I’m glad that Boris is ok, I always wanted to be a K9 handler, that was until Bailey, my 14 year old collie passed away a few years back, God I loved that dog, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to form a bond with another dog again, because I know that one day, they will die and I absolutely refuse to go through that again, RIP Bailey, you were a good boy
I’ve been through it many times. The best bond I ever had was with the dog that is my photo ID. A retired German wire hair bird dog. He never left my side during chemo and surgeries. He was a big part of my support system. We miss him as he has passed away. The way to do it is to get another dog. If they don’t ever equal the one, that was so special, that’s the way it goes. You’ll love them for what they are. I can’t imagine living without a dog, even if that dog you get is a boob. Get another dog. You’re wasting time.
Aww bro I had a dog named Baylee too, she was my best friend for life sense I was young, she passed away not too long ago in an un natural way. it’s heartbreaking but all we can do is be thankful we where able to experience life together while It lasted. ❤️

The k9 officer is my friend. He is doing really well and Boris, his k9 is fine. The officer cam footage that was going for the pit, was a guy in the academy class before me. Most of the officers on this call were trainees from that academy class. It's crazy to see ppl I know personally, in this.

Holy mother of GOD. That part when the guy ran head on into the K9 officer broke my heart. I thought for sure both the officer and k9 would've been dead. You can tell right after the crash by the time it takes the officer to realize what's happened that he's concussed. But the fact that he checks on his dog first is just heart wrenching- I can only imagine the thoughts racing through his head about both him and the dog. I'm really, really glad they are both okay.
protip; for most mammals bigger than a breadbox if its not screaming/shrieking after the impact it's either dead, knocked out which is harder than it seems from media or it'll be fine... living at a major crossroads i've lost track of the number of dog versus vehicle incidents i've both seen and heard. volume and intensity of the sounds made usually indicate level of trauma and how likely survival is ect.

I'm AMAZED that the Cop who got hit Head on only had a Concussion! Hopefully, it doesn't get Worse! I got 3 Ruptured Discs, Chronic Whiplash, and Fibromyalgia when I got hit Head on by a drunk driver who was on the wrong side of the highway.

I have my own opinion... discipline. As a kid in school, if I acted up I got swats from the staff... when I got home dad painted my backside red again. Today, well, for years, people have not disciplined their kids and would rather be their kids best friend. They never face consequences and the first consequence the do face is Law Enforcement... that, in my opinion is why the world is the way it is. More kids need their asses beat.
