  • This is a beautiful Unreal Engine 5 horror game with an interesting setting and excellent voice acting. I don't normally play horror games but I was intrigued and felt compelled to keep playing. It was quite immersive and scary at times and while these type of games aren't my jam I did enjoy my time.

    ''Chromatic abomination''
''looks like Gregor is running at 30 fps'' 😂😂😂😂
This game reminds me of one of my all time favorite horror movies I used to watch as a kid, Deep Rising. I'm sooooooooo getting this, thanks a ton for bringing it to my attention!
Edit (commenting as I'm watching): Not toooo fond of the burning film effect tbh, it's distracting but I bet someone will release a mod for that. Other than that and the questionable performance everything looks amazing

This isn't really my type of game but the setting, visuals and voice acting are really good. It was very immersive. Unfortunate that yet another game launches on Game Pass without very important features like DLSS and FSR. I recall quite a few others releasing like this one with The Ascent being a very annoying one because it launched without DLSS and ray tracing on Game Pass until months later. Microsoft need to fix this ASAP. Especially for a UE5 game like this, upscalers are very important. What do you think?

@@TerraWare Ooh I didn't know it was up to Microsoft to approve? Upscalers etc. I think it's been like 5 years since the first upscaler was released and it should be a given in new demanding titles but also for the AA if not just for the performance bump.
But I'll be honest I don't know how it works with game pass, is there something technical that also needs to be done on Microsoft's side for it to be implemented?

@@constantinesoldatos It's not that it's something Microsoft has to a prove as much as the build of the game having to be coded somewhat differently for the Windows Store version of the game which is what Game Pass is.
It turns out Digital Foundry covered this in their recent DF Direct #168 at the 44 minute mark. To sum it up this was the developers statement in the matter
"To add more information, we have some technical limitations due to the difference between how the Game Pass and Steam / Epic Store versions are built. Unfortunately, this means that other upscaling options aren't available in the Game Pass version.
The PS5, Xbox X|S, and WinGDK (Game Pass PC) versions all have the same options. While we added extra upscaling options to the Steam and Epic Store versions. Adding them to WinGDK would require a custom coded solution."
Long story short Microsoft should make it easier for devs to be able to provide feature parity in my opinion. There's already little reason to purchase PC games of the Windows Store, this is another unnecessary hurdle.

@@TerraWare Oh I see, awesome thanks for taking the time to type it out for me man, appreciate it. 🤘
Well Microsoft was complaining on how they've plateaued in terms of gamepass subs and things such as this don't help when the majority of people run lower end rigs and depend heavily on upscaling.
Personally I always had a great experience with Steam and I feel safer purchasing my games there, the only game I currently have and play on my pc Xbox app is Halo infinite and I plan on keeping it that way personally. Game pass never appealed to me personally, I just feel better buying games outright. Nothing against people who use it though, it's just personal preference.
Also it's a matter of value, game pass is great if you play tons of games very month but if you only stick to certain releases like I do then you're at a loss in the long run

@@constantinesoldatos I like GP. They always ad co-op games too which I play. They have added the Hivebusters DLC for Gears 5. Just downloaded it. About to check it out. It's the best uxample of how to do Unreal Engine 4 games the right way. No Stutter.

To my knowledge that is not how TSR works. TSR unlike the other upscalers has those quality settings that effect the quality of the temporal AA used in the upscaling, low to epic TSR is just the temporal aspect. You manually can select the resolution you would like on the res scale and then the quality of the TAA within TSR via that second option. It worked for me on a 4090 I played the whole game at 90% TSR epic because the default is 67% res scale(because they match DLSS and FSR res scale for their quality option). It functions exactly this same way in fortnite as well.

      @TerraWare  27 дней назад

@@D3nsity_ I guess that makes sense. You choose tsr, dlss, fsr etc than use render scale slider to adjust render resolution.

@@TerraWare Yes sometimes DLSS and FSR override the res scaler and do not allow adjusting. Bonus when they do!

Bro i wanna buy controller for pc should i buy ps5 controller because of its adaptive trigger but it only work using usb on pc or should i buy xbox controller. As more and more games are now supporting adaptive trigger and haptic feedback like horzion forbidden west and ghost of tushima

I've been mainly using an Xbox controller but you can use a PS controller wirelessly, it's just the dual sense features aren't supported unless plugged in. I'd say use whatever feels most comfortable to you.

    • @AbhinavRamana

If you are playing on steam then all controllers will be supported using steam input . So buying ps5 controller is better for games that support it and steam input can be used where it's not supported. But if you are playing on gamepass then xbox is safer option
