I saw Andre Segovia once at the Art Centre in Ottawa! He was in his 80's i believe and still practiced 8 hrs a day...he walked on stage slowly sat down on a bench and is it just flowed and flowed it was surreal!
I saw him at the Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas back in 1989. He's hands down the most gifted musician I've ever seen. He sounds like 5 people are playing but it's all him.
Pepe Romero came to my city in 2010 for a concert and my parents took me to watch him. I liked it but I was a little kid and I didn't care much. Now as a fully grown man, I would love to watch him again while he's still alive and well. This guy a is truly a magician
Muchas gracias
@@marlenedonovan882 Please do learn. No doubt that it requires work and constant practice. It's never too late to do what you love, please don't be your own and only obstacle.
Without a doubt one of my favorite pieces of music of all time, probably in my top 5. I have listened to many play it, and Pepe Romero may be my favorite. So much feeling, plus the impeccable tremolo. Just wow. I have visted the Alhambra. The piece perfectly captures the serenity of the place.
Esa melodía me hechizo.
If anyone knows how to play this, it's Pepe Romero! I've purchased more than a few of his recordings. The Romero family are all fantastic guitarists and musicians.
I love this piece, it really brings a lot of memories of my sweet old home..everything I have to leave to get better in this new place in this world. I´m crying !
Among the very best performances of this magical piece. As to who is "the best"?? That is impossible to judge. Each of us, as listeners, approaches the music we hear from a different perspective and that's why we have to keep listening to all the greats ... and just ENJOY THE MUSIC AND THE MUSICIANS without personal judgments.
Heard this song for the first time on the radio this morning and I just had to come to RUclips to find some live performances. So beautiful and relaxing!
That guy in the audience with the binoculars reminded me of the story that Julian Bream once told about how he went to see Segovia in concert after the war with his opera glasses to try and get some hints on Segovia picking technique.
Imagine what audience thought listing to this played by Tarrega himself for the first time such a masterpiece all the feeling and emotions reflect what Tarrega had put onto this Really a father of classical guitar his life reflects ups and downs 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Not the best without mistakes but the best of all technically and musically. Tremollo is so good that sounds more like one long note. Please notice. Thank you.
Everybody can make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. I prefer to listen to a kind person playing with some mistakes but with humility than a person who plays perfectly with effort, with pride... This is just an exampke. It is the nature of the heart that counts. I can feel that God is in Andres dancing fingers. GOD is in the audience. It is the presence of God that touches people's heart, that makes everything beautiful, peaceful, lovable that no word can describe. Only the heart can feel. And i can see that on the face of the audience. I cry...
Clicked on this video because the two orchestra members behind the guitarist on the cover shot seemed as if touched by something. Now I know by what: the overwhelming beauty of the music off Pepe's guitar.
I cry when looking at Andres and young people listening attentively to Andres. They are attracted to beauty and love. Isn't this yearning for love in us, created in the image of God? We all long for love, for beauty...
Just i watched The Sopranos season 6 episode 7... At the end of episode this song was start and i love it then i find myself here...

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Tremolo in the world of classical guitar. Virtuoso !
I have no words to say. Those who are watching him live are luckiest. I have a dream to see a guitarist live like him with unbelievable perfection.

If you listen to Pepe R. you can easily be sure - you listen to the BEST.
Extraordinary Pepe, as always his interpretations in the Spanish music, recital and Concerts, till now totally insurmountable
Pepe’s performance of this classic is incredible! Loved the way the video included the crowd listening. I thought it made it more intimate.
