  • A review on the Bridgestone Battlax S22 Hypersport motorbike tires.
For me, these are the best tires I have ever had underneath me.
The caveat is that your riding style, bike, and conditions may be different.

Well, this video is 2yrs old but still spot on. I’ve ran Q3+ on my Ducati 1098 since they came out and they were just discontinued over the last year so I was looking for another go to tire. Saw a tire shootout where the S22 outperformed much more expensive shoes by quite a bit and were much cheaper to boot so I decided to slap a rear on to see how they handled. I distinctly thinking after that first ride that they had pretty awesome grip and I have never ran a tire further out on the edge than these. Definitely my new go to tires!

I thought I was the only one head over heels with these tires but I don’t have much experience with many others to compare. Great to hear your personal testimony about the s22.

I really like these tyres. I'm on my 8th set on a Superduke. Routinely get 9k out of the front and 5k to 6k out of the rear riding in the hills with full confidence. The wet weather performance is the best I've ever experienced.

I recently fit these to my gsxr and have to agree, they are a great tire.
They have not left me wanting in any situation I've put them through in the first 500-600 miles.
Good transitions between compounds, nice set up into a corner, and great hold once you get the bike in a lean.
Wet weather was as good as I could expect from this style of tire.
I can't recommend them highly enough.
    Good video

Use them on my 2016 street triple 675 and it was great. The only set back was the milage on it. 12 thousand on the rear touching the markers in the center while the side is still 30 to 40 percent as the tropical climate in Malaysia is very taxing on the highway.. Heard the Michelin Pilot 5 is lasting on milage and good on lean angle but sticking to the Bridgestone S22 as have proven to me on the performance but had to sacrifice on the milage.

Good review and agree 100% with everything you said 👍 I’ve just recently fitted a pair on my 2017 MT-09 and it transformed the bike and my riding. The previous tyres were the OEM S20’s and these are so much better. The bike often felt a bit twitchy in the corner, but these track beautifully. They are keen to fall into the corner and that took a bit of getting used to, but once scrubbed in have been awesome 🙂.

I put s22 tires on my cbr 1000rr and the first corner i took at 20 mph the rear tire spun out. IVe taken that same corner in town at 20 mph with many different tires and never had a issue, until the s22 tires. I think they will be good but take the break in process serious with the s22 tires. By all reports they are, I have only ridden them in the wet a few times, nothing outstanding, but predictable and reliable.

No, very slippery hen it’s wet and cold. Every day slipped this week! So: not good in the wet when temperatures are low.

I've ridden them on track in the rain. Was one of the fastest from the group. I found it very good in the wet.

I had a set of these tires on my GSX-S750,,, total GARBAGE tires I got about 3500 miles on the set and I was pushing the tire wear limit. I don't ride hard. I ride mostly cruising the mountain areas lots of curvy roads.
after about 2000 miles the rear tire started getting flat spot in the center. after about 2500 miles the rear tire started wearing out quickly.
most defiantly would NOT recommend these tires for any street bike.
I have a set of Perilli Angle ST's on the bike now..we'll see if these last, but they no longer make this tire now the are making the 'angle GT II'.
again,, BRIDGESTONE tires are garbage,, you'll be lucky to get 3000 miles out of a set.
