've been procrastinating a lot since I got into severe depression). Now I'm clear :)
Btw I'm here to get to know more about intjs.

i used to be very bossy and 'involved' during my childhood which resulted in massive abandonment and hatred. hence why i started abandoning my extroverted functions early on to adapt and like the lack of presence of people in my life. i think important events during someone's childhood could affect the I/E axis.

According to this, I'm super INTJ... as a child, I was super quiet and pensive. But I like art and colors (like earthy rich colors)... I've also somehow convinced a few people to believe I'm an extrovert (it doesn't come naturally though, I really have to *push* myself out of my comfort zone... meh)

As a little girl, I would often spent the whole afternoon watching ants and trying to find patterns, you know I lured them out with sugar and see where they went and how they find their way home...So definitely Ni I guess. But I would also picture a kingdom of ants where I was the king, well, not the king, there would be a king and I would be the one who's controlling that king. Does that show a little bit of Te as well?

You pivot when you realise the optimal solution isn’t, bc it didn’t survive the impact w reality/new unaccounted for info came in.
ENTJs are way more willing to adapt to new info, to revise on the fly. INTJs takes longer to pivot, If at all

Okay, i feel like i might be a little in the middle. As a kid I was happier, eager to talk to others and I couldn't really sit still for long. I was more vocal but not exactly social. In junior high and high school i was pushed into introversion and now I feel more energized with social interaction more than when i was a kid.
I did boss my siblings around, though there was one that always resisted me and wanted to be boss so there was a rivalry for a long time that idk if it died yet... but does this make me ENTJ or INTJ because i didn't exactly love planning things as a kid i just didn't think about that then

The number one reason INTJs don't have energy is because they are trying to economize energy. That's good for a machine, but a biological entity gains energy through hypertrophy, lung expansion, brain oxygenation, and so on.
