Here's Andrew York performing his composition "Annie's Song" on the third of the 3 Torres guitars owned by Francisco Tárrega - this one from 1888, numbered "SE 114" and made with spruce for the soundboard and CSA rosewood for the back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

This is how deep, quiet love sounds.

The soundboard of that guitar could surely tell some stories. As could that funky-ass shirt, but I'm far more interested in the guitar. Andrew is always at his best on a Torres, which is fitting. Another lovely piece - I almost reordered this one, not realizing I already had it with Song for Susan. I hate when I do that...

Puts paid to the B.S. 'experts' who will tell you a classical guitar is acoustically dead after ten years. I never did buy that crap. My old guitar was made in the 1940's and still gets oo's and ah's when others hear it and ask if it's for sale.
