The reason both of you flew on Malaysia Airlines because of codeshare flight which operated by Malaysia Airlines. If I knew that both of you having a transit stop in Doha we can have a chance to meet and have a cup of Karak Tea. Let me know if you’re going to have a transit stop again in Doha on your return flight and flying on Malaysia Airlines. Perhaps we can meet in Doha Airport. I used to work in Glasgow and Dundee. Now back in KL since the last 15 years, but we always make a point to visit Glasgow whenever we’re in the UK. I’m sure you will enjoy the highlands

Bring Abas to visit Edinburgh City to try the tram, no tram in Malaysia. Also visit the Edinburgh Central Mosque. The mosque kitchen sell cheap biryani, taste so so tbh. Near the mosque there is the Kebab Mahal, a Pakistani restaurant (Nicholson Square), very recommended, authentic, delicious food.
Surprise! We did go to Mosque Kitchen! Stay tuned for Edinburgh vlog! 😅🏴

I can relate to Abbas so much. I took my first international flight at the age of 31-for Umrah. During our journey home, I helped during a medical emergency onboard. MAS gave me a complimentary return flight because of that, and that's how I ended up in the Netherlands to visit my sister who was studying there. Of course, we also needed to go to England for the journey. A few years later, I pursued my studies in South Africa, miles from home. Again, something that never crossed my mind. Eight years from my first flight, I'm still a doctor (Alhamdulillah) and still travel economy (😂) but have been to 12 countries. Allah's plan is the best masyaAllah and I can see how Allah opened up the ways for you through your marriage Abbas, surely one of the many insyaAllah.
I'm just curious about your mom though, Alana. I'm wondering why she didn't go back to Scotland with you. I hope she enjoyed her stay in Malaysia without you and Abbas around.

I remember arriving in Oxford the first time many years ago as a student. I got sick for 2 days because of the cold weather.
KUL - DOH - EDI seems long? Try UPG - CGK - FRA - JFK which is my flight from home (Makassar, Indonesia) to home (USA) followed by a 2-3 drive to Pennsylvania... Total travel time with layovers should top 42 hours total travel...
Though to go the other way this year it was just JFK - SIN - UPG and about 24 h total travel.
These are the realities of when Westerners marry South East Asians...

Had an opportunity to travel to England in 2015 with MAS Airbus A380 which was a 12h direct flight. Not that many passengers to Heathrow I had a row to myself n feel like a first class cabin. First time to taste a cold weather I tot I was inside a freezer initially. I was literally shivering inside my jacket. 😂
