I just wanted to give you a shout out. The way you have structured these videos and the approach you take to explaining them is laudable. Laying down the historical foundations first and then getting more and more contemporary and finally your collage at the end--its marvelous and really helps to get the main points across. I'm finding it very useful to help me understand my own shadow functions a little better as they can be quite nebulous.

My greatest inspirations come when I'm moving my body, and simultaneously listening to a challenging podcast. With my body engaged and my mind distracted, my intuition bubbles up an insight. My second greatest inspirations come mid-morning while I'm sitting in a chair thinking about absolutely nothing. My third greatest source of inspiration happens during prayer. As I am pursuing God through worship an insight or revelation or direction will pop into my head. Yep. I'm an intuitive. LOL!😆 I've seen many videos on intjs. This one is stellar. I love all the quotes. I'm often accused or complimented as being smart or intellectual. I don't think people really have any idea. I don't think I really have any idea. It's a gift. It just happens.😇

Introverted intuition is really good at taking gobs of data points and distilling then down to their essence to form an internal theory of everything, per whichever category it belongs, and plus a couple ways to tie it to yet another thing. And extraverted intuition, takes one thing and blows it up to add many pieces and possible uses, and possibilities as possible. That's why Ne loves Ni.... Ni helps them focus, and Ne helps Ni look outside the Ti framework.
Yeah some of that is really accurate but to a really limited degree. I feel like whichever doctor was writing the skathing review of introverted intuition had either a child or a spouse with Ni hero and was really working out their distaste for Ni.

introverted intuition is very abstract thought process that really only is useful when thinking about an object/idea, like a therapist being able to
see into the life of another without actually living that exact life, or like an investor putting together thousands of bits of economic data general and specific and making a prediction. It brings inspirations together to see all sides of it.

I'm INFJ & as far as clothing and styles go, I kinda just dress accordingly to the occasion. I definitely do gravitate towards solids and dark or neutral pallets but style and boldness varies depending on where I'm at and what I'm doing, the people around and how they're anticipated to be dressed. A very thorough series! The quotes you selected for this function are clearly well thought out as this has never been an easy function to describe. I enjoy the idea that Ni does what Ne does but inwardly trajected. I know a lot of articles relate Ni to being convergent thinking and Ne with divergent thinking, but it's quite clear both functions are capable of doing both. Just the way in which they go about it are antithetical.
I never would have thought the "Ebb and flow" was associated with Ni but it all makes sense now. Though when I think about it, I'm not sure what other function I would attribute it too aside from Fi. In the Socionics interpretation, Ni is conflated with much of Myers-Briggs Fi interpretation.
As someone who loops between Ni and Ti, that lack of external influence hits far too close to home. In fact, I find myself lamenting my function preference at times as both high Ne and Te users tend to be the prolific I've had a pleasure of coming across. Espeically Te as I don't know how their brains can assimilate that sort of information (it's low key scary) as concisely as they do. Unfortunately, with Fe as a second function, it makes trying to follow a subjective vision difficult because I know how others feel about things, their perspectives on life, and what topics of my view can make them uncomfortable. And while I don't have Te, if there's one thing that's becoming increasingly apparent to me it's that I acquire that quick, nearly magical commanding attitude during heated group conflicts. Thank you Fe, for doing what I wish I could do in non human related manners. Thank you for being a near-useless function for my vision xD It's one of those scenarios where you wish you were given a different brain at times simply so you could remove yourself from the current predicament. Although I will say, trying to get in touch with Se has helped combat some of these issues, but it's a long road ahead. And disclaimer, dissing Fe is mostly a joke, but if I could trade Fe-Ti for Te-Fi things would probably be a lot easier.

Although the term image is used, it is in a way metaphorical
Intuition as far as i know is basically empty and it's guiding "light" is weird
It's as if you walked a path but you can't see the path, yet you arrive there anyways
It's like racking your brains for something, somehow grasping it then through some abstraction able to understand it
It's asking for a certain dream before going to bed, then getting that dream
The problem about this process is that it skips a bunch of steps making the information gained incomplete in the sense that you can't trace the steps particularly well
I wouldn't say that intuition is particularly more unconscious than sensing though, it's rather that the means through which you access it is not as concrete hence describing it becomes less accurate
It's similar to the a-priori problem in philosophy where you are looking for the knowledge that is before any experiential data

    • @BuizelCream

I like the way you described intuition. I totally resonate with a lot! x3
Over the years, I have tried to learn some valuable communication and analytical skills for me to be able to trace back those steps that I skipped as to how I got those kinds of insights based on Ni, like asking the right kind of questions, in order to guide the listener/reader to these insights that I gained that may benefit them.
It's like trying to rediscover what were the solutions my intuition used to get there.

Idea 💡 an 8 part series of similar structure addressing the 8 cognitive function positions and how the cognitive functions manifest themselves differently within the context of each position…dominant, auxiliary, tertiary, inferior, oppositional, critical parent, trickster, demon. Easy/accessible/accurate/summary…if Ni/Te doesn’t get it done, who will? Not Ni/Ti 😔 ( I am preoccupied with a plethora of meaninglessness in this universe in which to put deep meaning to, ha)

I’d like to see your take on function order/stack (1-8).
As I’ve been looking more closely at these functions and how they show up for various types, I’ve been noticing very interesting patterns exemplified in my life and the lives of those around me, all seemingly tied to function order.
For example, the different ways that my wife (Ne Fi) and I (Fi Ne) use and interact with art/media, which we both care about deeply, has led me to think that the 2nd function actually flows out of the 1st. I see and use and analyze art/media as an expression/sharing of values/meaning (Fi fueling Ne). My wife, meanwhile, uses the creation of and exposure to art/media as a way to examine/crystallize/affirm her own values/meanings (Ne fueling Fi).
Practically speaking, I get creative when I’m full of things I want to express and have sat with those things a while. My wife gets creative out of nowhere, but she always ends up getting insights about herself and her values during her creativity. When we are choosing something to watch, I gravitate toward anything that expresses values/messages period, because I want ti examine them and how they are being demonstrated, how others are expressing their Fi. My wife gravitates toward things that express/affirm/critique values that she personally holds, because she is seeking something that is immediately applicable to shaping her Fi.
And similar thoughts/questions exist for me about the interactions of the other functions in each stack. Does 7 kind of jolt a person back into using 1? Is 8 often seen as a way to use 2 when the person feels disconnected from it due to a 1/3 loop or a 4 grip? What do 5 and 6 actually look like in someone’s life? Does 1 correlate to the way people most naturally view/admire God if they are religious? Linked to that, are 7 and 8 the places where anecdotally a religious person will most frequently see God as acting and themselves/people in general falling short?

Indeed, the biblical prophets can be described as unadapted and unintelligible, but this has traditionally been viewed as part of their mission and not as a deficiency. In psychology, on the other hand, everything seems to be evaluated in terms of its usefulness to society, even though there are enough negative examples of realized visions in the history of the 20th century.

    • @AlexisKingsley
      @AlexisKingsley  Год назад +1

The prophets had a good use of introversion (turning inward to get the vision) paired with the extraversion (in this case: turning outward to write/communicate and impact others with the vision.)
