Making a Backing Track No 49 Megadeth Style

- I've used a chunk of the Megadeth song A Tout Le Monde for the basis of this week's backing track jam. As always, I show you the making of the backing track from scratch and then perform an improvised guitar solo over the top. This week I had to break off before recording the solo as a guy bought a parcel round which had been delivered to his house by mistake! This threw me off completely and led to me recording a solo without recording the close up of the guitar solo or the audio recording from my lapel mic! So the solo shown here is the 2nd take. Keep your eye on the clock and you'll see I lost about 15 minutes. It's still pretty good going, though to produce this in such a short time. Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers Richard - yeah next Tuesday will be the big five-oh! That's gonna be my last one for a while - I've got loads of other jobs I need to get done unfortunately.
hi sie just wondering if there are any plans of you doing more videos in the near future especially pro tips hopefully so as I've got a question I know nirvana aren't your thing as such I've seen live videos of the band and I know a few songs are in different tuinings yet he doesn't stop to tune the guitar change guitars yet it sounds ok how does he get away with it it doesn't seem he used to use a pedal with drop tuning on it just curious fingers crossed we will see you again soon take care mate
Hi Richard - no plans for the immediate future to be honest. Regarding the tuning thing - you're right he wouldn't be using a pedal in those days. All I can think of is this:- If he needs 3 different tunings during a show he will have 3 guitars. If I was playing massive shows where money's no object I'd have a spare for each of the 3 guitars too - just in case a string breaks. Why not?
