What a wonderful homage to Tárrega! An exquisitely crafted contemporary piece with Romantic era elements 👏. One could tell that York performed this with respect & reverence for both the honored artist and the instrument involved. Those low tension Pepe Romero strings certainly make the portamenti sing too! Tárrega must be smiling down at this 😇
I had previously heard of this musician but had no idea how creative he is. Thanks Andrew this is a delightful tribute for one of the great father's òf the guitar.
This is sincerely beautiful. But I will say it is unlike him, most of his other compositions are quite cheesy and unoriginal. I thought he lacked talent, but I'm glad he proved me wrong

Composers like Andy keep classical music alive. The atonal modern stuff based on theories no one understands has emptied out concert halls. This however is beautiful
@@Freakybananayo when you say pretentious, you mean horrible music with no pattern or discernible melody, and a bunch of people holding wineglasses, pretending to be more educated than the rest of us, acting like they love it. One of course can never test them on whether they actually love it or not, because nobody can ever reproduce that type of music without the sheet music. It’s pure pretentiousness. Andy’s music is gold meanwhile, and so tastefully performed

Really good. In the past, some of York's most outstanding pieces, for me, were those (e.g. Denouement album, Glimmerings Suite) where he wrote very original tunes that yet nodded to the Dowland era. I wonder what would happen if he continued to do original pieces like this that nodded to the Tarrega era? One way or another, it is great to see that he is constantly composing.
