I have no idea what music theory Andy uses when he composes but most importantly, he hears, and understands beautiful music. It has no importance how complicated and theory solid music is when it fails to capture beauty. Andy’s music is modern, but more than anything, it is clearly beautiful. If you should ask, how do you define beautiful, here’s my answer: you’ll know it when you see it, you will know it when you hear it.
Andrew York is one of my favorite living classical guitarists and composers for guitar. Thanks for sharing this!

The 1888 de Torres is an absolutely exquisite guitar. And Mr (Maestro) York's performance of Home on it is sublime... sublime enough to make you weep with joy.
I’m sure Mr. York could make any ol guitar sing it’s heart out but him playing on a is just.... well... special. Him playing Julian Bream’s Hauser II was especially exquisite.
Andrew brings out the best of this Instrument. His playing is so heartfelt.

Very intresting "fade" effect at 22:59, easily mistakable, (if not for the video) with a radio "fade" at the end of tracks, transitioning to other tracks. I love it

I've been listen Andrew's guitar compositions and sounds very "movie soundtrack" inspired .. is there any movie/tv show using these themes? ... Great music!!
Not to my knowledge. But, the thing is, you probably got that in reverse: Most movie scores are actually classical music used to do, what classical music do by far the best of all genres, creating an emotion!

It’s been established that music is a mathematical and geometrical progression, can someone explain the correlation of those formulae to what he is playing, what it appears is an ascending and descending major and minor third ending on a particular chord. Regardless it’s a nice show on the screen.

One of my favorite contemporary composers. The association of music with maths is particularly inspiring. One of his compositios, for example, is called Pi, dedicated to that wonderful ratio.
